Jamestown, New York
Welcome to Chautauqua Lakes best hidden Gem, Celeron NY! Celeron is the home of the original Queen of Comedy, Lucille Ball. This 2 bedroom home sleeps 6 comfortably. With Outdoor deck and grill. Plenty of parking for cars AND boats. Just a short walk to fine dining at Harbor Hotel and Veterans park. Which offers a public boat launch, pavilion area, and playground. Also hosts the famous Rib fest. Use our provided kayaks OR rent a boat across the street at one of or many local Marinas.
Property is as advertised. Very clean and has everything you need. Was a perfect place for us to stay for a long weekend of fishing on the lake. Boat ramp is literally across the street.
Perfect place to stay for the wedding we attended at the nearby hotel.
This place is so cute. We loved it and will definitely recommend to family and friends. We had a mild inconvenience with the grill ( it was out of propane) but we managed without it.
We were very happy that windows had already been opened and fans turned on. The bedrooms on the 2nd floor would have been quite warm otherwise. The beds are double beds, not twins as listed. The kitchen was well-equipped. The only thing missing was a cookie or baking sheet but we made do. We bought supplies at Wegman's, west of Celoron. Their ready-made meals are worth the cost. I loved having a washer and dryer. The bathroom is on the 1st floor; soap and shampoo is provided. The only negative is the view. We faced the back of a commercial boat yard and the house across was missing some of its siding. The house next door, however, had a beautiful garden. The distance into Jamestown was short and easy. I was glad we were staying outside town. Fishermen or outdoors folks won't mind the view, but it's not quite a romantic spot. A few pictures on the walls wouldn't hurt.
Perfect place to stay for any angler staying in Chautauqua.
House was clean amenities were available wish garage door key was available also contained fire pit and air conditioning was available otherwise would recommend highly
We enjoyed the area on bike and boat. Plenty of room to put both a truck and boat ( apart from trailer in the driveway. Very small house, but for our purposes very adequate!!
The title says it all, really: Cons: The listing says it will sleep 6, but only if 2 or 3 of those 6 are under 5 foot tall. After we checked in (early Saturday, thanks, Eric!), the outside trash bins were full, and stayed that way until we took them to the curb on Tuesday. Pros: The property manager was good (despite the trash thing).... While we were there, we had a plumbing problem with the bathroom sink , and it was solved quickly. If nothing else, the living room was spacious
It was good coulda been cleaner under the furniture and around it other than that was good
Very cozy stay, good access to amenities. Fit perfectly for what me and my buddy needed for the weekend.
Very quaint home close to beautiful Lake Chautauqua. Quiet neighborhood. It was as advertised and i had a really nice stay. Would stay here again.
My husband and i stayed here while we toured everything Lucille Ball. The house was very clean and so well supplied. It was very quiet. I highly recommend this for your stay!!!!
This property was perfect for what we needed. Property was clean. Plenty of space for us. Would recommend!
Property is small, but as described.
We found the property to be clean, comfortable and properly equipped, but it lacked small touches like a few pieces of furniture and pictures on the walls which would make it warmer and homier. We enjoyed our stay and the property was located perfectly for fishing, exploring the history of the area or visiting local wineries near Lake Erie.
The house was clean and recently renovated. The first problem was the listing uis for 2 baths, there is only 1. Part of renting this property was for the 2 baths. The kitchen was infested with carpenter ants made worse when there was any food products put into the garbage can. There was a bumblebee hive under the stairs facing the side street under the front deck which is a tough one given the state of bee populations. The neighborhood was not the nicest and the nextdoor neighbor ran a chainsaw 2 evenings in a row. It didn't bother us but if your looking for quiet you might not find it here. Overall the place wasn't too bad but there was definitely a few issues.
quiet area, shows AC on site plan but doesnt have, need ac on upper floor, nice place to stay
The house was just as advertised. Very clean upon arrival and plenty of room to park the truck and boat. We will definitely be renting again.
Had a great stay for the weekend! Close to a lot of things. Wish there were window fans to better cool down, otherwise we made it work!
We had a great stay
We went for a 4 day weekend. It was great! The place is clean. Down the street from lake. Walk from restaurant. Jamestown is nearby. We will certainly return. Lovely cottage.
