Stayed Jul 20, 2019Our experience was not typical b/c ,for three days after our arrival, we faced a period of intense heat; a tornado directly hit Harwich; a tree fell on our rental car and buried it;, and we (and much of Harwich) had no electricity for about 40 hours. Lisa, the owner, was fantastic throughout and an excellent host and moved mountains to get the tree cleared. She stayed in touch with us constantly during this difficult time to be on a vacation. We greatly appreciated, and respected, her attentiveness. Three caveats to be aware of. which may not be of importance to you. First, the stairs to the upstairs two bedrooms and bath are quite steep and getting large suitcases up them is not an easy task. We kept ours in the living room. and ferried clothes up to the dressers in the bedroom. Second, at least as of now, the downstairs bedroom has no a/c, and was exceptionally hot even with the provided strong fan during the not typical hot streak we encountered during the days before the tornado and then for the two nights we hae no electricity. I doubt that this would be a problem during most of the more typical Cape Cod summer. Finally, the washer and dryer are in the basement. Overall, and notwithstanding the above, the house is charming in style and furnishings (apart from the steep stairs....) and is quite comfortable., the extras in the house and in the garage and yard are there for you to use, and, perhaps most important, your host is charming and was readily available to us by text, email, and phone, and was committed to making our stay as perfect as it could be during a very trying time . The house is much better equipped than most of the rentals we have had through VRBO or their competitors. The kitchen is well stocked with good cooking pots, pans, and appliances, and has the full array of utensils that most people have at home but are seldom in a house available for rent. Plus, there is an outside BBQ and hammack on the patio and good lawn furniture. All in all, this is a house worth considering to rent, though I suggest you perhaps avoid tornado season....

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Our stay was everything we expected and more! The location in Harwich is minutes to the beach, shopping, browsing, and restaurants. The house is a beautiful, comfortable and relaxing place to stay. Our family hated to leave when our week was up. We felt at home and hope to return someday.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We spent the week at the house as our home base and enjoyed it incredibly. Plenty of room, plenty of amenities, and conveniently located! The outdoor shower was pure magic! Perfect for two families with small children or an older couple looking to escape. Out of the crowds near the beach, but yet a short drive to many great beaches (we found Chapin this year and are HOOKED). We are looking forward to renting again next season!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969A few friends and I rented the house and had a great time! The house was very clean, nicely decorated and a reasonable price for mid- august on the cape. I would recommend this house for a group of friends or family. The house is located close by to the cape cod rail trail which was nice and also not far from route 28. Had a great time!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This house & location perfect. Quiet setting on deadend street & centrally located on the Cape. The house is all that is described & more. Immaculate. Well equiped including kitchen, cable TV & WiFi. Close to excellent town beaches, a fine variety of excellent restaurants, the ferry to Nantucket & minutes away from the famous Nauset Beach. Minutes to great shopping in Harwich Port, Hyannis, Chatham & Orleans. Everything you could ask for in a Cape Cod vacation. The outside shower was a blast. My favorite was relaxing in the morning on the deck with a cup of coffee observing the local rabbit & the daily parade of wild turkeys down the street. This house is close to everything; beaches, bike & walking paths, restaurants, shopping, fun activities & the Chatham Fish Market. The owner was very cooperative, courteous & very friendly. I would recommend this house to anyone including families.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This was our first home rental since being disappointed with another rental that fell through two years ago. This is a perfect house for a family with children of any age. It is located on a quiet street with very little traffic. The house is spacious and nicely decorated. It has all the comforts of home and then some. We found it to be within a easy driving distance to the local beaches. Local restaurants were fun although there is a bit of a wait. I plan on coming back again next year and have passed this rental on to other family members. Well done to the owner!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My family and I had an absolutely wonderful vacation in beautiful Cape Cod largely due to our accommodations. Spending the week in this home was comfortable, relaxing, and central to all that Harwich and the Cape have to offer. The home is impeccably maintained and offers many comfortable amenities; air conditioning in the upstairs bedrooms, a hammock to rest in, and my families favorite, the outdoor shower! The area offers many choices for activities as Harwich is centrally located to all that the Cape has to offer. We have stayed in quite a few other areas along the Cape and really appreciated how easy it was to travel around the area. Bank Street beach is very close to the property and is a beautiful beach and very family friendly. There are many wonderful restaurants close by that offer a wide variety of food. We had seafood one night, pizza another and Mexican a third. All were delicious! I would highly reccommend this home and the area as a wonderful, relaxing, true Cape Cop vacation. We can't wait to visit again next summer!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We’ve just returned from a week at this lovely home and were very pleased. The home itself is very clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The grounds are nicely landscaped, the outside shower is great and the separate garage is very convenient for storing bikes and beach stuff. The neighborhood is very peaceful and quite so lounging in the hammock was a real treat. While the house and the property are delightful, in my view, the best feature of the home is its location. Within 1 to 1.5 miles you have, The Cape Cod Rail Trail (which I highly recommend for bike riders), Whitehouse Field (home of the Harwich Mariners), Bank Street Beach, numerous restaurants, coffee shops, and a great ice cream shop. There’s also a nice town park about a mile away, where you can catch a musical performance, that has plenty of open space for Frisbee, Wiffle ball, and great bocce courts. Also, Pleasant Bay, which is great for clamming or catching a sunrise, is about five miles away. Lisa has done a fine job with this property and she was a pleasure to work with. I would recommend this home to anyone and would not hesitate to stay here again.
