My younger brother and I had an outstanding stay at this VRBO in Nags Head earlier this month and I couldn’t have asked for a better Outer Banks experience. The home was exactly as advertised—clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with everything our group needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay.The location was ideal—easy beach access, and close to great local restaurants, grocery, and shops. Mornings with coffee on the back deck and evenings enjoying the coastal breeze were definite highlights.Inside, the layout worked perfectly for us, offering plenty of space to spread out while still feeling connected. Everything—from the furnishings to the linens—felt fresh and high quality.Overall, this was a fantastic stay in Nags Head. We would absolutely return and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing, getaway in the Outer Banks.

My kids loved the turtle pond! There was a step stool, high chair, booster seat, and pack n play. It was clean and close to everything. There were sand toys to use at the beach and pancake mix in the pantry so we were able to eat before we even went to the grocery store. We really enjoyed our time at the house.

House was very well apportioned and was just as described. It was very clean and comfortable and very centrally located. It had all the things we needed there and the host was amazing! Always making sure we had what we needed and provided wonderful restaurant choices. Jeanne was very, very accommodating and so very nice. Would definitely stay there again!

This place was perfect from before we got there, through our stay and beyond. Everything was as promised. For us, the real treat and surprise was the simple things: beach chair, bbq grill, turtles in the overlooking pond, under home car port, dvd player, and great shower pressure. Really, the place was amazing and a steal of a price. Will be staying again! Thank you Jeanne.

Carolina Cottage was perfect!! It is exactly as described and Jeanne is the perfect host. She responded to our questions immediately and like a friend. It is in the perfect location to everything. The private beach access was the best, and easy to get to. I would recommend to anyone going to the Outer Banks. We will definitely be back!!

We stayed here over a holiday weekend that I ended up having emergency surgery BUT there were 2 excellent recliners that were perfect & comfortable for me to be in. Who would have expected that! She also provided pump hand soap! I alway have to go buy hand soap my first day of vacay so that was a nice touch. It was the perfect place for our family of 4. I would definitely recommend & we would stay here again.

This is a very nice place. Plenty of riom for 4 people. The pool and beach parking was a big plus. The veiw out backnis great. The turtles were very food to see.

This house was one of the best we have ever stayed at. Jeanne, the host, provided everything that you could need for a week at the beach. But the one thing you never knew you needed…turtles! Feeding the turtles was one of the best experiences we had all week. We went out with a mix of cantaloupe, watermelon and kale chopped up in small bites and they came from all over the pond for a snack. We could not wait to feed them every day. The house is beautiful but you must go out back and feed the turtles if you stay here.

Very nice stay for a week. Great communication with owner. House is very clean. Location within an easy walk or bike ride to a plaza with a Food Lion, Market Express, Duck Bonut, Dollar General etc. Can walk or bike ride to pool and beach access but must cross four lane highway which has a traffic light and crosswalk at both intersections. Beds comfortable. Just a reminder, if you have small children that might have an accident, only one set of sheets for each bed…may be good idea to bring another set. Enjoyed mornings and later evenings on back top deck overlooking the pond and 13th hole. Our grandchildren enjoyed feeding the turtles in the pond. Beach toys and chairs available for use. Charcoal grill was used a couple times. Very quiet for sleeping. Used the primary bedroom walk in closet for our grandson. Pack and play fit perfectly. Kitchen, although small, has everything needed to cook meals. We played some of the games provided. Complex good for bike riding with younger children….ages 4-7.

We are a family of four and this house fit perfect for us. The house was very clean and the best stocked house I have stayed in at the Outer Banks. The owner is wonderful very prompt with any questions and helped us feel right at home. My children enjoyed the turtles in the pond. They checked on them daily and even gave a few of them names. Gorgeous sunsets and the sound side park within walking distance is wonderful. We enjoyed the included passes to the village beach club. Very convenient location, grocery store and shops in walking distance.Overall our stay was amazing and I would absolutely stay at Carolina Cottage again!Thank you for all the memories!

