Stayed Dec 26, 2023Pros: Very beautiful setting in Sarasota Away from the noise and traffic of Sarasota Loved being around the horses and dogs. Cons: Spider webs in cottage, mold in tub, broken sweeper, lint filter in dryer was full, a total of five clothes hangers, window shades broken, rusted and filthy, cleaning rags and mop had to be washed, broken dead bolt lock, bath tub faucet control was replaced backwards the cottage, if not rented for a long period, needs to be cleaned prior to anyone’s stay Generally, there are many bugs in cottage and no signs of pest management, it is Florida Internet is of dialup speed and spotty cell coverage so just plan on waiting, we bought a DVD player for entertainment (none provided) Kitchen was equipped with old pots and pans we had to purchase new pans, chipped cups, cabinets were filthy, dirty drinking glasses and dull knives, stove was functional but rusted on bottom needs to be replaced The queen bed was broken down and was replaced with a smokey mattress and that had to be replaced overall it took 4 weeks Air conditioner had to be fixed during our stay Furniture in some areas is second hand children’s furniture Swimming pool is not heated (we knew before stay) and many times had a brown-green hue We had to deal with an intermittent sewer/septic smell for two weeks until it was finally fixed

Stayed Mar 2, 2023Great getaway with horses hanging around your porch. We loved it and rebooked for next year. Great to sit on the deck with your coffee and watch the horses grazing. The staff was great and special shout-out to Alfredo , the horse whisperer. Checkin and out was easy, Lauraine could not have been nicer. It is a working ranch and we could not be happier with the surroundings. The pool was a lifesaver as we were in Florida during red tide and the beaches were the worst I have ever seen. If you want to walk around hitting up bars and restaurants it’s not for you but if you do drive to these places, you will love coming home to paradise.

Stayed Jan 1, 2023This was an amazing setting, and our host was most helpful and responsive to a few small things. The pool was great, and it was fun to live amongst the horses. Very tranquil yet close to everything you need. Bed was a bit soft. Definitely a great spot for nature lovers.

Stayed Dec 23, 2021The property is beautiful and being in the horse pasture is an added bonus. The pool was nice and the kids enjoyed it even though it was quite chilly. The cottage is nicely equipped and well maintained. We had a little trouble finding the cottage, however that was quickly resolved as Lauraine was very responsive our entire stay. We would stay here again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a great stay here. It was our last week of three and we wished we had been here the entire time. Everything was as pictured and owner was very nice and prompt with replies. We cant say enough positives about it.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The ad for this property does not show that you are actually IN the horse pasture! No problem with that except the horses mill about the house about 2 pm waiting to be taken in about 5 which creates a dusty yard ..... Lauraine is pleasant to deal with and Denis is great— very responsive .very helpful.. For a long stay the living room chair is very uncomfortable and the bed mattress needs a replacement. The mattress topper Lauraine was quick to supply made the pull out very comfortable . The property is close to shopping and super convenient to 75 which gets you north and south while still being in the country —- so far. There is massive housing construction nearby. Martha

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Dearest Lauraine, You Kick major butt's! Thank you for everything! Any and everything we needed, you made happen. From early check-in, letting us park our RV here, letting our little one play with your children's toys, the amazing ranch tour you took us on.... I really could go on forever! Or stay will be remembered for a lifetime and the dogs had so much fun here! The baby loved her evening walks and playing with the horses and goats! We'll be back for sure! We're so happy we found you and your ranch! With Love, the Gallagher's (Austin TX.)

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We spent 6 nights in this cottage while visiting with friends in the area. The location is convenient and easy access to I-75. The cottage was as described and we found it to be clean and the kitchen was well stocked. Our only negative was that we were on the go so much we didn't have enough down time at the ranch to truly enjoy it. You need to remember this is a working ranch and not the Ritz Carlton, however, it is a lovely property. We enjoyed seeing the horses and goats. The homeowner was excellent to work with both in advance and at the time of our arrival.
