Casa Voltaire by Porter | Luxury Heated Pool in Scottsdale, AZ

We have booked with VRBO many times and this was our first negative experience. The pictures were deceiving, the interior of the house is much older than it appears in pictures. There was a hole in the ceiling, which now that I read through old reviews has been unknown issue and hasn’t been fixed. Overall, this house has a lot of deferred maintenance. The pillows were uncomfortable and the home had a musty old odor. The yard on the other hand was beautiful, so if you plan on staying outside and don’t really care about the interior then this would be a great home for you.

The house needs alot of updating the pictures are way nicer than the house.

Pool and bbq area were good, plenty of space. It would be nice to have had hand rails to make getting into the pool easier for people with lower mobility. A few items were missing from the kitchen (kettle for cups of tea, ironing board, clothes airer and scissors) overall a very pleasant stay and would stay again!

The marketing photos on VRBO made the property look very nice. In reality the house was dated, had a broken window taped up, broken blinds, dirty curtains. the kitchen was filked with old random utensils. There is a brand new oven and fridge. The pool was unusable because it was freezing and they wanted and extra 150 a day to heat it. They did do a nice job buying new beds and linen and a large tv. This place needs a complete remodel. the price charged per night was way out of line for a house in this shape.

The properties backyard is a vacation dream. The teenagers loved the pool, all the areas that they could take photos, was a great for outdoor dining.

An older home but very well maintained, very clean, and a great location! Would rent the same place again

Everything was as described. Check in was easy and the property was close enough to everything we wanted to do. The home in general was a little outdated and could probably use some renovating. But overall, good enough

It was a blast to stay at Casa Voltaire!

We cannot say enough about this property! I loved it! The house was huge, and very clean, the beds and pillows were comfortable, the bath towels were thick and soft, the pool was refreshing and water temperature was perfect, the location was very private and quiet. Relatively close to everything - it took us about 20 minutes to drive to most places we wanted to go to, which was fine. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Just a couple of small things - we had to buy some basics that other VRBO rentals have provided - e.g., foil, saran wrap, salt, pepper, coffee filters, and we were only there for 5 days - but we left them behind for the next guest. Next time I’d bring them with me. But they had paper towel, toilet paper, shampoo and body wash, so that was great! Air conditioning was great but it was super hot & the extra fans in the master bedroom closet that we tried to use, didn’t work. The pool area has a few broken tiles so we had to be careful not to step on them with bare feet, and there is no hand rail to hold on to getting in and out of the pool, so for an overweight, very arthritic elderly person like me, it was extremely difficult getting in and out of the pool. I had to have someone help me in and out each time. I hope they’d consider putting a hand rail at the top of the cement steps to assist people getting in and out. The steps are deep and I needed help. All that being said - I still loved the property and would definitely return in a heartbeat!

The house is as shown. Plenty of space for everyone. Kids had fun playing pool and in the pool. Great location. Only complaint was the oven. We tried to cook frozen pizza snd after 40 mins was cooked enough. Even tried broiler and that did not work well.

This place was great! Only some minor issues, the primary bathroom set up was not great, the vanity was open to the sleeping area so you could see and hear everything if one person was getting ready and the other was sleeping. All the beds have foots on them so if you're over 6'4 (like me) it was hard to fit in the bed without hitting your feet. The pool and outside area was great!
