Beautiful log home in the Bridger Mountains. Mountain views, hot tub, and nearby skiing and hiking and mountain biking. A perfect place to unwind and encourage creativity.
Beautifully situated 3 bdrm, 2 ba. home tucked among the pines on mountainous 26 acres with a spacious wrap around deck.
Four wheel drive vehicle with good tires is required in winter.

A cozy yet commodious ski chalet, hunters lodge, hiking or mountain biking base, summer writing and reflecting retreat, orfly fishing cabin. Mule deer, white tail, elk, raccoon, and moose are routinely sighted on the property. Brackett Creek, a shallow trout stream with browns and cutthroat and rainbow, meanders through the property.

A one mile driveway leads up from Skunk Creek Road to the house, nestled in a protected draw of the heart of Bridger Canyon, with views of the Crazies and the Bridgers all around. FOUR WHEEL DRIVE IS A MUST IN THE WINTER!

Just 15 minutes away is Bridger Bowl, a fabulous family-style ski area that also guards the secret of one of the most challenging expert powder ridges in the west. 90 minutes away is the more well-known Big Sky Ski Resort. Equidistant is Yellowstone National Park, one of the nation's greatest summer attractions but one which is open, as beautiful and far less crowded in the winter season as well.

And the summer in the Bozeman area offers rodeos, arts, music, farmer's markets and dance festivals as well as wide open main streets of some of the most charming and genuinely friendly small Western towns you'd find anywhere.

This Non-Smoking, Log Home features three living levels, all with spectacular mountain and nature views. A light and very comfortable interior including three bedrooms, two baths. There is a fully-equipped kitchen with a working antique gas stove, plus all modern built-in appliances such as microwave and dishwasher. A wood-burning stove warms the air in this relaxing retreat.

The main floor bath has an oversize antique clawfoot tub. Large sliding glass doors welcome you out onto the 1500 square foot of exterior deck and up the landscaped walkway to your private hot tub, where you can enjoy the countless stars of the Milky Way on a cool spring or autumn night, or the gentle snowfall of a crisp night of winter after a full day of skiing.

My friends and I had the most lovely time at this beautiful and cozy mountain retreat. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds are comfortable, the location is second to none, and the hot tub makes it just the perfect place to get away. The three of us had a plan to stay in pjs, read books, and do puzzles - mission accomplished. An added bonus - a light dusting of snow to really drive home the cozy. We would stay again without question. Thanks, Katherine!!

We had a great time at the cabin. Very cozy and remote. We saw elk and deer everyday driving near the cabin or at the cabin. A bit far from Yellowstone (80 min) if you are driving everyday. This did not bother us as the drive was part of the trip. The weather can be crazy. First day we were under a winter storm warning and saw snow flakes in late June. The rest of the week was perfect, having cool mornings and warm afternoons. This was our second time staying here and we just love the relaxing atmosphere it provides.

Nice location. Away from everyone. Quiet. Deer and a moose visited us. A bit of a drive from Bozeman -30 min but that’s what we were looking for

Katherine’s home is gorgeous and peaceful. 5 of us stayed in the home comfortably. One negative note is that there was a fly problem while we were there. The good news, they mostly stayed by the big porch door/window and did not invade our space while eating. It was more of an annoyance and eye sore. There are bug traps if it becomes a big problem. Probably also a seasonal issue. This shouldn’t deter any future guests. I personally would stay again.

Cannot say enough about the beauty of this property and its surroundings. House was very clean and comfortable. Spending time sitting out on the porch watching the sunrise was amazing. We had a family of deer (mom and 2 babies) that visited us almost every morning!!! Amenities were plentiful and we needed for nothing while there. Not a bad drive in/out of the Bozeman and surrounding areas. Would highly recomment this property if you are looking to visit the beautiful state. The only thing that was not in the description of the property is that there is a tenant in the studio building at the bottom of the driveway. As this did not bother us, it would have been good to know if you are looking for solidarity while staying at this property.

We loved the drive out to the cabin and the view once we got there. Tons of wildlife. Deer, fox, rabbits, chipmunks. I think we happened into a moth hatch as there were thousands of them out at all times of the day. No problem just really weird to see so many. We will still come back. Thx for a place and nice beds.
