While the home itself is a great place to stay, the surrounding island is worth the trip as well. Take a short trip to one of the many nearby beaches, including Tiger-tail Beach, and Marco Island South Public Beach. There a various bird watching sites as well as eco-tourism sites. Don't forget to take in the local sights and sounds, go out for fine dining and fun shopping!

3 days notification is required in order to heat the pool. A fee of USD 32 per day must be paid prior to check-in to purchase pool heat for your stay.


Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

    Good House, had a great time. Pool was warm and we were able to make use of the dock by renting a boat for the week.

    The house and pool as well as location were great. Amenities were wonderful. But there were several issues. We rented this house because it had a dock with the access to the Gulf of Mexico. When we arrived, there was a boat parked on the dock that apparently had been left by the previous renters of the house. The property manager did try to come up with a solution for us to park our boat, but it was not going to work so we figured it out on our own. The next afternoon when we again needed to use the dock, the rental boat was gone, which was nice. The most disappointing thing about the whole experience was an alarming number of cockroaches found in the house. I have spent a lot of time in Florida and have come across a roach or two, but we saw and attempted to kill no less than 20 in the house during our stay. I was also greeted by a rat one night when I opened up the grill. Our stay ended on Saturday and on Thursday I received an email from the property management company offering me a late check out for a “limited time.” When I went to select the late checkout option on Friday early evening it was no longer available to me. I contacted the property manager, as well as the management company. The property management company was not helpful and told me that the link expired at 4 PM and that it was auto generated and that there was nothing they could do. The property manager didn’t get back to me until late morning on Saturday when we had already made alternate arrangements.

    The house is in a very quiet neighborhood yet close to everything. Could have been cleaned a little better and the bedrooms only have table lamps. The pool and canal are great but the double sliding doors to the back of the house could use some curtains for a little privacy if wanted. Overall I would recommend and would stay here again.

    All in all, the house was ok. The pool was great and the kids loved it. The dock is nice. Location is amazing, we love Marco island. However, on day two of our stay we had a man just walk into the home WHILE I was sleeping. He was there to exterminate. Which is fine, I understand they have a job to do. But just walking through a door where guests are staying is not ok. Not under any circumstances. We contacted the rental property and they said “we will look into it” and we never heard another word from them. Just for this fact alone, we will not stay at this home again. I don’t know how he even got in, as all doors were locked.

    We enjoyed our 2 week stay on Goldcoast Court. The house had tasteful furniture and decor, beautiful landscaping and a nice lanai. The dock worked out well for our boat rental and we even saw dolphin frolicking most evenings from the dock. The pool was quite warm with paid heating. As previous reviewers mentioned the beds were uncomfortable but we knew that going in. I am certain the owner will be replacing the broken front door lock soon, it is quite difficult to use as is and the only other negative to our stay was the kitchen basics. We found everything to be worn out and in need of a refresh. With new pots and pans, glassware etc this could be the perfect rental home.
