Tucson, Arizona
Casa Flamenco is a newly-built 900 square foot detached two-story guest house set in the foothills of the Santa Catalina mountains. Our place is in a cul-de-sac so it is very quiet. It is decorated with quality furniture and unique artwork that reflects a southwestern flair. It has two outdoor spaces, one which overlooks an arroyo and the other, the Santa Catalina mountains. We are also close to La Paloma and Hacienda del sol resorts, convenient if you are attending an event.
The space
This space was built with a lot of love so has a very relaxing atmosphere about it. We wanted it to have a feel of a Mexico escape. We have a recently added on downstairs bedroom. This is great for those that use the downstairs bathroom at night.
Guest access
The guesthouse and its adjacent space.
Other things to note
We are very centrally located, close to La Encatada shopping center, Sabine canyon and many great restaurants.
The property is on a very quiet cul de sac with city and mountain views. Georgia and Howard have lovingly created an oasis of calm and serenity, with an abundance of art treasures through the casita and gardens of this gem of a casita!
A lovely place with comfortable and clean lodgings. Lots of love and detail in the home, the art, and beautiful space. Best sheets I've ever had at a lodging! Very nice that it is dog-friendly as well since we had a canine companion with us. Some hiccups with check-in but the host was responsive and got it figured out. Some awkward interaction with the host's husband, who was kind, but as quite private/ shy people we felt it was a bit too invasive when paying for our own space, not a house-share, to feel like it was hard to get away from forced interaction with him, but I bet that depends on if you happen to see them or not. Would have loved more instructions/ notes up front for check in, as I had to reach out to the host myself for information, and then received check-out tasks (take out garbage, etc) vi message after we'd already left in the AM. Recommend putting this info in the lodging for guest ease. Lovely space and kind people.
My brother sent us the listing for Casa Flamenco as a place to stay for our Christmas visit. It was close to everywhere we needed to be. The place was so cozy and beautifully decorated. We loved it. My only recommendation is padding for the upstairs bed as it is very hard. I would definitely stay here again.
We had such a great time at Casa Flamenco! We visited for a long weekend to see the 4th Avenue art fair and it was lovely to be staying at a place that was so artful itself. I appreciated the small details and Frida Kahlo motifs throughout. Parking was clearly marked and the neighborhood was wonderfully quiet. The hosts were lovely and responsive to any questions.
The interior and exterior decorating is colorful, interesting and blends beautifully with the natural landscape. Very quiet, private and peaceful.
The property was clean and decorated nicely. Not too far from where I grew up, so it was nice to see the mountains again.
The amount of love, attention to detail, and thoughtfulness that this place was constructed with made it a beautiful experience. Georgia is so quick with communication and accommodating. Harold gave us a run down of all the unique plants and wildlife that Arizona offers. Our experience here is the reason you do air b and bs over hotels. The art is stunning and so unique. The home is safe, immersed in the wildlife, secluded and private.
This property is a gem. A quiet peaceful oasis. The art and decor are so wonderful. We enjoyed our morning bird watching on the deck and the patio. We liked it so much see changed our plans and stayed here an extra weekend!
We spent two enjoyable weeks in this comfortable casita. Very quiet neighborhood. Very comfortable beds. Lots of great cactus on the property. Kitchen well stocked. Down side, no ice maker in the small refrigerator, limiting take out picnic lunches. Thanks for the use.
This casita in the Catalina foothills is stunning. Georgia’s photos capture the SW style and all the lovely details of this casita. There are two gorgeous bedrooms, one on the main floor and the second bedroom is reached by climbing a beautiful spiral staircase. There is no stove or range top for cooking but there is a toaster oven, microwave and instapot! There is a BBQ on the back patio and a nice sitting area out front. We absolutely loved staying here and highly recommend
Georgia's guest house was absolutely adorable and in a great location. Comfy beds, great views, and gorgeous interior design. She and her husband were very responsive and accommodating. Would recommend.
My husband and I spent two weeks in this lovely casita in the Catalina Foothills. Part of our enjoyment of our time in Tucson was living in this beautifully designed and decorated space. It had everything we needed, and Georgia and Howard were quick to respond to requests or questions. I would recommend this space to anyone with an appreciation for the artistry of the Southwest including the surrounding beauty of the Sonoran desert. It's a gem!
Well maintained, unique decor, would be pleased to stay here again.
Casa Flamenco was exactly as described. It has lovely unique art work throughout and is decorated with a very Southwest flare. It was very clean, had everything we needed, except no freezer in the small refrigerator. That's the only thing we were missing. Centrally located to many places of interest and grocery stores. It was a wonderful stay. Thank you Georgia,
I rented Casa Flamenco for my 2 granddaughters when they came to Tucson for a visit with us and their mother. We have downsized recently and don't have the space to accommodate them. Perfect location and the artwork was lovely, capturing the feel of Tucson's Spanish heritage.
This beautiful guest house nestled in the desert foothills is a gem. The location is lovely and serene, and the house itself a warm, artistic sanctuary. We really appreciated all the details in the home and loved staying here. Many thanks to the host - we hope to return!
Casa Flamenco was as described and more. Beautiful property to relax and celebrate the holiday season. Hosts were very responsive and personable. We will be staying here again in the near future!
The guesthouse is in a perfect location to everything in Tucson; it it uniquely built and uniquely furnished, a Tucson experience in and of itself; owners were attentive to everything and we enjoyed our conversations with Howard.
This property is is beautiful! The inside is decorated with wonderful Mexican art and interesting furnishings. It’s very quiet and private. I didn’t see or hear anything but the wind and the birds. The hosts were extremely accommodating
