Rome, Georgia
*Walk to Floyd Hospital, Downtown Rome/Broad Street (12 minute walk/less than a mile), Bike Paths, The Etowah, Oostanuala and Coosa Rivers. 5 minute drive to Berry and Shorter College. Requires going up/down stairs to enter/leave house. The floor is SOLID, but UNEVEN in places. There is a step-up/down in Kitchen, hallway, and master bedroom. Significant foot traffic in neighborhood and despite being in a "small town," area can seem quite busy. NOT a sleepy or suburban type neighborhood. There is a low-income 55+ community across the street. Once your book with us, please get on G Maps and look around the neighborhood.
*Big front porch
*1242 square feet.
*Hair dryer, Iron
*Free Coffee.
*Publix is a 5 minute walk.
*Netflix and WiFi.
TV in living room and master bedroom.
*We love animals, but they must first be approved. There will be an additional fee, too.
Rooms are large and bright! Kitchen is stocked. Easy access to Rome attractions.
From looking at pics to actually seeing this Vrbo was nothing like the pics Very shotty Reno. Floors were not leveled anywhere in this house. It was clean but there were roaches everywhere which was disgusting and we didn’t want to put our luggage and bags down for fear of bringing them home with us. The neighborhood was a little shady! If we ever visit again we will find a hotel. This Vrbo was falsely advertised. The beds were practically sitting on the floor. We’d major work to be a nice VRBO
The space was big enough for a group of alumni visiting for Mountian Day! Plenty of towels and pillows.
Neighborhood did not feel safe. House was sparse but clean. The worst part is that every bed/mattress was extremely uncomfortable and must have been purchased from Goodwill or a trash dump. The only thing we needed were comfortable beds.
Located close to Sweet Frogs!
Cute little house, but quite spacious. Took a little bit to get used to the small step up into and out of kitchen and master bedroom. Would change out the streaming on TV in living room to a ROKU or Firestick. Probably could put up an antenna and not have to deal with any streaming.
We were comfortable. It is “bare bones” but clean. MUCH older home that is remodeled. Neighborhood has a lot of elderly. Close to everything. The only caution I have is the flooring is uneven. NOT for anyone with balance problems. Ceiling fan in bedroom only has one setting that works. Said 2 queen size beds but I’m not certain that they weren’t full size. Overall it was fine for 2 nights. Bring your own coffee or maybe do a better job finding it than I could. Luckily Bojangles just a couple of blocks away. PS if you go there try their BoBerry Biscuits!
We enjoyed the this older neighborhood and quaint house. The front porch has a cool breeze and is perfect for relaxing after a fun day.
Would definitely return
As described in the listing, the floors are not level, but we have no mobility issues, so it wasn’t a problem for us. Parking isn’t optimum for a larger vehicle, but it’s not unusual for the location. The property was clean and comfortable. We were not able to connect to the Wi-Fi, but I believe that’s a temporary issue due to the property having recently changed ISPs. We would stay here again.
Great place
Close to Berry College and Downtown. Very clean and comfortable.
This was a nice home for our short stay
Great house close to everything in Rome. Will stay again.
Convenient for our needs. Could use cookware that isn't all scratched up. Would stay again.
I was pleased with this home. It was in a convenient location to what we needed. Publix is only a few blocks away as well as many restaurants. Britt was a great host and everything was as described. Only thing we had a problem with was the low ceiling at backdoor. So if you are tall watch your head.
Loved it!
