Centrally Located and Minutes to Mayo Beach (1389)

My wife's family had a house in this neighborhood until a few years ago, so we loved being back to where it felt so familiar. We came with our son and his wife and their two small (1&3yo) children.Pros: - Great location at the end of a quiet street just a short walk into town. - The house had lots of space where each family had its own floor to retreat to. - There is a second living room in the lower level that's perfect for older kids (or adults) to spend time on their own. - The kitchen was spacious and well equipped for cooking in when you need a restaurant break. - The deck is huge and high up at treetop level where we sat a couple of nights and watched the stars. - With a lower floor below the ground level prone to moisture, the two dehumidifiers helped keep it feeling dry. We had to empty the collected water tanks daily. People highly sensitive to (minimal) mustiness might want to sleep on the upper floor. - The furniture is not high end but comfortable. The beds were fine. The minor stains on the coffee table and rugs make the home feel lived in and not like you are in a museum. - We would gladly rent this house again.Cons: - We found that basic items like toilet paper, dishwasher soap and cleaning supplies were in short supply or non-existent. We asked the property manager about this and they replied Every homeowner is different but we ask our homeowners to at least supply enough for your arrival. Some homeowners leave back up supply and some don't. You should be prepared to bring your own or buy them locally. - Twice we started the dishwasher (could hear it) only to find at some point it stopped without finishing the cycle. Possibly operator error, but just check to make sure it is still running.This house is a great choice. Enjoy Wellfleet!

After renting the same property for many years, this year we had to find a new house. This house was awesome for a family. My fiancé and I had the whole lower level which was like our own little apartment minus the kitchen. The first floor had a great living room, dining room and large kitchen. There was also an extra table for games or puzzling! The upstairs had 2 huge bedrooms with a jack & Jill bathroom so my son and his family had the whole upstairs and then we shared the main floor. The deck across the whole back of the house was amazing! We all spent alot of time out there. And it truly was only a 5-minute ride to town or Mayo beach.

There is a finished basement with a bedroom, full bath and large living room with a flat screen tv; the 2nd floor has 2 bedrooms and full bath. The 1st floor (ground floor) has a smaller living room with flat screen tv, kitchen and dining room. All appliances worked and the kitchen is well stocked with utensils and large dishes. More plastic-ware and storage containers would be helpful. We really appreciated the expanded cable offerings on the first floor living room tv. The basement tv had mainly children's programming. The big deck was great; we ate outside many times.The outdoor shower did not work (it sprayed all over the place) and is very inconveniently located underneath a corner of the deck. The first-floor living room chairs (2 old laz-e-boy recliners which were the only chairs in the room) were very uncomfortable. There's a small sofa as well. All the beds were fine. We enjoyed our stay -- it's a very nice house --although we missed being able to rinse off outside after the beach. Neighborhood is a little noisy - barking dogs and the sounds of traffic.

The property description says that the master bedroom is on the ground level, which is somewhat misleading. The master bedroom is in the basement. We found the furniture in the living room worn and uncomfortable . There is a nice set of sofas in the basement TV room. I suggest that they swap the furniture in these two rooms. I would not recommend this home to my family and freinds

The walkers liked the closeness of town and beach! The house had everything we could need: kitchen well appointed with large pots and pans (corn on the cob and scrambled eggs for all). Internet and TV a little too easy. 😇 We worked most of the week on a huge jigsaw puzzle using the table inside front door and played card games there. Grill was clean and well used. When that hot sun wasn’t shinning we enjoyed the breeze and stars from the deck and comfortable chairs. Finally: Wellfleet has the BEST oysters!

We never had to go out and buy things like toilet paper and dishwashing liquid for dishes and dishwasher. It was an inconvenience when you have only 6 days there with check in not until 4pm and check out at 9am! The cost was way higher too.The outside deck is cheaply made as they nailed Trex decking causing nails to stick out which my husband cut his foot.

Well-equipped for all types of cooking and entertaining. Great location for walking to town and Mayo beach area. Highly recommend for a family vacation in Wellfleet. Well-priced.

My grandsons(2)& I had this house. Was within easy walk for boys to Wellfleet center. Nice, quiet setting. Clean, well appointed! We ate locally: The Pearl, Mac’s Shack, Windsor House (former Aesop’s Table), Flying Fish twice for breakfast! All great‼️?? Reasonable price for week!
