Canal side home with room for a boat

Excellent family weekend getaway. Launched my kayak into the canal and did some fishing. The house was very clean.

Our family of 5 enjoyed your house. It was clean and comfortable. It's an easy walk to the beach. The neighborhood is quiet.

This cottage was basically clean except the floors. They were quite dirty. Bathroom fixtures need repairs. Exterior light needs repairs.

Awesome and as advertised. Only issue was propane tank was totally empty on grill. I would think manager would check that. Other than that great. Lee

From day one there was problems with the house,stairs are loose on both sides of house,toilet paper holders wouldn't stay on,kitchen table was broken,the bathroom drains need attention,,the peope I spoke with was amazing that's over the property but it was not a good stay and I use vrbo alot

We really enjoyed the rental. Decor was cute, clean and pretty spacious for 6. We loved the kids room with bunk beds. The island is amazing - our first trip here. We will be back. When exiting, the directions asked us to run the dishwasher but no detergent was left for us. We used our own but wondered if all who leave just rinse the dishes or if the cleaning crew re-washes. Just a thought. There should be at least ONE dishwasher detergent left for exiting. Overall - other than that small but curious thing - we loved our stay and would recommend it.

Place looks amazing inside. Bright, great layout. We found details to be lacking to the point where you felt like they weren't interested in happy guests, but were interested in booking you (and getting your money) and then you were on your own. Beds were wrapped in plastic making it impossible to sleep. Someone else's dirty underwear behind the dryer. Dead bugs behind couch and tv. Crock pot (which we counted on using) didn't work. Back door deadbolt didn't lock. No coffee filters provided in a town that sells coffee filters nowhere. Deck nails popped up everywhere on the rough deck and stairs. No ladder on the dock to exit the water if you choose to swim in the canal. No other way to get out either. The neighbor was concerned for our kids' safety and gave them an extra ladder to use. Picnic table in the pictures isn't there anymore, so a house that sleeps 6 has a table inside that seats only 4. Roofers showed up at 7:15 a.m. one morning while we were in bed and started throwing bundles of shingles onto the roof. No warning from property management. When staying with this management company, you get no personal greeting from someone who asks you to let them know if you need anything, so it took more than 90 minutes to hear back from local manager after contacting the national phone number about the roofers. They ask you to throw a load of towels and sheets into the washer before you leave however do not provide laundry soap or disinfectant or laundry cleaner of any kind. Makes me wonder how the people before me cleaned my sheets and towels. So very gross. Will definitely not stay with this management company again.

Great house with a great location. Very clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Great location close to everything only thing that we had issue with was the WI-FI but found out it was pretty much the whole island having issues. Would be happy to go back!

My husband and I stayed here and it was a wonderful experience! We fished off the pier for hours, which is just steps from the back door. It was in a nice, quiet neighborhood with lovely views of the canal and the ocean. Although it’s not directly on the beach it was perfect for us, plus there are beach parking passes and it’s literally about a minute down the road. There was no traffic or crowds to deal with and you can park just steps from the ocean, so it wasn’t a big deal at all because you can park right by the water. The house was clean and the inside recently updated. The kitchen was great for cooking and outdoors my husband grilled while I laid in the hammock! I have the ‘communication with property manager’ section 5 stars although we didn’t require contact them but the email and confirmation text came through before our stay and everything went smoothly. Dauphin Island is my new favorite vacation spot and I would love to revisit this home!
