The highway connects downtown Gulf Shores to the tip of the peninsula at the Fort and Fort Morgan Ferry, which goes to Dauphin Island. The drive down Old Fort Morgan Highway is visually stunning. The road rambles through undisturbed Southern woods and past the wide waters of the Little Lagoon before opening to a dramatic northern vista where Mobile Bay meets Bon Secour Bay. Come experience the Fort Morgan lifestyle and enjoy the beach the way it was intended, where Southern charm meets a bohemian atmosphere and unforgettable vacation memories are created.

Dolphin Watch is located on Bon Secour Bay on the Fort Morgan peninsula, approximately 11 miles west of Gulf Shores on State Highway 180 (Fort Morgan Road). It is near both top-rated golf courses on the island, The Peninsula and Kiva Dunes.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire home other than a locked supply closet and the garage.

Our public beaches are quiet and easily accessible. The closest public access is at Mobile Street. It is about a three-minute drive from the house. It has a parking area and a boardwalk. Mobile Street is definitely our favorite public access on the peninsula.
Other things to note
Beach Information:

✶ Swimming in the Gulf of Mexico is much different than swimming in a pool. It is important to respect the strength of the water and to protect the marine life that lives in our area. Guests can check the surf conditions before heading to the beach. Riptides are a serious concern for the Fort Morgan Peninsula. To ensure guest safety, please pay attention to water conditions. Always check the tide and weather conditions before getting into the Gulf of Mexico. To receive a daily text with surf conditions and beach flag information, text ALBEACHES to 888-777.

✶ On that same note, it is highly important to respect the sea turtles, especially during nesting season, which runs May through October. It is a Federal offense to disturb a sea turtle or its nest. In an effort to help this endangered species, despite what others do, do not leave beach equipment on the beach overnight and do not leave on bright floodlights. The floodlights disorient the baby sea turtles, which results in a very sad ending to their lives. If the Fish and Wildlife department can pinpoint a home's floodlight to a disturbed nest, they will charge the guests with a Federal offense. Help us care for our endangered species.

Great home, very clean with plenty of rest rooms. The only issue was the stove top. Everything else was perfect and we really loved the super long boat dock and very large parking area.

We vacationed with family and friends ages 19 to 64. The house was great. We saw Dolphins on the majority of the days we were there. We caught a few fish, saw beautiful sunrises and sunsets and took some great pictures of storms in the distance. There was almost always a cool breeze on the dock to help with the heat. The beach access was close. We stay in Fort Morgan because we prefer less people on the beaches. The house is in a great location for that and yet has easy access for shopping etc. I met the host Ahdy and he was very gracious. Thank you again for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.

My 2 sons, parents, brother, and I loved staying here!! Such a beautiful place! Enjoyed time on the pier fishing and swimming in the bay. We had the ocean just couple minutes on the other side! The house is located away from the big crowds and very peaceful. Absolutely loved walking on the private pier and watching sun rise and set. Andhi was very responsive with any questions. The home was very clean. My family and I did not want to leave. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to just relax and have everything within few minutes away. Thank you Andhi and I hope we get another chance to stay again!

We were very pleased with the property. Everything was as described or better as far as I could tell. The view and private pier was amazing. The house itself was in very good condition I would highly recommend anyone to visit here. The host was very easy to communicate with and prompt in returning any messages we had.

Dolphin Watch's view is fabulous. We used the pier frequently to enjoy the sunrise and sunset. Fished from it, catching some skates and small fish and were lucky enough to witness schools (1000s) of croaker (I think) pass through while pelicans tried to pluck them out of the water. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals and furniture was comfortable. Grill wasn't available to us at first, but when we requested it, we had it when promised. Two items of note: If you choose to stay and you plan on cooking, be sure to bring (or buy) any spices you need. Unlike other vrbo's this property wasn't stocked with anything but some salt and pepper. The other item of note is the security cameras on the back deck, you will not any privacy on the deck due to the placement of the cameras - just something to be aware of.

First off. The pictures don't do this house justice. Its beautiful, with a gorgeous view. The dock is a game changer when you aren't at the beach. My husband and his friends caught several fish. And used a crab trap and caught several crab as well. You can watch the beautiful sunsets, not blocked by anything, absolutely gorgeous. We saw dolphins in the AM on several days. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook at home. All the appliances are new and updated. The stand alone stove is the least updated, however it works great. We also took advantage of the washer and dryer, which are also great. Each bedroom has super comfy beds and pillows, we had 6 adults and everyone agreed they were so comfy, and the ceiling fan in each room was a plus. The new deck is big and nice to sit when you open up the awning. The beach access is a 2 min drive away. A piece of advice for the veterans rd. beach access, get there early because there is enough room for 4 vehicles tops. We didn't mind that part, since that's why we were there. It really felt like a private beach, such white sand. It was truly an amazing stay. The owner was very quick and responsive to all messages. On the last morning, we had the opportunity meet him. Very friendly, pleasant gentleman. All 6 of us would highly recommend and would for sure stay here again. You won't be disappointed with this beautiful house.

Home was exceptionallly clean and beautiful. Breath taking views of the bay and sunrise/sunsets. Enjoyed dolphins coming in close. Master bedroom king bed was more than comfortable. Floor to ceiling windows allowed for beautiful views. We did close curtains in BR during day to allow cooler temps in that room. Overall great rental.

My group of 4 oldies, but goodies had such a wonderful time at your home. My husband had a bad knee so it was nice not to have to fight stairs when unpacking and packing. Easy check in via provided code was appreciated. The home was beautiful and had all we needed through out our stay to cook and such. It was a hot weekend so most importantly, the air conditioning worked spot on. We always enjoy the laid-back and friendly atmosphere that Fort Morgan's Beach Community offers and your property was perfectly located for us to enjoy nearby boat launch, restaurants and gulf side public beaches all whilst not having to fight traffic. It was especially nice be able to dock our bay boat on your long fishing pier all weekend for easy access to fish the open waterways throughout our stay. I think what makes this property extraordinarily special is that we had the advantage of viewing both the beautiful sunrises and the amazing sunsets from the homes rear deck everyday. We will definitely be back Thank you so much for providing such a wonderful stay.

Beautiful views (gorgeous sunrises and sunsets), fun catching small fish and feeding them to our new friend Henry the Heron! (The dock was our favorite place)The house was well stocked with everything we needed except ice. Not sure if the ice machine was not connected but some ice trays would have been helpful. I did find the brita to fill for fresh cold water which was great. I really appreciated scents throughout the house even though i may have been slightly allergic it smelled great! The beds were all very comfortable and having 3 bathrooms was the best (loved that there was plenty of soft, fluffy towels and great water pressure)! The yard was very sandy so we stuck to using just one of the back patio doors but still tracked alot of sand in. Area rugs inside of doors may be helpful. The updates were noticeable and appreciated. The tv was huge! I travel with my own android tablet so i was able to stream shows in bed but i would have appreciated a small tv in master. Master bedroom is huge and has the best views! I loved being farther away from all the touristy beach areas. Fort Morgan beach was much more my pace, great for pets and so close by. We got lucky to find a parking spot in the small public lot there.
