The outdoors come inside in this lovely home with the heart of a cabin. The peace and quiet come easily when you're relaxing on the deck, where you can enjoy incredible views from Screamer Mountain. Enjoy the fresh mountain air on the deck chairs or while grilling on the private gas grill. Inside, everyone can gather around the wood-burning fireplace and tell stories of the day's adventures. The fully equipped kitchen connects seamlessly with the dining area and living room, allowing for perfect hangouts. Central air conditioning helps keep everyone comfortable with the sun comes in. Bedrooms are set with wooden or log furniture that continue the woodsy theme of the entire cabin - how many bears can you find One accessible bathroom allows guests to visit with minimal assistance, because everyone is welcome here. But when the sun starts to go down, there's only one place to be: the firepit. Roast some marshmallows together or draw the home's blankets around you and watch the stars come out at night. There are plenty of treasures to be found on the property, from the hammock in the backyard to the beautiful autumn foliage and the fog that rolls over Pinnacle Mountain. Come brew some coffee or pour a glass of wine, and enjoy the views - this home is ready to be guests' sanctuary in the woods. The family dog is also welcome to join you here!

Parking is a challenge with very steep driveway & little turn-around room, but doable. Only complaint is the TV options-no local stations or live sporting events available. Cabin has a nice layout .
Very nice, cozy, spacious and clean cabin! We really enjoyed our stay and the views! We spent a lot of time on the back porch admiring. The only thing I will add, is that I am glad we took a 4 wheel drive truck. The orchid trail was very rocky and we actually spun wheels even in 4 wheel drive. Not sure how it would have been in our SUV or car but I am glad we didn’t chance it. The driveway is also tricky to get in and out of. We didn’t go to the fire pit because it was very steep and with a 2,4 & 9 year old I didn’t want to take a chance of someone getting hurt, but overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Close to town, yet secluded with great Mountain Views. The cabin was clean, well stocked, and beds were comfortable. Clayton was a nice, quaint town with a variety of locally owned shoppes with quality items for all ages, not just the same ole tourist traps. The Dillard House restaurant is a must do! Family style home cooking. Iron Mountain - ATV rentals offered awesome trails! All in all we had a great time, no issues - easy stay! Thank you Vacasa and Little Bear Cabin!
This home sits on the top of Screamer Mountain and the views are spectacular. The home is nicely laid out and is quiet. The perfect place to stay for R&R, quiet evenings on the back porch, and sipping hot cocoa in front of the huge fireplace while watching a good movie. We enjoyed the hikes nearby, a trip to Helen and some nice pottery shops--all within easy driving distance. A conveniently located property!
The home was beautiful and well stocked. The deck has plenty of seating, great views and a grill. The back yard is very steep, my 6 year old slid a little while walking down, so be cautious. Very close to Ingles and to town. The bad is that it was difficult to find. The house was not clean and sanitized, some blankets smelt horrible and there were yellow splashes around toilet. A young lady (housekeeping) attempted to get into the house a day before my check out, luckily I was doing laundry instead of nursing my baby I was able to talk to her through the window.
I enjoyed staying at Little Bear Cabin but I do recommend a 4x4 vehicle. Also try to get there before sunset since it is a 1 way road from the entrance and it can get very steep. Other than is was nice to see Tv with fireplace and enjoyed my coffee with a beautiful view. My Dog loved running around.
Overall this cabin is just as advertised - spacious, cute, cozy, and well-stocked. The views are amazing! Only thing I didn't like was the journey to get there - driving up the mountainside on a one car at a time paved road and then on a dirt road. A bit scary!
The house was beautiful, clean and equipped very nicely with everything we needed including plenty of board games and cards. We traveled with another couple. The layout of the house was perfectly suited for two couples. We didn’t feel like we were invading each others space. The deck overlooking the mountain was great! Plenty of room on the deck to relax. It has outdoor dining and separate area for sitting. There is a fire pit area on the property but we did not use it while we were there. The house is just a short distance to town where you will find places to eat and shop. The drive to the house is typical mountain driving. We would definitely rent again if staying in area.
The house itself is laid out well for two couples- bedrooms are on opposite sides, giving some space and privacy. The location is great- easy drive into Clayton. Our only issue was a missing remote for the bedroom tv and lack of instructions for the living room tv. We understand that folks are going to streaming services, but if you don't have that particular service and account, you don't necessarily know how it operates. Written instructions would be great! We are college football fans and struggled to find a way to watch games on Saturday. We would have also loved a bit more direction to find the short walk to a waterfall from the property. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
Very clean, well decorated and maintained, and breath-taking views in fall. It’s a little bumpy of a drive to get there, but not uncommon in the area and only for a short distance. Would def stay here again.
As most reviews stated it was cute, cozy, and truly convenient to everything. The Little Bear Cabin was the PERFECT home away from home for my husband and I so we could explore the surrounding areas and hang out relaxing. We visited the first week in October so the weather conditions were mild except for A LOT of rain. The road to the house was a typical side road in the mountains (a little bumpy/windy) and the driveway was easy to maneuver once we saw it in the daylight (we arrived after dark). This VRBO home on the side of Screamer Mountain has everything you'll need to make your stay an enjoyable one; the lovely view, large porch (half is covered), and the real wood burning fireplace were all fantastic too. A few of our favorite adventures were going to see/hike Tallulah Falls and Black Rock Mountain, swimming at Opossum Creek Falls trail (has a sandy beach on a river), eating lunch in DIllard at The Hush Cuban restaurant (their pulled pork tacos were amazing) and another lunch at the Universal Joint in downtown Clayton, plus grilling out or cooking dinners while listening to music and having a glass of wine. Did I mention the ABC store, Ingles grocery store, and Andy's Market (for meats) were all only 5 minutes from the house (in Clayton). The only way it could have been any better (for us) would have been if Mother Nature had provided a little less rain and if the leaves had turned colors a little earlier in the year so we could have seen their bright colors. Thanks LBC for the accommodations!!! ??????
