Our family (4 adults) stayed 4 nights through Thanksgiving. The house was very nice and had all the amenities we needed. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to cook Thanksgiving dinner. The house is very close to restaurants and shops in Black Mountain and also a 15-20 minute drive into Asheville. Would definitely stay again.
The home is beautiful, clean, and everything looked pretty new. It sits on a hillside so there is also a nice view from the deck. Everything is stocked with whatever you need to prepare a meal or for grilling. We didn’t watch TV so I can’t speak about the programming. It’s located close to restaurants and the downtown area. That being said, I would have preferred a more private area for such a lovely home, but proximity also has its advantages. The neighbor below had a barking dog that was annoying at times, so that was our biggest complaint. It’s a well thought out, comfortable home and we would stay there again. It’s a wonderful, picturesque area to visit for hiking, and recreation. The fall foliage was beautiful, especially in Chimney Rock State Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The bars and restaurants offered a chance to enjoy the mountain experience with outdoor seating to enhance the local flavors. Asheville was a day trip we enjoyed visiting and also Lake Lure for lunch. We would like to visit the area again when the mountains are covered in blooms from all the huge Rhododendrons, trees and wild flowers.
Had a great time. The house was as described. Very clean and perfect location
Pictures with the property was misleading. Pics showed Mountain views and 3 falls. The only mountain view was in the middle of the driveway. I don’t know where the 3 falls were. With the view of the mountain pics I felt like it would be in the mountains. The only elevation was from the city street up the driveway.
This listing was exactly as the pictures presented. Pristinely clean and a perfect home for our family of 5. Would definitely stay again.
We had a great time with my niece (23), sister-in-law (52), mother (90) and myself 52. We were celebrating my retirement and mom's 90th birthday. I have been going to Asheville for years, this was my first stay in Black Mountain. We will be returning for sure. We had quick easy access to hikes at Montreat and around Black Mountain. We found amazing food to eat each and every day. One of our favorite surprises was Taps being played at a local camp each night. It was nice to sit on the deck, watch the evening sky transition and hear the sounds of Taps carry through the mountain. Great spot, would love to return in the fall.
My friends and I enjoyed this lovely home so much. We'll stay there again!
This property was conveniently located to all the areas we wanted to explore. Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. It was a great stay.
The house is beautiful and almost brand new. Still smells like fresh wood when you walk inside. The only thing I would add would be to provide more detailed directions for the smart thermostat and to swap out some of the electrical plug outlets for USB ports. Currently no USB ports anywhere in the house so bring adaptors. Perfect location. 15 minute drive to Asheville and for entrance and visitors center for the Blue Ridge Parkway. Well stocked with kitchen appliances and cookware. Ample size bedrooms and huge closets. This place is far superior to the other offerings in Black Mountain. I plan on coming back here and booking the same property.
Beautiful property. We enjoyed our stay. Very well furnished and well equipped. Wish it was at a higher elevation.
This was so beautiful! It had great views from the porch. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was well thought out. We enjoyed hiking trails 5 minutes away and walking 15 mins along the creek into town. It was a great place for kids too. We are already thinking about when to stay here again!
We were there for the week after Christmas and were so pleased with the Christmas decorations in the house. So nice. The house was very clean and well supplied. I would suggest a garlic press and a rolling pin would be a good addition. The area was quiet but close to town. We loved it.
enjoyed our stay
Went with the family to Black Mountain to see the fall foliage. The house was beautiful. It looked practically new. It was very clean and had pretty much everything we needed. It was well thought out. The Master was spacious and we loved the walk-in shower. We had a small ant problem but it wasn't anything the all natural bug killer that was in the pantry couldn't handle. Check in was easy. The fake fireplace was neat. It was kinda like an aquarium that projected flames on the rear of the fireplace. It also gave off electric heat. The house location was great. Probably a mile and a half to downtown. Had a great time and I definitely would stay there again if we go back to Black Mountain.
This property had everything thoughtfully arranged and available for guests. Not to mention it’s gorgeous and in a convenient location near the highway and the town of Black Mountain.
This property was wonderful! Very clean & well stocked!
Location, residence, amenities … this place has it all!!! Completely ready for guests, just drop your bag and enjoy! Comfortable beds, luxurious baths, perfect location! Close to town and the road (no going up a steep mountain) but feels like you are secluded. Fabulous family vacation rental. Nicely appointed with anything you can think of. Just bring your food and nothing else needed. The property managers made our stay so wonderful. I can’t say enough about this house.
We loved the house in Black Mountain! It was so beautiful and clean. The master bath was awesome. The home was fully stocked. The only down fall was the neighbors dog was outside a lot; even in the middle of the night. But even with the dog, the place was amazing.
This well-appointed home has everything you could need for a stay in Black Mountain. From the furnishings to the well-stocked kitchen to the inviting deck it has it all. Easy access to Black Mountain, Asheville and Blue Ridge Parkway. Don’t think twice, just book it!
Seamless!
The house is beautiful. very close to high way. It was well decorated with all the amenities. The check in process and checkout was easy. The only thing is just as we were leaving for the trip they called and left us a message stating that the dishwasher was not working and had to be repaired and would give us $75 refund for the inconvenience. I have still not seen the refund. i have contacted the cottonwood property people a couple times by email.
We had an amazing time at this property! Very clean and had all the necessities. This home is great if you are looking for a “mountain experience” without having to drive deep into the mountains. Minutes away from great downtown area and restaurants. Really enjoyed our stay!
Wonderful accommodations with a view of the mountains. Conveniently located to “downtown” Black Mountain and trails.
