Calypso Cabana in Gulf Shores our 5 bdrm home perfect for up to 12 guests by Prickett Properties

Beautiful location. Saw dolphins from the deck. Sunsets and sunrises were breathtaking. Home was comfortable and well-stocked. We will be coming back.

Beautiful Gulf view with uncrowded beach front area. Great for families and those looking for a quiet beach retreat.

Was a fantastic week.

This home was lovely; modern and true to all photos with the exceptions of some changes to bedding and wall decor. Our entry into the home was easy and carefree. The back deck is fantastic and where we spent a lot of time watching sunrise and sunsets. Support was quick to respond to emails when we had to reach out in regards to tv access, restaurant suggestions, and black mold on the ceiling of the master bathroom shower on the main floor. Only thing that surprised us was that people in the home across the street used the beach access under this home and beside it. The occupants shared with us that they were advised that since it was the same property owner for both houses, they were told they could use our beach access too. Sharing this for others just to be aware of other people coming and going from the beach that we did not expect and startled us from a safety perspective.

The home was one of the nicest places we've stayed. Loved not having to do elevators! Loved the short walk to beach.We also enjoyed the front porch area. There are a few updates that do need attention ! Upstair both bathrooms needs attention

This was our second year at Calypso Cabana - we love the location and the house layout. Perfect for a large group. The communication with the team is great and they work hard to make sure all is well. Will definitely be back!

This property was perfect for our family of 6! Steps from the beach with a beautiful view. The beach wasn’t crowded at all for mid July. The house was clean, comfortable,and we appreciated the extra conveniences of a separate ice maker perfect for filling beach coolers, and the outside shower was great for sandy feet. We will definitely stay again!

Property was as advertised. It was right on the water and perfect for our family vacation. The location is perfect. Beach was not crowded and the water was perfect. The house fit our needs perfectly and the AC was cold. Having the 2nd refrigerator was definitely a plus. Would definitely stay here again.

House was good. It is in a great location away from the hustle and right on the beach.The house has everyrhing you could need while at the beach. You can tell it is an older home because it does need some TLC but otherwise really good.

Everything was just as it is described. Plenty of room for our family (all adult children and spouses). You can't beat the beach front and ocean view. The deck for my morning coffee was perfect. Our favorite perk was the under cabinet ice maker. Great for filling our cooler each morning. If we gather again in 2025, we will return to Calypso Cabana.

We were beyond pleased with this property! 4/5 bedrooms had direct access to a bathroom and an additional half bath downstairs. All bedrooms, except the kids room, had balcony access towards the beach. The decor gave us an incredible ‘beach’ vibe and the kitchen was adequately supplied to accommodate our large group.

It was everything we could ask for. Gorgeous, clean, spacious. Any issues were addressed with a phone call, and someone was there to help immediately, excellent service.

This was a lovely home with lots of space to gather with family for the week. Large bedrooms and baths added to the comfort. We had direct access to the beach and a gorgeous view from the deck across the back of the house. From inside the house, a wall of sliding doors gave even more views of the gulf. The kitchen was well equipped for any cooking needs, even providing 2 refrigerators! We were quite comfortable with 7 adults and 8 children. The bunk room actually sleeps 6 with 4 bunks and 2 trundles. We brought pack-n-plays for young children. So with 4 king size beds and six children in the bunk room, it easily sleeps fifteen. We hope to rent this house again in the future.

The representatives from Prickett Properties were not friendly. We were very confused about check in and they were very short with us when we called (twice). The house was nice but was NOT clean. The bed sheets appeared to be changed but there was dog hair all over the floors and it looked like it had never been cleaned under the couches and chairs. The washer and dryer worked but were not clean and there was a smell coming from the washer. We had to call maintenance (Paige was awesome!) on 3 different occasions. The extra fridge in the pantry was not cooling and smelt like the tenants before had left dead shrimp in there. A door to one bedroom was put on upside down and would not close. The dishwasher did not work. We finally quit calling and just hand washed dishes all week. The pots and pans that were provided need replacing desperately. The Keurig did not work properly. All cabinets were labeled with what was supposed to be inside but nothing was where it was supposed to be. The walls were so thin, you could hear every sound coming from downstairs to the upstairs. The No Trespassing fence area (next to house) was torn down and many folks from across the street walked right through our driveway. The beach was very nice but would NOT stay at that house again.

Quiet beach with beautiful water. The house is child and dog friendly.

Calypso Cabana was perfect for our annual family beach trip! It was clean and well furnished. The two refrigerators were great. Highly recommend!
