Leeds, Utah
Near Zion Nat'l Park and right outside of St. George, the log home is located in the historic mining district of Silver Reef in the town of Leeds, Utah.
Rockhounds & history buffs will dig exploring the mine tailings and remains of the 1890s mining town.
Stargazing is primo here, too! See the Milky Way! Nightly breezes blow the clouds away, you'll be amazed at how many stars there are in the sky! It is the perfect starting point for exploring many of Utah's great parks.
The house was great. Very clean and amenities galore!
This was a wonderful house with everything we needed. The view of the ridge was amazing and we thouroughly enjoyed sitting on the deck in the morning while watching all the little birds and creatures. The cabin is so close to Zion Natl Park, Quail Creek and Sand Hollow. Sand Hollow, on a week day, was our top pick of the things we did. We hope to be back!
The log home was nice and had absolutely everything we needed. Beds very comfortable, very nice kitchen, water/dryer, etc. Location was very good for our activities in Sand Hollow, Zion, Red Cliffs, Snow Canyon. We were disappointed in the views and close proximity of neighbors. The views were nice but more homes around us then we expected. When I travel to Utah I try and book spectacular views and this cabin fell short of my expectations. Even though the neighborhood was super quiet, I didn’t enjoy looking at homes all around and beneath us. Although I did enjoy the one house that had sheep and horses and chickens for peaceful animal watching. There was a lot of construction going on at the home next door so we woke up to backhoes and big gravel trucks each morning at 7am. However, the project they are working on should be completed in a week or so. I always confirm my reservations with airlines, car rental, and VRBO owner two weeks prior to traveling, even if I have a VRBO confirmation number, I like to double confirm with the owner prior to a big trip like this. (Especially since the VRBO site has been unreliable lately) The owner never would contact me back even though I texted and called and left a voicemail. I also thanked her for the nice gift she left for us upon arrival and let her know what time we would be checking out to catch our flight and, again, no response at all.
Amazing time exploring Zion and what a beautiful house to come back to every night!
This property was clean and lovely. Great home base for our daily outings. Views were awesome and lots of nearby activities. The house had everything we needed. Thank you for a great stay!
We are so happy we chose the cabin, it was nicely tucked away with all the conveyances. We hope to come back!
This is a very nice cabin outside of St George - which is very near hiking and biking trails (including the Red Cliffs area) Cozy cabin which our family enjoyed. A couple of things to note. The dryer does not operate well at all - it is a combination washer dryer and it took a very long time to dry anything. We were there in March and the weather can be variable during this time so when it snowed we went to Las Vegas for a couple days and did our clothes at the place we rented there. Early on the owner asked me if we wanted some maid service - and when I figured out how the dryer was operating I told her yes because I realized it would be hard to wash towels and sheets. She told me she would get back to me to schedule (apparently after checking with the cleaning person) - but she never did. I was a little amazed actually since she had been very responsive early on when I was setting up the rental - so maybe she was ill or something? A very well equipped kitchen and the local Mexican restaurant in town was incredibly awesome (and we spend a bunch of time in Mexico so that is saying something.)
Lovely cozy cabin with every thing you need. Great central location to all the southwestern National parks. Hope to return!
We absolutely loved this cabin! My wife and I, along with our three girls ages 5, 9, and 11, fell in love with this cabin as soon as we stepped in the door. The oldest girl claimed the curtained room and the two youngest loved the loft room. Location was great. It was in great proximity to Zion, Hurricane, Kannaraville Falls, and Red Cliffs. We went hiking every day. We only had one small issue and Cassandra addressed it immediately and got it resolved right away. She made our stay very easy and very enjoyable. The cabin was very clean and it had everything we needed and alot that we didn't know we needed. We honestly did not want to leave. 10 out of 10 would stay here again.
As advertised, very nice spacious home in a spectacular location. The house is very well kept, the views are awesome, everything was just right. There are a lot of activities within a few miles of this home. The Red bluff trails and the Dixie National park are just a few minutes away. Within a couple of hours drive is the Northern rim of the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas and much more. It is a great place to sit on the deck and watch the wildlife too. Great place for atvs .
