My daughter and I had an excellent stay at the cabin. The property was exactly as described. We had no difficulty finding it. Our dog Ellie loved exploring and running around the large lot The deck was a lovely area to relax at night. The cabin itself was clean, cozy and comfortable. I appreciated the instructions and information pertaining to the care of the cabin. It was welcoming and stocked with everything we needed and more! We also appreciated the use of the kayaks and had a wonderfully relaxing experience! We absolutely recommend this wonderful property!

The cabin was very cozy and peaceful. The hot tub was very relaxing and the outside set up was gorgeous. Our pup loved the treats that were left for him.

Our host was great and responded very quickly. We greatly appreciated that we were able to check in early. The cabin is comfortable, and the hot tub is great! We were surprised by how close to the road the cabin is.

We arrived the afternoon of a snow storm and it was a beautiful winter wonderland. Our host Al reached out the following morning and coordinated a time to come by to clear the deck, walkways and the driveway. We came back to a clear area so we could enjoy the hot tub and the fire pit on the back deck. Being closer to the road I worried at first but when you’re inside the sound you hear from any traffic is very minimal. We are planning a stay in the summer to enjoy the river activities. We did have visitors in back of several deer and a couple raccoons that were very curious one evening. This place is a little hidden gem.

Loved the location for Kenyon family weekend. Perfect serene cabin in the woods. Great place to get away and recharge. Loved being right on the river and able to hear the critters splashing around. The cabin has everything we needed for the weekend. Would definitely book again.

My wife and I came here for an anniversary trip and loved it. The house is secluded, well kept, and inviting. We enjoyed the various amenties offered including the deck firepit, outdoor shower, and hot tub. The road is very close to the house but you don't really notice it.

The house fit our needs perfectly. Is right on the main road but didn’t bother us as made it easy for our day excursions. Enjoyed the hot tub in the morning when the air was chilly.One of the highlights was sitting out on the swing by the river. A bald eagle flew right over us as we sippped on a complimentary glass of wine. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Very clean property, everything worked as it should, no problems.

It was a clean cabin. I really enjoyed the complimentary wine and pumpkin bread. My dog loved playing ball in the backyard. We wanted to try kayaking but maybe another time. Only reason for four stars and not five was the water. Definitely a smell to the faucet and shower water tho but not a huge deal.

Older inside. Bed was awful and left early. Well water was strong egg smell. Toliet light to flush. Musty smell cabin. Dark inside

Quiet location and peaceful by the river

Very sweet place along a river. We used the kayakes, the hot tub, the fire pit,and went fishing. Great place to unwind and set by the river. There were little towns to go shop and eat out.

This was our second time staying here and we had a great time. This is one of my favorite places to stay! Its perfect for our family! We love the location and amenities. The house was clean and wine and pumpkin bread were waiting for us. Everything you need is already thought of for you! Love the labeled lightswitches! So helpful!

This is the second time we have visited the cabin for our anniversary. And as before, we really enjoyed our stay.The house was very clean. Beds were comfortable. We really enjoyed the complementary pumpkin bread and bottle of wine.The views were exceptional. The greatest improvement we found from the last time was the steps to the river. It made fishing and getting into the river, so much more easy.The only downfall, of course, is the traffic noise but honestly, after a while, you don’t even pay attention to it.

Check in was very easy however we passed the house getting there. That could have been our maps. Everything you could possibly need was there and then some. The extras were beyond fantastic. The only reason I gave four stars to cleanliness was because there was something in the hot tub. They messaged me back immediately and sent the cleaner out. Turns out it was just a little piece of deck paint. Not a big deal. The only reason for four stars on location was because the main road was very loud during the day. There was almost no traffic there in the evening and it was extremely peaceful. Of course we used the hot tub and took the kayaks out. The wine and the pumpkin bread were just fantastic! Very attentive hosts. Definitely would recommend.

We had the most amazing time staying at this charming cottage on the river for our sisters' trip! From the moment we arrived, we could tell the hosts put so much care into making sure their guests have an unforgettable stay. They truly thought of everything — from insect repellent and coffee filters to a sweet welcome gift of a bottle of wine and delicious locally made pumpkin bread.The location was peaceful and beautiful, right on the river. We loved tubing, fishing, and relaxing in the hot tub while soaking in the scenery. The cottage was cozy, clean, and well-stocked with everything we needed. You have everything you could need from a grill, kayaks, tubes, fire pit, hot tub and comfortable beds. This was the perfect place for us to reconnect and unwind. Highly recommended this location and hosts!Very clean and well kept, updated and accommodating peaceful location on the river.Watched the hawks and eagles along with sunrise/sunsets and other wildlife off the huge deck while in the hot tub.We will be returning, thank you!

The cabin was so nice! Everything from the hot tub, the outdoor shower, and the swing beside the river was PERFECT! The bottle of wine and pumpkin bread was an added and nice suprise! Thank you for a wonderful getaway spot!

