Group of 8 for girls weekend, overnight paranormal experience at prison…the “Lodge” was clean, cozy and warm! Great place to hang out with friends! Exactly as described. We had an awesome time and great to use as your “home” base! Would stay again. Lisa from Tennessee
Had a great time 10 of is stayed very roomy place with plenty of beds.
The location was great right around the corner from the trails. It would have been nice to have had an outside light to see coming coming up the steps. Overall the place was clean and location was great.
Ok so I'll start with the bad. When we got there the house and property was pitch black. Needs to be a motion light for stairs and driveway. We dubbed the stairsstairs of death because nothing illuminated the bottom half of stairs. Deck is shoddy and front door has closing issues. We grabbed some bacon from fridge next morning and found it to be room temp. This is also a known issue with the owner. We had to buy alot of ice and keep our food in coolers. Also the ice and water maker/ dispensers didn't work. Master bath has toilet and toilet seat issues, and shower head was busted out of wall and moving around. Charcoal grill was a piece of junk, looks like it fell off a truck, we had to fix the cover and inside was filthy with old food stick on it. A newer propane grill would be nice. One Smoke detector was off the ceiling and on the kitchen island. There were no chairs for fire pit so we had to go to Walmart to get some. I would mention in the add to bring a chair. Now for the good, place was nice, had comfortable beds and great showers. It was very clean and had most everything you would need. Rebecca, the owner was great. She was responsive with return emails. She was very apologetic about the fridge issue and even gave us some money back to get ice. She also allowed us to move fire pit to the driveway since the back yard was muddy from the rain. Overall my group and I were very happy staying here and would definitely return despite some of the issues.
The trailer was close to the prison as requested but it stated it was on 6 acres of land. The tiny lot had only a small area for outdoor use and it was not mowed so there was no way to use it. Then it rained and by morning there was a small river of what smelled like sewage. There were NO extra garbage bags provided and 1 dishwasher pod. Very poor experience considering the large price tag. Would not recommend.
So nice and so big!! Clean and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again!!
Brought the Jeep’s down for Windrock and this place worked perfect for trucks and trailers. Very comfortable house.
We absolutely enjoyed our stay. We plan to stay again next time we hit windrock Park.
This house was the perfect location for our group of jeepers to explore from. It will definitely be on our list of choices next time we visit.
This place was clean and convenient. We came with a group of friends to ride SxS at Windrock. This place is close to the trailhead. We road our RZR to the trails daily. The house was clean and decorated nicely. It was completely stocked with everything we needed to cook meals. Thank you for a great experience.
