Best unit I've ever stayed in. Beautiful and peaceful.
Plenty of space and sesti on the patio
The waterway provides a scenic view to watch shrimp boats, barges, & fishing activity along the waterway. Also, family/ kids enjoyed fishing & watching the area waterfowl.
The place was beautiful, and very clean. Had everything you needed.
We were able to sit on the deck and watch shrimp boats, fishing boats and barges pass within feet of us. The house was very well stocked with about anything you will need. The owner lives next door and is ready to answer your questions. We would do this again.
We totally loved fishing from the dock. We caught several spices of fish (red drum, black drum, cat fish, whiting, crab, and shrimp eel. We have stayed here before and knew how. Ice it was. Definitely recommend this place! Looking forward to our next stay.
A home away from home. Comfortable. Nice to sit and watch the boats travel past.
The place is in a dismal state. Broken things: Refrigerator, doors, floors, blinds, and bathroom fixtures. Strange smell throughout the unit. What the listing did not mention is that it is a mobile home. Every piece of furniture, bed, appliances, linen, etc. appears to be straight out of a Goodwill shop. Ended up not checking in and customer service or response from the management has been very poor.
The low rating is because of the cleaning service. Upon arrival, I noticed hair in the shower and some of the towels were folded and placed in the cabinet as if they were clean. When I picked up a towel it felt damp so I opened it up and noticed that it was dirty. I then checked all of the towels to determine if they were clean or not. I ended up finding 3 folded that were not clean. I ended up having to wash all of the towels before we could use them. Later I received a text asking about the cleanliness of the place. I informed Vacasa and I told them I already put them in the washing machine and we were out enjoying the amenities of the community. Later that night when the kids were going to bed, I then noticed blood on the pillow. I pulled back the blanket and the sheets were dirty. I immediately contacted Vacasa. They said they notified the local team. I asked if someone would fix this issue that night because it was after 11pm and I was told that the local team was aware. Nobody from the local team contacted me. I ended up washing all of the bed linens before we could sleep. In the morning, I went to use the microwave and it was really dirty. I contact Vacasa back and said no one contacted me about the sheets and that the microwave was dirty. I also informed them that I washed the sheets and that I wanted it noted about the microwave. This was not that big of a deal but by this time I had to wash towels, sheets, and clean a shower before we could use them. I sent pictures of everything during our communication. -Bed was made but sheets were dirty -Towels were folded but wet and dirty -Microwave was cleaned on the outside but really dirty in the inside. The house looks exactly like the pictures. The deck was amazing. My husband caught several fish while sitting on the deck. You have to bring your own supplies. The kitchen has a ton of utensils but you have to bring your own spices. Bathrooms has 1 extra toliet tissue roll and cleaning products. Bring extra paper towels and toliet paper if you are staying for a week with a party of 4. Checkin- You have to stop at the information center and get your parking tag, wristbands, and gate key. They close at 5pm during the week. Overall, I would stay here again . I would check everything as soon as I walk in. I recommend they find a better cleaning service or address the person that cleaned before our stay.
We loved this place. Has everything you need while on vacation. Kids loved watching dolphins from patio and fishing on the patio dock. Beds and pillows were comfortable. The Couch fold out bed was not comfortable so take a pillow top or extra blankets to put on it. Kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, cups, pans, utensils. Patio has two grills so we were able to cook out and make smores. Easy access to South padre island. We would definitely love to stay here again real soon.
THE HOUSE AND PROPERTY ARE GREAT , HOWEVER ,THE FISHING DEPENDS ON THE CURRENT HIGH/LOW TIDE. THE PICTURE IN POST WAS TAKING AT HIGH TIDE,THERE IS A SHADOW THAT IS A RESULT FROM POSSIBLE DREDGING OR LOW TIDE WHICH MAKES FISHING MORE DIFFICULT.ITS A LONG ISLAND OF MUD IN FRONT OF FISHING DOCK.
My family and I stayed for 3 nights. This was our first time staying in an RV park. The WiFi did not work during our stay. I reached out via VRBO and never received a response. I also reached out via text to same number which texted me the details/passcodes and did not receive a response. I’m assuming communication is only via hotline phone number. We ultimately utilized our own cell phone hotspots for our relax time. Parking is tight. Other than the WiFi and not realizing this home was in an RV/tiny home community, our stay was a great family experience!
Nice waterfront property . Wonderful deck and the water access was very handy
The house was spotless, and well stocked with utensils and appliances.
