The great room has plenty of space to gather in the cozy living area to watch some movies, dining with seating for eight and a view of the canal, and a well-equipped kitchen to prepare some delicious meals. When you're ready to retire for the evening find comfort in the top-level king ensuite with a canal view and on the lower level a queen bedroom with a loveseat and canal view and for the kids, they will love the pyramid bunk bed room with a trundle and all bedrooms have a TV. Blue Water House is dog-friendly so bring them along to enjoy an OBX vacation too!

All reservations are offered to purchase travel insurance for an additional 7.75% of your rent and taxes. Please refer to the rental agreement you will be signing to accept or decline this coverage as your refund in the time of cancellation will be dependent on your acceptance in most situations. All guests must sign and return a rental agreement before reservations are confirmed. Payment for travel insurance, if accepted, will be processed upon receipt of this signed agreement.

Standard cancellation policy is: CANCELLATION POLICY and SUBSTITUTIONS - Any changes, including changing dates, switching of properties, or complete cancellations will invoke the cancellation policy. Agent recommends all Renters purchase travel insurance offered at time of booking to protect them in the event of an unexpected event affecting their vacation. Agent cannot offer future credits or immediate refunds for unexpected cancellations due to emergencies regardless of the situation, including but not limited to weather events and acts of God, unexpected illnesses, injury or death, changing of plans, or job loss. Please do not ask. All cancellations are subject to a fifty dollar ($50.00) cancellation fee. Cancellations must be submitted to Agent in writing (email is acceptable). In the event of cancellation, no refund of monies paid will be made unless the Property is re-rented for the same price and time period of this original vacation rental agreement. If the Property is re-rented for a lesser price or time period, the original Tenant will receive a refund for the difference between the originally agreed upon rental amount and the rebooked rental amount as Owner is entitled to receive the full amount of the original rental agreement. Agent will make every effort to re-rent the Property at the full amount. Tenant acknowledges that Agent has full discretion on negotiating rental rates in an effort to get the Property re-rented and make the Owner whole, while also attempting to get the Tenant the highest refund possible.

    For a house that sleeps 6, only 1 of the beds was comfortable.The king bedroom only had a headboard leaning against the wall and the footboard sticking out from the bottom of the bed.The double bed with bunk was so uncomfortable, we needed to set up our own air mattress.In addition, for a house that sleeps 6, there should be enough towel racks for 6 towels to be hung up to dry.Living room and kitchen were spacious and well equipped.

    The location of this rental is amazing. It is in the heart of kill devil hills and we were so close to everything, including the beach! The back dock was great, the neighborhood was beautiful and quiet. Very peaceful stay. The only recommendations we have is to change out the fridge- it would not close all the way and we had to force it shut. The sheets had stains on them as well, so maybe updating those. Other than that, it was perfect and we plan to stay again!

    We had such a great time! There was a problem with one of the TV’s downstairs and the maintenance man showed up quick to fix the problem. The house is located in a good spot close to multiple shops, food places, and the canal out back was the best part. Our favorite places to eat were Dune Street Raw Bar and Grill, Millers Waterfront Restaurant, and McGraths Burger Shack. We will definitely be going back!

    This was a quick stay after the holidays to visit our daughter that lives in the neighborhood. The house was easy to find, clean, and the kitchen well appointed. The ONLY drawback was that the yard is not fenced for pets - which would be lovely.

    Good location to get to everything. House was clean and spacious. We enjoyed our stay. Would really love to have the option to recycle next time. The trash bags filled up pretty quickly with two kids.

    A perfect location for our family. We rented bikes and biked around the property. The drive to the beach was short, easy, and sweet. The property was great!
