Brookside Cottage, overlooking the renowned Charles Darwin Track and the Jamison Creek, is perfect for one or two couples, or a family of four. It is comfortable, cosy, quiet and peaceful. There are views from almost every room, as well as from the private sundeck, which is equiped with a BBQ. The cottage can sleep up to four in two bedrooms, a queen with an ensuite and a double with a separate adjacent bathroom. The cottage is fully equipped for a relaxed stay. There is a pot belly fire in the living room for that mountains atmosphere. Rest, unwind and enjoy the magnificent National Park Reserve at your doorstep. Brookside Cottage provides easy access to Charles Darwin walking track. This narrow track takes you to the bottom of Weeping Rock, and from here to the top of Wentworth Falls (the start of many other walks including Rocket Point, Undercliff/Overcliff Walk, the National Pass and Wentworth Pass). After a day out and about relax in the foot-claw bath with a glass of your favourite wine.

The abundant bird life can be observed from the wall-size picture window viewing nook, with the gentle sound of the creek in the background. Furthermore, you may wish to read a good book in the secluded outdoor area under the maple tree.

The village centre of Wentworth Falls, with its shops and cafes, is just a leisurely 15-minute-walk (either along the scenic Charles Darwin Track or the more direct Falls Road). There is only a 5-minute-drive to Leura Village, the Everglades and Leura Cascades. Katoomba is a 10-minute-drive away, with its many tourist attractions such as the famous Three Sisters, Echo Point, Scenic World and of course the bush walking tracks.

Brookside cottage is a mere 90-minute-drive from Sydney. This unique cottage is the perfect location to explore and enjoy everything the magnificent World Heritage Blue Mountains area has to offer.

A very comfortable, very well equipped property. Plenty of firewood for the stove. Lovely outlook across Jamison Creek, and easy access to spectacular local hiking trails. Interesting birds in the garden, including buff banded rail and brown cuckoo dove.

This place was truly amazing!! The ambience, the views, the wood fire and wonderful deep bath made it just divine to stay here. They also had lots of toys and books for children which was greatly appreciated!!

We were very comfortable. The wood fire keeps the house nice and warm. Lovely place to sit and watch the river with a book and a cuppa. Host was very quick to respond. The steps to a beautiful walk are just outside the gate.

We enjoyed staying at Tien’s property - it’s a cosy and cute house right on the edge of the waterfall walk. Tien was wonderful to communicate with and the house was clean and as advertised. Highly recommend!

Lovely position with walks directly from house. Unfortunately we were there at a very wet time which obviously meant our enjoyment was less than it would have been if it had been dry and sunny. But a beautiful spot.

This place is a hidden gem.It was very hot when we went but the many fans and windows kept us cool. The walking track it literally just at the door step, we sat and watched the creek for hours through the picture book window, what a great feature for this place. The front and backyard was lust and shady, perfect for someone who admires plants.I must say we will be coming back for many years to come, just such a peaceful place you can call home for you holiday!

For easy reading, I’ll split this into pros and cons. However, to be clear, none of the cons would ever keep us from staying at this lovely cottage again. It’s just good to make your decision based on having all the info. PROS - Location Perfect location! Walk out the front door to Darwin’s walking trail which meets up with several other trail heads. Train station is an 18 min walk. CONS- Only a very small boutique market in town. You’ll need to take a bus or drive to Leura or Katoomba for a supermarket. Decor/Furnishings: PROS- Eclectic country. The beds and couches were comfortable, the showers were great, the kitchen had all the amenities needed, board games & DVDs, WIFI! CONS- Decor also gave a thrift store vibe but eventually grew on me. The living room carpet is badly damaged by guests who didn’t know how to handle a potbelly furnace. Carpet had many 2-4” burns. I would suggest posting instructions or just not letting guests use it rather than risk burning down this special place. Property: PROS- The garden was beautifully landscaped with cute sitting spaces. The sitting nook inside overlooked a bird feeder, the creek, and Darwin’s trail. We sat here for hrs. Two porches, one in front and one in back with a picnic table. Atrium lounge in back with reading couch. Laundry room parking! CONS- the long driveway is a very steep decline without space to turn around so we had to back out. Park at the top of the driveway to remove that stress. 50 ft. walk.

We had a great experience of staying at Brookside. communication was easy, directions good and check-in flowed. We had a great time and the house was clean, had everything we needed and was serene. It had beautiful views and lovely walks nearby. It was close to Katoomba but much more peaceful. Thanks Tien.
