We went to this rental house in October. It was extremely clean and well maintained when we arrived which let us make ourselves feel right at home. We utilized it for a small rehearsal dinner the night before our wedding. The kitchen and dining area are very large and open making it a perfect setting. There are lots of large windows making a beautiful view over the lake. We also had our hair and makeup done on the morning of the wedding which was so easy with all the natural lighting. Communication and directions from the owner was extremely easy and friendly. The neighbor next door was also extremely accommodating. We loved our stay and would love to come back in the summer to enjoy the balcony, volleyball and lake! We would highly recommend to others!
We held our wedding reception here with a few friends and family. Absolutely gorgeous house and awesome veiws. Clean and well maintained. We are planing on staying here again, and would highly recommend it to others.
Our family gathered together to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday and it could not have turned out better. Boggs' Lodge is spacious and well-appointed, and the views are spectacular. We kayaked, enjoyed a great campfire, played pool and lots of cards and board games. The decks are wonderful for lazy breakfasts and relaxation. No one wanted to leave. Mr. Bill next door was pleasant, helpful, and just a pleasure to meet. Our family began talking about returning before we left! Many thanks for sharing this special place.
Myself and my kids' families (grandkids ages 4 to 20) had a wonderful week at Boggs' Lodge! We were fortunate to have a sunny, hot and sometimes humid week, so the a/c was a blessing. The house is beautiful and perfectly maintained. We loved the open kitchen and the big farmhouse dining table where we could all sit down together. Mrs. Boggs and Bill the next-door manager were johnny-on-the-spot with every question. We had no maintenance issues at all, except for the lower level being a little cooler than the main level with the a/c -an issue with many homes with a walkout lower level. It actually made for good sleeping down there. The lake is peaceful, shallow, clean and sandy for the little ones. They also had a great time chasing frogs, hunting for clams and building sand castles. The big boys had surprisingly productive fishing. We rented the pontoon and other boats- beautiful pontoon- and followed the bald eagles around the lake and watched the loons play hide-n-seek with us. We ran, biked and walked around the lake. Good internet- the dads worked from home. I fell in love with the farmhouse across the street and loved seeing rolling farm fields from the boat. A beautiful week. Highly recommend for your family, especially if you have little ones.
We really had a good time.
We had a get together for our family members all coming from out of state with children. We were super happy with the space that this property offered and the accommodations, such as the well stocked kitchen, two large living areas, gaming areas and nice furniture (*beautiful wood furniture by the way*). There was a large table in the kitchen with bench seating for large families and despite much of our trip was rainy, we were still able to enjoy the lake and the beach. The lake is small but was adequate for our family who barefoot skis, wakeboards, skis, sky skis etc. The one thing that was a surprise the night after we arrived was that this lake is partial to fishing. As a family who barefoots, we intend to use the water when it is 'glass' and that is usually early morning or just before the sun sets, we were surprised to find out that this particular lake had restrictions on boating for people who want to fish. We had specifically looked for a place that did not set these type of restrictions for that reason, but luckily the weather was mild enough and we were able to get great water during the boating hours allowed. The next door neighbor who manages the property was a very sweet man who was extremely helpful and kind. Barb was nothing but helpful in anticipation of the vacation and even leading up to committing to booking the vacation. The beach area was fantastic, nicely groomed and super fun for the kids. It was also a great lake to use the paddle boards and kayaks on. Meijer was not far away for grocery needs. Aside from the small surprise mentioned above this is a great property to rent and is highly recommended by our family.
The home is clean, well maintained with ample room and furnishings for a larger group, including a sizeable dining room table. we enjoyed the stay and will return. I received my deposit back promptly and would recommend the location to others.
We had a wonderful long weekend in this up north lodge. It is a beautiful home right on Stoneledge lake with gorgeous views from both levels of this two story home. It is immaculate with all the amenities! We went to see the fall foliage and took a ride up M22 along Lake Michigan. The colors were beautiful through the Manistee National Forest and the Sleeping Bear Dunes. We also enjoyed shopping in Traverse City. This lodge is centrally located to visit multiple places and the colors were peak in late October. We shared our weekend with another couple and are looking forward to returning next year. This was a perfect weekend get away!
We had a group of 6 friends that wanted to get away up north for a weekend of kayaking on the lake and nearby rivers. We definitely picked a the right house to rent! It was very clean and nicely decorated. We enjoyed the use of the pool table and air hockey. The view from the living room of the lake was beautiful to say the least. The kitchen was nicely stocked with all the cookware you may need. The only 1 complaint our group had was the low water pressure in the kitchen sink which made it hard to wash the pots and pans but no reason not to rent this place again. Barb the owner was a pleasure to work with on renting the house and promptly returned our deposit right away. We look forward to renting your place next year and had a great time. Thank you again Barb.
Our group consisted of 12 adults and 2 babies. We had more than enough room to sleep, eat and play. When we arrived, the house was very clean and updated. The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans/silverware, beds were comfy and the fireplace kept us nice and warm. We went ice fishing, and walked on the nature trails. The neighbor/manager was very friendly and helpful. We had a great time!
