This cabin is good for my family to stay and enjoy here. However, furniture and amenities are old and smell such as sheets, pillows, and blankets. They make my family to be itchy and uncomfortable. In my opinion, owners should be changed new amenities to serve customers are better than.
Cabin has not been maintained or cleaned in some time. Heavy Brown stains on bathroom light switch plate, years of dust on old Venetian blinds, dirty windows, old dark green crusty carpet, sticky bathroom floor, inadequate lighting, paint peeling on balcony and door, black stain on bed pillow case and stains on bed pillow itself, one pillow way too hard and high, the other bed pillow very thin, lumpy mattress with springs easily felt , neither of us could sleep at all. We had to wear shoes and clothes around the house, afraid to touch anything. Couch had old stains on all cushions, 1970 Goodwill decor furniture and decor inside. This cabin was not worth half of the price charged.
Relaxing and comfortable space, would stay again. The roll-away bed seems to live in the bedroom and the wardrobe is full of blankets, VCR, etc so there was no space to hang up clothes— felt cramped in the bedroom. Rental does come with 2 deals— half-off 2 hours of a tandem kayak (or a single kayak for 2 free hours I believe) and a similar deal on a bike/e-bike rental. They gave me some but not all of those details when I asked about the kayak beforehand.
We were really close to the slopes which made accessing them a lot easier. I would stay here again.
The cabin was just the right size for our small family. It had all the basic amenities: kitchen utensils, coffee pot, small toiletries, a couple extra blankets, etc. We loved the location in a quiet neighborhood close to Big Bear but not right in the middle of all the touristy area. One complaint was that it was not kept as clean as I hoped. In general it was very well kept, albeit older with some signs of wear (this was absolutely not a problem and gave the property some character). However, there were some splatter marks in the kitchen, smudges and mildew on the bathroom wall/caulking, and the refrigerator was not level. Again, these were very minor things that did not impact our stay. They would be really easy to fix and would do a lot for overall experience, though.
Amazing weekend getaway with the family. The cabin was cute and cozy, small but big enough for my husband and I and our two small children. One star off for cleanliness because the shower was a little moldy but it has a wood frame and that’s difficult to clean. Not a huge deal. It’s located in a beautiful neighborhood close to everything. No issues with staff. They were friendly and great, and when I called for late checkout, the response was prompt.
This was a cute cabin with all the necessary amenities. It is located in a nice neighborhood not far from downtown Big Bear.
We very much enjoyed our stay at this cozy little cabin! Just the right size for my wife and out two young ones. Easy access to parking for both Snow Summit and Bear Mountain. Perfectly quaint in the way only a mountain cabin can be! The check-in process being a separate location that served everyone at once was a bit tricky, that said the staff were swift and courteous and got us quickly on our way. We would definitely stay here again!
Everything was clean, cozy and exactly as listed. No complaints
