Stayed Oct 31, 2025We loved the house--it was homey and clean, and it felt like someone's actual home. So many short term rentals these days are investment properties and feel like they've been outfitted by AI--something that had a vague idea of what a human on vacation might want, but no actual human experience. The kitchen and bathrooms had all the things we needed, the livingroom was cozy and all the furniture was comfortable. Sitting on the warm rocks down by the beach was lovely, and there are SO many great places to walk nearby. We highly recommend the Appalachee Preserves, which are just a short walk away. We ate out at Ports of Italy and the Thistle Inn and both were delicious. We had a great visit and would definitely stay here again.

Stayed Oct 6, 2025We enjoyed our stay! Loved that we could bring our dogs with us. Dock over looking the water was our favorite part of the property.

Stayed Sep 26, 2025We celebrated my father's 80th birthday at the cottage and really enjoyed the weekend. The deck overlooking the cove and the cove acces was great. The dogs loved retrieving dummies in the water. The cottage is a classic, old school Maine cottage which was fun and reminded me of Maine when I was a kid.

Stayed Jun 5, 2025The house was exactly as pictured and described in the listing. The bedrooms were smaller, which is typical in old New England construction, but was made up for with the various common spaces, and outdoor spaces for utilization. The covered porch was amazing since we ended up with rain for most of our trip. All of the appliances were in working order. The house and each bedroom were clean, and tidy. The decor was all themed to the nautical New England vibe we wanted for the weekend.

Stayed Aug 29, 2024It's fine as long as you go into it with the understanding that it's an old farm house that has been marginally mantained a not updated. A corner of the property has a water view which is pretty. After hours communication with the management company was slow. We stayed because it was one of the last available properties on a holiday weekend but would not go back.

Stayed Oct 11, 2024Our party of 8 enjoyed our stay. The house is well equipped and stocked to get you started. Conveniently located to town and the Botanical Gardens. Plenty of outside space for kids to run around and play. It has a beautiful view of the cove but is very rocky. This didn't stop us from hunting hermit crabs and catching fish. The house is old but that gives it the Maine charm.

Stayed Sep 18, 2024We were a family of 8, ranging from 2 y/o to 70 - and this house was absolutely perfect! Enough seating, rooms, and bedding for everyone to be together as well as take some space to themselves. Boothbay Harbor is a wonderful place to visit and we didn't go too far out of town since there was already so much to do there for us. we would definitely stay again!
