Stayed Nov 14, 2025The cabin was clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable. We didn’t cook, but it has a big, well stocked kitchen. There are decks on three sides with one screened in section. It is conveniently located within approximately 5 miles of shopping and dining. The turn in for the driveway is confusing, but gets easier with practice. My only negative feedback is about the host Grant. His first email response was friendly and helpful. Later I reached out to him about the cancellation policy because of possible flight problems. He told me there would be no refund because we were too close to the date (which I totally understood), but he added I could find that information on the website like I was bothering him with my email. My impression of Grant was confirmed when I realized I left a public library book at the property. I reached out to Grant to see if he could mail it back to me in Mississippi. His response was that there would be a 25 “retrieval” fee plus shipping, handling and insurance charges so I would probably be better off paying for the book. My conclusion is that the property is great, but if you’re looking for a friendly, helpful host you might want to look elsewhere.

Stayed Oct 29, 2025A Great Vacation Spot! The cabin was very accommodating and fit our needs perfectly. Having a fireplace to warm us up in the evenings was a beautiful touch for my grandchildren. The location was perfect for going downtown, visiting the Arboretum, and heading to the various overlooks. While traveling about, we even saw some bears!

Stayed Oct 23, 2025We have stayed at this property several times before and keep returning! It could use some new towels however; not quite enough for 4 ladies and they had a weird odor! But the addition of gas logs was great!

Stayed Oct 19, 2025This was a lovely, clean and well furnished home in the woods very close to downtown Asheville. The decor was well done and welcoming. The deck offers beautiful views. Some people mentioned a steep driveway. We had 2 full size large SUVs and had no difficulty with getting to the home or with parking. Please don't let this prevent you from staying in this lovely spot. We are three couples who enjoy a fall weekend in the Carolinas each year and this was the perfect spot. Thanks Josh!

Stayed Oct 15, 2025Beautiful home and property. Amazing views. We went to a few nearby parks which is where we saw a family of bears. House was close to downtown which we enjoyed as well. I definitely recommend this property and look forward to staying there again on next vacation.

Stayed Oct 2, 2025Beautiful view from deck and great room. Bedrooms nice. Pretty steep driveway but managed in a minivan no problem. Only issues were that pots and pans are stored in drawer under the oven and the drawer was very dirty with bits of old food and grease. Guests shouldn't have to wash dishes before using them. Cupboards had plenty of room. Why not store pots/pans there? Also, the gas grill was very dirty, and we had to scrub clean before using. In addition, it was a very small/cheap grill for house this size. Overall stay was positive!

Stayed Jul 3, 2025The house was wonderful. It was immaculate. The kitchen was fantastic. It was located near things we wanted to do. It was delightful sitting on the porch. The only problem was the road to get in and the parking. We are in our 80s and found turning the car around on the steep gravel road with the cliff on one side very difficult. Fortunately, our granddaughter came to stay with us. We used her car. Unfortunately, she had to leave a day early so we left when she did.

Stayed Jul 25, 2025The property exceeded our expectations. The view is beautiful and we absolutely loved the deck. We even saw bears at a safe distance. The property has everything you could possibly need. We were so impressed with the cleanliness and the very nice furnishings. We went to the Grove Park Inn for dinner one night which was amazing and only 10 minutes away. You can also make in to downtown in 10 minutes. Probably my favorite thing about the property is the elevated deck. It’s a beautiful place for sunrise and sunset. And it is up in the trees so I didn’t worry about the bears. We will definitely come back.

Stayed Jun 23, 2025We stayed two nights. Had never been to Asheville before. Location was perfect. With Mountain View’s comes mountain roads. Once you figure it out, it is not too bad. House was great for my wife, our 16 year old and me. Plenty of room to spread out. House was well finished, we did not cook, but everything you could need was there. Would stay here again.

Stayed Aug 29, 2024We enjoyed our stay. The location close to the city, but tucked away in the mountains, allowed us to enjoy some time in nature with the attractions of Asheville a short drive away. The home was comfortable and well equipped for four adults. It seems like bear sightings are quite common and we ran across a bear on two separate occasions on the road a short distance from the house. If we ever come to the Asheville area again, we would be happy to stay here.

Stayed Sep 4, 2024The house is spacious and in a nice location. If you’re interested in a rustic, somewhat dated cabin feel, then this house is a good option. Personally, I prefer a more updated look and feel, along with inviting well- maintained decks. We chose this place because of the view but there’s only a small space where the mountain range is viewable and it’s beside a very prominent dead tree.