Beautiful location on a quiet pond with gorgeous sunset views on back porch every evening. 3 levels: master bed/bath on bottom with closet big enough for 2-3 pack and plays if you need (our one year old slept here). Bedroom 2 (queen) and bedroom 3 (2 twins) on middle split level with bathroom. Family/dining/kitchen on third level with sliding door and deck overlooking the pond. Beach toys/chairs in garage closet, towels, linens, kitchen fully stocked w/ pots, pans and everything we needed to cook for 6 people. My 3 year old loved feeding the friendly turtles every day (there were literally 15). Location was a quarter mile drive (across highway) to the private ocean beach location included with the stay. Great spot. Upon arrival we did have to sweep/mop because of a mishap with the owners housekeeper, but the owner was very responsive and apologetic and clearly from other reviews this is not the norm and was outside of her control. Coffee pot was also broken but thankfully we brought keurig pods; though we would recommend upgrading to an actual keurig for a better quality brew; interesting aftertaste…just a note :) Overall enjoyable stay!

We visited the OBX to cemebrate our 15th wedding anniversary as we were married on the beach at Kitty Hawk Pier. We traveled with another couple who live in VA Beach. My husband commented several times how perfect the place was. We especially enjoyed watching all the turtles in the pond (we counted about 15!) And star gazing at night. We walked part of the golf trail and found the bayside pier area which is fantastic. Great communication from the host and we also loved the reading exchange library!

The cottage check in process was very easy. The location is beautiful, overlooking an artificial pond at the golf course. The living space was well organized and was exactly what we were looking for. Will definitely be looking at this location for our next trip back!

Really enjoyed our stay the home was beautiful

This home has been our base camp as we prepare for our daughter's wedding this fall. It feels like a second home for our visits.Always clean upon arrival and everything has always been in working order. It is convenient to all the local venues and perfect size for our family of 5.Really enjoyed the lake side view each morning and Jeannes friendly emails checking in our visit is a great touch.This home has been a lifesaver as we progress in our wedding plans. Knowing we have a great home for our visits to Nags Head allows us to focus on our wedding plans.

The house was perfect! The views, the fun layout, activities and games to play during down times and the location right next to the grocery store was very helpful. We were right next to EVERYTHING but still felt like we were on our own little private vacation on a pond and golf course. We still managed to do all the tourist activities we had scheduled and still loved hanging out in the house playing card games, watching TV, eating leftovers, and watching nature from the balcony. The whole check in and check out process was super easy and we were extremely grateful the owner had some beach chairs we could borrow. Definitely staying here again when we come back!

We had the best family time together at the OBX. This house we stayed in was amazing and located where you could go shop or beach without any hassle. I truly appreciate the owner of this house and the ease of renting it.

The property was in great condition, very clean and has a nice homely feeling! Our kids ended up sleeping in the same room so we did not use all the bedrooms but they were all really cozy. All the equipment worked great. We made good use of the beach gear that is available when renting the property.Instructions were clear and the check in and check out process seamless! The house is ideally located to visit the Outer Banks and there are lots of restaurants and grocery shops just minutes away. On top of the property itself, Jeanne, our host, was very responsive before and during our stay and provided great tips on things to do. We highly recommend the Beach House and hope to come back soon ourselves!

We had a great time! The location is central to Nags Head, so everything is close by. The house was well furnished with everything we needed. We enjoyed our weekend getaway.

We were delighted by our first impressions of Carolina Cottage and our subsequent stay. Welcoming, fresh, comfortable and great presentation with wide balconies overlooking a small lake with wildlife. Everything was to high standards. We had all we needed. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and well lit. Thank you from all of us!

Traveled to OBX for spring break. Still a little early to enjoy all that the Outer Banks has to offer, but this location was perfect.

Great property and location.

This is our second stay in as many months and coming back to the cottage almost feel like a second home now. The house is clean, stocked with all the basic suppliers. Planning for a wedding can be stressful. But knowing that we have a great little cottage in Nags Head for our base camp makes these trips almost fun.Great location close to all the event sites we need to visit and very comfortable furniture to help unwind at the end of the day.

Had another amazing weekend at the Carolina Cottage. The Owner is wonderful to work with. 5 star rating all the way around.

This 3-bedroom beach house met our every need. My daughter used the pack and play and the booster seat. We loved the comfortable sofa and chairs. We were in Nags Head for a wedding. The location was great for wedding events— close to Jennette’s Pier, and the Pavilion at Pirate’s Cove. And we all loved the view of the large pond and the turtles!

We recommend. Go turtles.

This property was nice clean and convenient to everything the beach access was awesome and my granddaughter left behind a shadow box and they are going tonship ut ti us very helpful and caring will definitely be staying again
