We loved this home. It was so clean and had everything we needed. We also thought that the hot tub was the best one we have seen. It was comfortable. And the views were amazing! The lights on the back deck railings stayed on the whole time which gave a nice ambience feel without blinding you when you sleep. You Just felt at home.I thought the bed was also very comfortable. Me and my family of 4 stayed here so that we could be close to all the skiing. Next trip I hope that it will be available.
Everything was great, however I would recommend an overhead fan in the master bedroom..
Great location in between Blowing Rock and Boone. The house is in good condition, and the view was wonderful!
We’ve been traveling to the mountians for several years now and stay at least 2 times a year at a VBRO. I’m always nervous picking a place now because most of them are not clean, not well kept, not updated and have nothing in the kitchen to use during the stay in the same price range. The photos always look nice and then you are dissapointed when you arrive. Not this time! This house was clean, overall updated with nice clean baths, comfortable beds and I actually had kitchen items to cook with. We all enjoyed our stay and located directly between Boone and Blowing Rock. Highly recommend this place for a stay. Will definitely book agian!
Great house, wonderful views and the perfect location! Loved our time!
We came for an app state visit weekend and it was very easy to get around! The roads are steep and narrow at times getting up there but the view is worth it!
lovely little cabin for a weekend ski trip with the family. unfortunately, the one major drawback of the property was the driveway. we had a large car to accomodate a party of 6 and getting into and out of the driveway was very precarious. there were a few mishaps with passengers getting out of the car and almost falling down the hill and the driver getting twigs from the close bushes stuck in his hair. also, hot tub gets could have been stronger. overall, lovely property with amazing view. fully updated interior and appliances :) thank you to the host family for letting us borrow it for a weekend!
Both VRBO & Evolve listing has property listed as check-in at 3pm. We arrived at the home at 3:25pm and the front and back doors were open with a lady inside. I approached the lady and asked how much longer she needed. She scolded me and told me that check-in is after 4pm and told me to give her 20mins. I sat outside in my car for an additional 35mins. I then re-approached the women, who then had a harden hose coming in through the front door and out the back door to the hot tub. She had the water over-flowing out the top of the hot tub, which was filled with green water. I asked how much longer she needed. She then told me “I’m all done”. She then dragged the hose through the house, water drenching the entire living space. I was floored. I asked if she was thr property manager, she responded that she was not. I asked if she was cleaning up the water that was all over the place and she responded “I’ll be right back to get that”. She then got in her car and drove off…. I made several attempts to contact the “property manager” only to find out that the lady who was there was actually her. She never came back, never returned any calls. We canceled our entire stay and ended up having to book a hotel for our vacation. This situation was a complete nightmare. I have pictures of it all.
Great cabin that was cozy with plenty of room for my wife, son, and I. Fireplace was great to have. Some things to note: Master bedroom mattress is in need of replacing. We had 4 horrible nights of sleep because of a huge indentation in the middle of the bed. The road to the cabin is narrow, steep, and has tight switch-backs. If driving a large vehicle, be careful. We went for snowboarding at nearby Appalachian Mtn. and it was okay conditions for having no natural snow. Thankfully there was no snow or ice on the roads otherwise the drive to the cabin would be harder. Hot tub was a nice to have but jets are not powerful enough to really do much good. Was still nice to soak in. Driveway is also a bit narrow with 2 trees on either side at one point. Overall, if mattress was replaced, we'd definitely visit again.
Clean home with an amazing view. Fully stocked kitchen and extra towels and linens. Walked around the neighborhood and spoke with a few friendly neighbors. Great time.
