Stayed Feb 13, 2019I recently stayed here as my winter base for cycling (Feb). The house is in a quiet street and benefits from on street parking as well as a garage - which is brilliant for the bikes. It's also exceptionally close to the centre of the town and two really useful small supermarkets... spa size but very reasonable on price and both have fresh produce including in-store baked bread. (There is also a Lidl and an Aldi about 10/15 min drive away just outside Manacor). The house is a good size for sharing and is very comfortable, well equipped, exceptionally clean and well maintained! The owner is also a keen cyclist and a great resource for getting local tips on rides and places to visit. Petra itself has a traditional town square and fountain surrounded by cafe's, which are busy with cyclist and visitors during the day. At night in the winter it's a little quieter but everything you need for a great retreat. Can't recommend the place enough - especially if you're on bikes or have a car. It's a perfect location for exploring as it's in the middle of the island and there are several different routes in and out of the town - so you won't ever do the same route twice in a week.
