Casa Otonyo - natural stone finca with private pool between Sineu and Ariany

My family and I have just returned from an 8 day stay at the finca and we had a brilliant time. The villa is very well equipped and nicely decorated throughout. The pool and outside area is amazing, plenty of space and the pool was cleaned mid-way through our stay. The owner and property manager were available on WhatsApp and the check in process was really easy. A car is necessary given it’s remote location and you do need the coordinates to be able to locate it on sat nav. Şineu is a short distance away and has a great market on a Wednesday and a good choice of restaurants. Manacor has some big supermarkets which is about 15 mins in the car. We were a little surprised that there was not a freezer or air conditioning, particularly when we landed during the heatwave but the villa is run on solar energy so it’s understandable that these would drain too much power. There are fans in all the bedrooms to keep you cool at night and an ice machine. A few days before we arrived, the owner asked if we could feed some wild cats during our stay, they do not enter the villa but they do visit every day for their feed.

We are a family of five, our children are aged 12, 10 and 6. We found the accommodation to be perfect in every way. The finca is modern but sympathetic to traditional design and well furnished with lovely touches and modern fixtures and fittings. The three bedrooms and three bathrooms give a sense of space and the salt water pool was perfect for days spent relaxing. The accommodation is very private and in a great location being less than 30 minutes from the nearest beach and less then 45 minutes from most major spots in all directions (you’ll need to have your own transport if staying here). It’s less than a 10 minute drive to the nearest town of Sineu, which has many great places to eat and get supplies, along with a amazing market once a week. Christine (the owner) was also an amazing host. Although we never met she was very good with communication and very accommodating with any request. We were even welcomed with a hamper of local delights including homemade peach jam and local wine. We’ve stayed in many places and we loved this finca very much. I can definitely highly recommend it!
