Stayed Aug 1, 2017The house was exactly as described. Close to town, room for families, fully stocked kitchen and wifi worked great. Eli is the best! He will make your airport transfer a pleasurable drive. We also had surf lessons from Eli. He was very patient even though we are not surfer material. Katarina cooked a meal of steak and lobster for us that was great. I believe Rob has two of the nicest people in San Juan Del Sur taking care of his guests if you choose. The hill up to the house is quite steep but cabs are cheap. There were four of us so we rented a side by side for a couple of days to go to the beaches and explore town.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969When we were looking to book a place in SJDS we weren't sure where to start so we messaged a bunch of homeowners. Within minutes Rob responded & really made our decision easy. He suggested sites to see, places to eat, beaches, drivers etc...really helped plan our trip. We had Eli pick us up from the airport in Managua at night and the drive to town is interesting...I wouldn't recommend driving yourself if you are unfamiliar with the roads in Nicaragua. Eli was $120 for our group of 4 and he was friendly, on time, and had a bunch of great ideas for upcoming week stay! We were so excited to arrive at the house...although it was dark when we arrived we were blown away. The house is even more beautiful in person. Waking up the next day we had plans to hit the beach, but once we saw the pool we quickly changed our minds and fired up the blender! What a view!! We spent the rest of the week doing surf lessons, visiting the markets downtown, eating at some of the wide range of restaurants SJDS has to offer, zip lining, and doing a volcano hike! The house seriously has it all and then some. Oh, I almost forgot that we took Rob's advice and hired his cook Katalina for a couple of dinners...if you stay here make sure to hire Katalina! Steak and lobster one night, and swordfish the next!! Wow...that's all I can say. I wanted to bring her back home with me!! Thanks Rob, Eli, and Katalina for everything. Can't wait to return to this dreamy oasis!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Great location, great property, and great owner. Three of us rented the house for a week there is easily room for 8. The house has everything you need and is spotlessly clean and new. The location and view from the house is great. The house is up a hill about a 5 minute walk from the centre of town and is in a very secure safe location. The house is very peaceful as it is set up on the hill in the forest it has a patio and a couple of hammocks to lounge in. A stellar view of SJDS bay from the house and also the pool which is located just above the house which is very private great for cooling down and having a couple of drinks in the afternoon. On the recommendation of Rob the owner we also hired Katalina to cook breakfast every morning for us and she also prepared two dinners for us (Steak and lobster and Mahi mahi with all the fixings) she is a fantastic chef and would highly recommend hiring her for your stay. She is very friendly and helpful and is also great if you want to practice your Spanish - she was very patient with me!. Rob also put us in touch with Eli a local that took us surfing and gave us surf lessons. We went out with him for two days at Playa Remanso and had a blast surfed -or tried to surf.....and had a good time hanging out on the beach. We also hired him for transport back and forth to Granada . He got us around safely and we also got to get know him and he got the local perspective from him he is fluent in english. I would highly recommend him for transport /surfing or if you need to do anything else during your stay.A real honest and genuine guy and really fun just to hang out with. Great place to stay and Rob the owner is very responsive and very helpful with making sure you will have a great time. Would definitely stay here again!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a great time at Casa Suenos. I went down to visit San Juan del Sur with four other guys and the house was exactly what we were looking for. Plenty of beds, full kitchen, great infinity pool with a view, and just far enough outside of town to feel private enough. Walking distance to town was great - took five minutes to get to the Cerveceria (great spot in town, if you make it down here you need to check this spot out). Five stars and would recommend to anyone looking to find a nice affordable house to stay for a week or more!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Went for a yearly trip with two of my friends to San Juan del Sur. We could not have had a better time. All of the people we met were amazing, and the house was beautiful (way too big for 3 people). The infinity pool has a great view, and the hammocks got a lot of use. The only thing I might change would be to put steps up to the pool as the steep path could be a little slippery if you are as uncoordinated as I am. Catalina is the chef that the owner recommended for us, and she was fantastic. She always went the extra mile whenever we needed anything. Don't let her fool you, she speaks English pretty well! Jess who lives in the casita near the house was also really helpful and fun. I highly reccomend Casa Suenos, and would stay there again if I ever come back.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had such a memorable two weeks at Casa Suenos, I already miss it! Everything we dreamed of and more. Rob the owner was so kind and helpful giving us updates and suggestions to what we should do during our stay. The Casa had a friendly security guard out front so we never felt unsafe. We left most of our valuables out and none of us encountered any problems. It is walking distance from down town, but very cheap cab ride anywhere. Rob helped us arrange a personal driver, Eli. He drove few of us to and from the Managua airport. The house was fully equipped and we enjoyed using the brand new BBQ. We really enjoyed cooking at the house, but I highly recommend Catalina's cooking. She is the sweetest and the cutest (ask her to make Mango Chicken! That was my favourite!). The rooms were spacious and comfortable with AC and fans. The communal space was ample and we really loved all the surf/snowboard dvds that were left for the house. The infinity pool was such a luxury! Gorgeous scenery and sunset! Pool was kept tidy every day and we enjoyed having drinks by the poolside with our neighbours. If you are looking for a great time with your friends or family, Casa Suenos certainly fits all the criteria for an amazing vacation!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This was definitely the best place to escape the cold winter in Germany for a while. Watched the most amazing sunsets from the pool looking at the bay of San Juan del Sur. The house is in a very safe area and my girlfriends and I loved hanging out there. It's pretty big and nice to have dinner with friends there. That will for sure not be the last time I'll go there. Also the owners were very helpful, suggesting us where to go out and how to get around in the area. Thanks for everything! Anastasia Kunze

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Just got back from a nine day stay in SJDS. Had an amazing time. The house is gorgeous and well kept. All rooms have A/C and fans. Highly recommend Catalina. Her cooking is amazing and there is nothing better than waking up to a fresh hot breakfast! Pool is gorgeous with stunning views. Although it's a shared pool and the couple next door was there at the same time we only saw them once at the pool in 9 days. We had no problem with anything going missing. Most of us left our laptops and iPhones out all day although there is a lockbox in the master bedroom if you felt you needed it. We slept 8 comfortably. It's quiet with not a lot of traffic. Never felt unsafe. Town is walking distance although it is quite a climb back up! There are cabs available if you needed them as well. Was also so nice to come home after a day exploring to Catalina's delicious dinners! Highly recommend this property!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Casa Suenos surpassed all my expectations! The view from the house is absolutely stunning with the town and ocean below. The view is even more breathtaking from the infinity pool at night when the entire town is lit up! The house is extremely clean and private with beautiful wood furnishings. The washrooms are also spotless with giant shower stalls (including rainfall shower heads!). The size of the house was great for accommodating our large group but I think it would be great for couples as well. I stayed in the loft which had plenty of privacy and was cooled by either fans or air conditioning. The property is located close enough to walk to the bars yet far enough away to not hear them (if you want to have a quiet evening). It's perfect for enjoying the best of both worlds! Catalina, our housekeeper and chef, had the biggest heart and cooked the most wonderful meals. She is highly recommended. I want to live there forever!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This property is beyond amazing. It has all the luxuries of a family friendly home in a nice location close to the beach and an amazing infinity pool. The cook Rob hired named Catalina was amazing. Her meals were one of the highlights of our trip. The views of the bay are even more spectacular than the pictures, and the rest of the home was exactly as pictured (except for a few paintings on the walls). The property manager Harry was very kind and accommodating. I would definitely recommend Casa Suenos to a friend or relative.
