Captain's Landing - Hammock Village 21

I cannot say enough good things about this property. Check in was at Pirate’s Cove Realty- just to the right of the gate. They do close at 5:30 pm, but you can check in later if needed. The carpet in the pictures has been replaced with solid flooring which was fantastic. The only carpet was the stair runners. The owners have just replaced a substantial portion of the decking with treated lumber. This place was fantastic for our weim and four teenaged children. I had trouble locking a door and property manager called first thing the next am and sent someone to fix right away. FYI The door handle has to be lifted to lock the deadbolt. Again this place is a 10 out of 10. I promise you will be pleased. It appears the owners take great care of this beautiful property.

This was the perfect house for our family!!Not only was it perfect with bedrooms, the kitchen, the elevator, the downstairs refrigerator, plenty of dining area - the view was awesome!

Very nice location. Bedrooms were large and plenty of bathrooms. The addition of the elevator was a life saver with the master suite and main living area and kitchen being on the third floor.

We brought 2 boats since there was docking for them in front of the house. No one ever told us the trailers couldn’t stay on the property even after we registered them when checking in. Over night someone put a bright yellow notice on both saying it’s a violation to keep trailer there & fine coming if not moved - we then had to pay $170 to store them both somewhere that we had to find on our own. This should have been communicated beforehand.

The pictures really do not do this place justice. The house is new, clean, spacious, and very well laid out. Perfect for a large group or multiple families. There are porches all around the home, beautiful views abound. But the best was the view over the marsh from the upper porch, just gorgeous and so peaceful. The community is really lovely, colorful flowers everywhere, we enjoyed walking the dog either along the quiet streets or on the marsh boardwalks. The house is very well located for access to all the variety that the Outer Banks has to offer - a quick drive to The Lost Colony, Elizabethan Gardens, Island Farm, and picturesque downtown Manteo. It’s equally close to the beaches in Nags Head, Jeanette’s Pier, Jockey’s Ridge, the Wright Brothers National Memorial, and the Bodie Island Lighthouse. A visit to Cape Hatteras is farther away but absolutely worth the long drive on the beautiful Highway 12 Scenic Byway. We got our groceries by ordering online and picking them up curbside at Fresh Market, only 15 minutes away and super easy. We highly recommend this home in Pirate’s Cove!
