Box House Boca Ciega - Unique Beachfront Container Home

Perfect spot to stay and explore the island. Set south of town, this place is the perfect way to have relaxing evenings outside the busier san pedro. Short golf cart ride to anywhere (make sure you rent one, you'll need it). Beautiful property with all the amenities you'd need. Host was very responsive and helpful. Wonderful stpot to enjoy both the sunrise and sunset (in February, anyway). Stop looking and just book this one, you won't regret it!

This is a great place to stay in San Pedro! The house was clean and had some wonderful air conditioning. The host was also very helpful, providing us with many options to improve our experience should we need it.

Loved the views, the dock, and the wildlife. Road to the house is a little rough but safe. Had a very relaxing time.

The Box House was everything we hoped for: gorgeous views, comfortable, and clean. Communication was great both before and during our trip. They helped us book our golf cart and our snorkeling trip. We very much enjoyed our stay there.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great location close to town but out of congested zone. Host was very accommodating and responsive. Very private and directly on the water with own dock. I would highly recommend the Box House.

We last visited Ambergris Caye for a family scuba diving trip in 2018 with our 2 adult children so to celebrate my wife's retirement we decided to return for another dive trip but this time without the kids. The Box House was perfect for the two of us. The box house is unique, two freight containers side by side mounted on concrete pilings on its own private beach. The side facing the ocean consists of large sliding glass doors that afford an unobstructed view of the ocean and lead out onto a narrow balcony that is perfect for enjoying a drink and game of cards or backgammon in the afternoon after a day of diving. The kitchen is small but perfectly adequate for our needs. King size bed was comfortable with views to the ocean. Bathroom and shower clean and worked as expected. Anyone staying here will need to rent a golf cart and the house is about 20-25 minutes from San Pedro. The road, especially the unmade part, is pretty bumpy but really this is all part of the fun of being away from the main vacation areas further north. The house manager, Jessi Betancourt, arranged a golf cart rental for us prior to arrival and we were met at the airport by the rental agent. We dove with Belize Pro Divers who I highly recommend. They picked us up in the morning and dropped us off after the dive at the dock that extends out from the Box House beach.The Box House was perfect for our stay and I look forward to staying there again on our next trip.

We really enjoyed the privacy of the rental! We booked massages, Tropic air tickets, and a golf cart through Jessi, the guest experience manager and it helped so much! We even needed to make a change to our return flights to BZE and Jessi took care of it immediately. Just to be forewarned the property is a bit far from everything so a golf cart is an absolute necessity. It takes about 15 mins to get to town via golfcart but there are some restaurants closer. There are power issues and we had several power outages, one was 14 hours (no fault of the property owner, just be aware) we happened to bring a flashlight which turned out to be very helpful! The only thing that was missing was a full length mirror, the mirror in the bathroom is pretty tall so I wasn't able to see my outfits. When it was clear weather you can see the boats at the Hol Chan Marine reserve and see Caye Caulker. There are Pelicans fishing off the dock all day which we enjoyed watching.

Place is nice. Description was accurate. It’s a little far from town, so you should get a golf cart. Manager was very helpful with pointing us in the right direction for golf cart rentals and other activities.

Great stay Very accommodating hosts Would definitely stay again

Everything was just as advertised in the listing. Great views, beautiful yard the inside was like brand new. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was just perfect. We watched the boats go by in the morning and the waves on the reef. There was even an iguana show everyday in the yard. Beautiful male and his girls. All in all it was a perfect location for privacy and all access to the island. Jessi our liaison was very attentive to all our needs and made everything easy. We thank you for such a wonderful house.
