Enjoy the summer in West Shore of Lake Tahoe in this nostalgic home in Chamberlands. The inviting home features all the Tahoe musts - wood fireplace in the living room, open floor plan in upper living room, dining room and kitchen. Updated decks and close to hiking trails and Chamberlands private beach. Hiking and biking trails nearby.
The upper floor's living and kitchen area, where you will gather while indoors, has an open floor plan with everything you need for cooking. This home is well kept with many original features of the old Tahoe cabin. You will enjoy the large deck in the back with your morning coffee or good book. The kids and adults alike will love the lower floor ping pong room, designed for pure family fun.
Eight people (two families or a group of friends) will enjoy the home and location. On the main floor, you have all three bedrooms. Two with queen beds and the third bedroom has 3 twin beds and a twin trundle if needed. The lowest floor features the game room with a nice ping pong table. .

Location:
On a summer day, you will be only a few minutes from beautiful lake beaches. You may choose to grab a burger or Chambers Punch at the Chambers Landing Bar and Grill, or a sandwich and groceries at Tahoma Market and Grill. For a night out, explore the restaurants in Tahoe City (less than 5 miles).
Other things to Note:
* Use of the BBQ is not guaranteed in winter months, due to limited access.
* Due to the temperate climate, like most homes/condos in Tahoe, this one does not have Air Conditioning. There are plenty of fans available in the event that we have an usually hot spell.
* Parking is available for 3 cars total. All cars must park on the driveway. No street parking per county ordinance.
*Prepare for mountain or winter weather driving in winter months. This may mean Four wheel drive with snow tires or chains. Check weather or road reports. AWD and 4WD necessary to get up the mountain roads and some driveways in the winter months.
*Renters must be 25+
*Maximum Occupancy per county ordinance is 8 adults
* This is a non-smoking home.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed five days in this property that was reminiscent of the 70's. Surprised to find one bathroom for the three bedrooms on one level and another bathroom on a level where there were no bedrooms. Even worse, the diverter for the shower stall on the bedroom level broke the first morning and was not repaired, but taped over. The expectation seemed to be that all six of us would be using the one shower on the level where there were no bedrooms. Would have expected the owner/manager to propose some sort of accommodation for us--there was no communication. There were six of us on the reservation, there were four sets of towels, etc., we had to request two more--which were quickly delivered. The unit was clean when we arrived and appliances all worked. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots/pans, etc. We had access to the private beach. We made use of the pingpong table on the lowest level. Parking was easy. BBQ was operative. Site is situated in the Homewood/Tahoma area and was quiet with convenient access to both Tahoe City and South Shore. The grandkids were appreciative of having access to Netflix. There were a few board games for play in the evenings. Overall, the property needs some work, but was OK for our purposes.
Really enjoyed our stay here. Its a great mountain experience cabin with a vintage cabin feel. Just what we were looking for. Brought back memories of when my parents took me to Homewood each year to my uncles cabin which was just right down the street from this one. Well maintained with a classic cabin decor and amenities. My family absolutely loved this cabin and you can tell that the owners love it too!

It is very well maintained and thoughtful with all the details from kitchen supplies to extra blankets to beach bags and mats. Beds are very comfortable. Location was so close to beach. The teens in our group walked to the beach daily. We appreciate the old school retro feel and felt compelled to treat cabin like our own because of the care and thought the owners put into it. We gifted a lightning connector to hook up cell phone to use old stereo with Bose speakers in kitchen. Enjoy your time, we did! Our family enjoyed staying at Happy as a Lark; with comfortable beds, amenities in the kitchen and bathrooms, clean accommodations, nice decks and easy walk to Chambers Beach.
Great value in an excellent location. Main living level is amongst the trees which was very cool. The back deck is peaceful and the family room is great. This is a classic cabin with dated decor that brought back great memories from my childhood when visiting Chambers Landing.
We love Chambers and this was a great, old school Tahoe getaway!
This home was great. Spacious and easily fit my family of 5 plus teenage cousin. My husband and I both had to work remotely for part of the trip and there was reliable, fast internet and enough space for us to be able to do so easily. Loved the 60’s/70’s vibe….it was dated but everything clean and in excellent working order. Will stay here again if available.
What sets rentals apart for me is when I know that they are owned by people who care about the property. It was clear to me that a family owned this cabin for sometime and that they have taken immaculate care of it. It was everything I had looked for: Clean, personal, well-equipped.

Although the structure is not in a Tree, the private setting is beautiful among the trees, so I nicknamed it the Treehouse. My siblings and I had a summer vacation here and it was wonderful. The staff was responsive and provided excellent customer service. The access to the Club house, Pool, Tennis Courts, and Beach were extremely convenient. We look forward to visiting again.
