The property was good for our family of 6 adults, 2 children and an infant. The kitchen is very well equipped and we made several meals. It is not a ski-out location when there’s not plenty of natural snow on the ground, so just be aware of that. However, the shuttle runs frequently and we utilized it often! Plenty of sleeping spaces but the bottom floor is much colder than the rest of the house. Great little area when you come in the door to put all of your ski equipment! Lots of games available to settle down and play! Enjoyed our visit!
First time bringing my family to Snowshoe for skiing. This was listed as ski in/out with a caveat that it depends on the season. Not accurate. The slope/run that would make this ski in/out is closed by the resort. They must know this in advance and should be honest about it up front. You can walk about a quarter mile from the condo to a slope, but you can't ski in/out when the run to this property is clearly not operational. While the community has a hot tub, it was closed due to covid which was also not disclosed clearly. Camp 4 is within the resort, but it is not a stop on the major bus routes. This is also not clear and disclosed. If you need / want to grab a ride back to Camp 4, they have a much less frequent smaller van service. Had to wait more than 25 minutes for a van. Not tragic, but something that should be clear and disclosed. While the property was OK, the icemaker on the fridge does not work. The heating system is designed poorly as it only has a thermostat on the main floor and the lower floor is extremely cold. It does have a gas fireplace one of the bedrooms down there, but the other does not. Otherwise, this is a perfectly nice property at Snowshoe, but if I were to return I'd look at others that are truly ski in/out and are closer to the village or at least the main bus stops in case one or more of your party wants to go back to the pad.
Two families with 2 teenage boys (so 8 in total) stayed at this townhome for spring break. Location was nice - luckily there had been a snowstorm right before we got there so we could ski in and ski out to the PowderRidge lift. Nice quiet complex. Hot tub was still closed due to covid. Kitchen is a bit small but fine for us. Really like two masters with Kings - those are very hard to fine but work best with two families. Definitely copy the gps location from the description- there’s no cell service in the area and very weak Wi-Fi. I had printed out directions and luckily my phone kept signal to google maps so no issues getting there. Pretty easy to get around Snowshoe. The resort itself is great with lots of green runs for less experienced skiers but harder runs for those who are up for them! Seemed like the restaurants all had somewhat limited menu (definitely not more than 2 pages). Sometimes tricky with a few picky eaters in our group but we managed just fine. We stopped at the IGA in Marlinton to get groceries on the way - definitely glad we did bc very limited provisions once you get to the resort. Ski passes were good for silver creek too so the boys did night skiing there and enjoyed it. Silvercreek is a lot smaller and fewer amenities. We did like the Old Spruce Tavern there and the ski store at silver creek had a good selection. Overall nice vacation and nice condo.
We enjoyed our stay and there was plenty of room. The kitchen was well stocked for an evening of cooking in. Very clean and exactly what you see in the photos. Thank you!
This was the perfect place for 2 families to stay with small kids .. we loved the layout !
Had a smooth check-in upon arriving to the rental (keyless entry)! Kitchen was stocked with all the necessary cookware and living spaces were very clean and updated! The shuttle made it easy to catch a ride to the village to ski for the day! Pet friendly, so we were able to bring the doggos along for the trip which made it very nice! Overall, my friends and I had a great stay and would definitely stay again!
Lovely property and convenient
Driving into beautiful Snowshoe WV one is without phone/cellular service. With that said there were no directions, no signs, no way of knowing how to get to the condo printed on the email. And since there was no phone service there was no way of asking. We drove around and stumbled upon a CASAGO service vehicle. He told us how to get to our condo....YEAH! Once there the was no code for the lock-box. The code that they supplied was the phone number to call..... Drove into town and went inside a clothing store to get out of the driving wind storm that started. The employee there lent us his landline (very nice guy) and we called the helpline. After 23 minutes someone gave us the 4 digit lockbox code. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!!!!! Nice condo.
We enjoyed location. Clean. Kitchen is small but fully stocked with pots and pans. It was hard to find and it would have been helpful to have a map because WiFi is sketchy at Snowshoe.
Everything was as expected from the listing except easy access to a grill. In the cold conditions, broiled steaks in the oven were just fine however. There were some minor issues with the secondary TVs not getting many stations and the fireplace ignition not working every time but the overall experience was comfortable and great.
