Cedar Creek Lakefront Vacation Rental w/ Pool

This is a great property that needs improvement! It is a perfect location, lots of space, and kitchen was well equipped. The pool was very murky, all 3 propane tanks were empty for the grill and the grill was very dirty. The house was very clean but the outside deck needs lots of TLC. The dock was so full of cobwebs you could not get around them. A quick sweep before guests arrive would have been nice. Whomever is responsible for communication did not really want to communicate. I was told I could ask my questions on the Tuesday before arrival. I told them we were leaving and had a couple of issues locking up and never received a response. We really liked the house but there just needs to be some minor issues resolved.

Great location and really enjoyed the pool. Beautiful view. The house could definitely be cleaner-lots of webs/insects on patio, thick dust on air vents inside. But bedrooms and bathrooms clean. Good amount of room for the 7 of us. I would stay again.

It was ok - driveway and sidewalk walking in were not clean , very muddy. Grass was overgrown. Just didn’t look like much upkeep. Inside of property was clean and comfortable. The neighbors have a sign in the yard that isn’t very welcoming , it says “this neighbor is for neighbors, not vbro” , they were not friendly lake people.

We were able to check in very early and that was huge plus! House had some plumbing issues, but host contacted city and they came out that night to assess. The pool and views were great we enjoyed that part the most. House was great for our family of 6. The bunk room is detached from main house, but has a lock on it so was okay for our family as the older teens stayed out there some. I saw another review about the bugs, to be expected on the lake so we just brought extra bug spray, but the deck and boat dock could be power washed prior to arrival to help remove some of the bugs and webs. We had a great quick getaway here and the hosts were very quick to respond to any concerns or questions! The neighbors tacky yard sign is out of homeowners/hosts control, unfortunate they are the neighbors lol we definitely recommend this house for family fun!!

The first thing we noticed was one of the neighbors yard sign. We felt it was very rude what was said about Vrbo. But we definitely didn’t let that ruin our weekend getaway. On the other hand the other neighbors were very kind and helpful. Secondly, the backyard deck was definitely infested with bugs and flies we came in having to hose the whole deck down and sweep the deck. Luckily someone came out to solve that problem and over time we saw less and less flies (it’s understandable why so many bc it is a lake house) The pool was GREAT ! All it needed was a new net (the one provided was ripped) The inside(house) was very clean and fully packed with basic household needs (towels, dish soap, trash bags.. etc) The owners were always quick to respond to any needs. Thank you again for the stay !

You could sit here and nitpick the property but overall we had a blast and they let us check in really early to be able to enjoy it with are family at no additional cost which not to many vrbos do

Our stay was fantastic. The property was everything we expected and more. Selby and Jennifer made the selves available for anything we needed, funny thing we needed nothingonce we arrived. Definitelycomingback???.nothing for our trip once we arived

It was 5 of us girls all going and we knew we needed a pool. The lake being in the backyard was just an added bonus to the beauty. Kitchen was by far the best place in the whole house. Just stunning.

Really frustrated with our stay. We encountered numerous issues from the moment we arrived, and solutions were limited. -Multiple Door Issues keeping us from locking the property. -Fridge: Never cooled below 63 degrees, forcing us to use a cooler and make trips for ice. The host delayed repair service until the second day and didn't show up. Fridge was never fixed. - Hot Tub: Unusable/disgusting due to poor water quality, despite claims of weekly servicing. Had to fix ourselves. - Kitchen Supplies: Filthy baking sheets and no starter supplies (soap, foil, wash clothes), requiring extra trips to the store. - Lighting: Comical number of burnt-out bulbs. Outdoor lights were non-functional. Only solution was pointing us to the location of the two spare bulbs. - Grill: All three propane cylinders were empty; hosts promised to replace them the next day. - Dock Condition: Dirty, coated with spider webs, hidden toy snakes, exposed light bulb sockets, exposed hooks and tangled lines across the deck. Overall, the property was cluttered and poorly maintained, with additional minor issues throughout our stay. On the last day, both my daughter and I developed eye infections, raising concerns about the property’s cleanliness. Despite our initial attempts to communicate, it became evident that the hosts would not provide proactive, meaningful solutions. The 5% discount and reimbursement for ice offered felt inadequate given the circumstances. Renters beware.

The outside was really great for the family. The family enjoyed fishing and being able to swim while watching the dock for fish. The outside fridge could be cleaned. The lower deck and pool had lots of shade during the day which made it great for the little ones. The main bathroom does have trouble flushing, might need to be replaced. The ice maker in the kitchen did not work, we appreciated that host left a bag of ice for us when we arrived. Grill outside was great, lots of grill tools were provided as well. There's a mosquito repellent that goes off periodically to try help with gnats and mosquito's. The bunk room fits many people but if you need to use the RR you have to go inside main house. Maybe add an Air Fryer, Blender and a Waffle maker at the facility. We really liked the open concept of the home and there were extra fans in the home to use as needed. There was a table full of sunscreen and sunburn supplies, lots and lots of beach towels were provided. Communication was good with host and responded quickly when we texted. We would definitely rent again.