The cabin and all furnishings were clean and exactly as displayed in pictures. Beautiful setting. Owners were very responsive and pleasant. Enjoyed the location immensely

The only complaint I had was not the owners fault, the road it is on is VERY busy with a lot of fast moving loud vehicles going by.The property was gorgeous and very pet friendly.

The property was very clean and had many extra touches. However, our weekend getaway was impacted by loss of electricity. The house is on a very busy road with semis driving 55mph. The noise couldn’t be heard inside but it was loud outside when sitting on the beautiful deck. During our stay, the power was out for several hours. Without air conditioning, lights, television, or the ability to flush toilets, we were forced to alter our plans substantially. We noticed a strong sewage-like odor coming from the bathroom sink and shower, which made it very difficult to sleep in the adjacent bedroom. The smellWhen we brought this to the owner’s attention, we were told that odors might occur due to barometric pressure changes.From our own research and understanding, a power outage can indeed cause septic systems to malfunction. Loss of power disrupts waste processing, potentially leading to wastewater backup and foul odors inside the home. Given that the power outage and the odor occurred simultaneously, it’s likely these issues were related.Telling a guest that we should have gotten travel insurance is not the answer. Maybe invest in a generator.

Great little cottage lots of things to do river a walk down from cottage. Hosts were great to work with. Had everything you needed and then some!

The cabin is very cozy and inviting. It's in a beautiful location along the river and felt secluded, even though access to stores and restaurants was not far away. It felt like a nature retreat. I wish I could have enjoyed the deck, hot tub, and view more. Unfortunately, it rained the entire weekend. My arrival was very warm and welcoming. Low lights were on, instrumental music was playing, and the owners were kind enough to have some lovely complimentary items waiting for me. Communication was responsive and thorough. Everything is well stocked and easy to locate thanks to very thoughtful labeling and instructions throughout the cabin. It is very apparent that the hosts wanted their visitors to feel at home. I certainly did. I really loved my stay and found it very relaxing. I would be happy to return in the future and hopefully be able to enjoy everything it has to offer.

Was clean and had everything you would need. Nice fire pit and hot tub, with a short walk to the water in the back yard. Was easy to get to, and a short drive to restaurants and stores. Everything is exactly as advertised.We were especially surprised at the complementary pumpkin bread and wine left for us to start the weekend. That was definitely a first for us of all places we've stayed throughout Ohio.

really nice place, would stay again. the only thing I could complain about at all is the road it was on was surprisingly busy. otherwise it was perfect.

Had a pretty amazing week here with the wife, kid, and dogs. Sunsets on the back porch from the hot tub were incredible. Fully enclosed back porch was very helpful with the dogs. Overall the place was very baby and dog friendly.

Very clean & spacious cabin. Beautiful property & private despite being off semi- busy road. Lichen island seats 6 & kitchen sufficiently stocked.

The property was as advertised. It was on a lazy river which was a wonderful backdrop for our hot tub sessions. The cabin was clean and well appointed. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return in warmer weather in order to take advantage of the kayaks.

A fun, simply laid out, fairly private, well kept, up to date place that would be easy to spend alot of time at. The closed in porch and backyard made it easy to keep tabs on our dog. The hot tub was wonderful, the big firepit on the porch got plenty of use and the nice section of river behind the property I can see being tons of fun when its warmer. Excited to come back sometime

We had an amazing stay, even though it raines for majority of our trio we made the best of it. We fished in the river and hubby caught 2 catfish. We went and visited the Amish country and local eataries very cool places

The property is really nice, great porch. The house is very close to route 36 so it can be quite loud on the porch with semis and farm equipment passing by. Political candidate signs stuck up at the entrance is also not a very welcoming start or a good look for a rental property. Otherwise, very clean and comfortable.

Our stay was from 09/07/24 to 09/10/24 This was a wonderful place to to get away from the stress of everyday life and enjoy some privacy and nature. The cabin had everything we needed for our stay and then some. My wife and I like to leave anywhere we stay as we found it , and everything was there and available to allow us to clean things as we went. We really enjoyed the swing by the river, and the fishing was excellent. Didn't get to try the kayaks due to it being a chillier than expected stay. But the hot tub and the fire pit, and the supplied board games filled our time. Great cabin, perfect setting and plenty to do. Just wanted to give a big Thank You! to Al and Sue for putting the time, money and effort into creating a space that allows people like us to reconnect with each other and enjoy nature. It was an excellent place for us to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. Thanks again, and we cant wait to return. Dave and Kim K.

We came to Ohio at the request of our son who chose that as his vacation spot. We really enjoyed the beauty of the state. The cabin was perfect. It had everything we needed and was exceptionally neat and clean. We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and the kayaks. We found many things to do in the area and the weather was perfect.
