Capitol House - Historic 5bed/3bath house near OUHSC,State Capitol and Downtown

The location was great. Safe neighborhood. Very clean. We would stay again, no doubt.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful historic home conveniently located near our activities (indoor water park, children’s museum, etc.). Great amenities with well stocked kitchen. One minor issue-some mattresses are so soft they sag in the middle. Otherwise a great home that comfortably accommodated 8 adults and 4 children-had a great time and would definitely return!

House is dated which was cool. Creaky doors/floors may be an issue for some but didn't bother us due to age of the home and the attempt to preserve that. Main house is 4 bed, 2 bath, 1 ensuite 2nd bath shared. for entire household. 3rd bath is in the apt sitting on top of the garage across the backyard making it a 5 bedroom. It's a cool old house renovated. We didn't find the upstairs loft to be usable due to the stairway being so steep and doorway so short. Trash from past renters still in cans on side of the house which would have been nice not to deal with. The door handle to the main bath was not working properly and a few got stuck in the bath and required someone in the house to let them out. It was reported to host and they responded quickly with a resolution to send maintenance out immediately which we declined as we figured out how to make it work for the remainder of our stay. But I would make sure this is repaired properly beforehand. Neighborhood had lots of kids running around playing which was nice to see. This house is the only house in the neighborhood that I noticed did not have a Concrete driveway, it was a dirt driveway leading to the garage which sits behind the house. Water pressure was really good. Does not have a finished basement prepared to house folks during an emergency which we found out when the Hurricane Siren Test went off which happens every Sat. Host was attentive and polite.

Everything was great except we had a hard time working the main TV. We had to sign into our personal accounts to use it. One mattress was a little saggy in the middle. Otherwise, everything was good and as advertised.

We needed a place to stay while our home went through some repairs and while our oldest son receives treatment at Oklahoma City Children's Hospital for a rare cancer. This place was close, clean and affordable for our entire family!

We have 8 children and 8 adults, plenty of room! Beds are all amazing. Kiddos played in babb CB k yard a lot. Perfect for family time, games watching a few movies!!! Definitely recommend 10/10

We were in OKC for a family reunion. Twelve of us stayed here. We were very comfortable with the space. We had an A/C problem that was resolved expeditiously.The central location is great.

Property is a great house located in a good neighborhood with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms.

Interesting old (c. 1937) house in OKC, a block from the governor's mansion and walking distance from the capitol. Outside could use a little TLC but the inside was fine. Location is very convenient to the capitol and the Oklahoma History museum, both worth a visit, and short drives to other attractions. Unfortunately the governor's mansion was closed during our visit. Large fenced in yard which was great for our dog and grandkids, also had the ability to park a few cars in the garage, an unusual perk for a vacation rental. Property manager was helpful and responded quickly to a trash can issue. Only complaint, no fault of the property, was the stupid wind turbine by the governor's mansion. No problem under normal conditions, but two of the three nights we had gale force winds that caused the turbine to make an ungodly amount of noise and vibration. Woke me up several times thinking I was on the edge of an active helicopter landing pad. Otherwise we had a great visit in OKC.

This property was great for our family. The bedroom not pictured is great for a larger group! Everything was clean and host responded fast!

Overall great stay - location is great, safe neighborhood right by the Capitol building and not too far from the freeway Did ask for additional pictures of beds as we had a very large group and needed to make sure everyone would fit appropriately - host was communicative and helpful with all my questions - clearer instructions might have mitigated the need for additional questions Beds were comfy, AC worked great in the hot OK summer - it is well renovated but is an older home so just keep that in mind Added a pet last minute which they were also helpful with! Would def stay here again for larger groups in the OKC and surrounding area

This was the perfect house for our families to gather while in town for the USA Softball All American games! Beautiful, spacious and unique. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Great house and location

Home had so much character. Beautiful hardwood floors. It was easy to get to and from on the weekend. Don't know what it's like on weekdays. It was perfect for our family with in-laws situation.

My sisters and I traveled down to OKC for a quick get away. This was the perfect house for us. We enjoyed breakfast and evening dinners together each day. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Thank you!

Thirteen of us stayed here for 4 days. We had a blast. The backyard is surrounded by a privacy fence, so the 13 month old could venture with no worries. Property management responded quickly and house was very comfortable and clean. Beds are great.

Stayed here for four nights to attend College Softball World Series. House is exactly as shown. Very spacious with garage. Easy to get anywhere we wanted and we were within a 15 minute drive to pretty much anywhere. Owner was easy to reach and responsive when we checked in and checked out. Large fully fenced in backyard to exercise the dog was a huge plus. Would absolutely stay here again if in OKC.

Our family enjoyed the property but we were disappointed that the admission tickets to the Western Heritage Museum were not provided as promised. We were disappointed. Location and neighborhood was a plus !

The only negative is the beds. They are tired. Especially the one in the apartment. Also a night stand on either side of the beds would be nice. You had extra toliet paper but no extra paper towels were availably.
