Plymouth, Vermont
House is on Plymouth Notch (formerly Roundtop Mountain), a private ski area only open on weekends. If you are skiing Plymouth Notch as a member or guest, it is an easy walk to the trail - literally across the street. Killington and Okemo are each about 9 miles away. Farm & Wilderness camp is a few miles up Rt. 100.
Townhouse (looks like a condo) has three small bedrooms downstairs, plus a bathroom with a tub. Upstairs is a slightly larger bedroom, a kitchen/dining/living area, a bathroom with a shower and a deck. The road deadends at the top of the mountain so traffic is minimal, views are nice and the area is quiet. Lots of lakes, rivers and streams nearby, outdoor tennis court, and it is always available. Short walk to the Catamount Trail.
That's the good. It was built around 1970, if you know what that means in ski condo archeticture. We bought it several years ago and have been working hard updating and improving. It is definitely still a work in progress. All the dark paneling, shag rugs and avocado appliances are gone. There is a Vermont Castings woodstove in the living/dining area and the bathrooms have heated tile floors. The floors upstairs are new maple; downstairs is carpeted.
The appliances in the kitchen are good and the cabinets and countertops are new.
There is a washer and dryer, linens in the closet and staples in the kitchen.
I know this is a B&B website, but this place is really just a house rental. So you'll have to cook your own breakfast and no cookies in the afternoon, but you won't have to see me there either.
Wonderful place! Well appointed with comfy beds and everything you could possibly need. Even a canoe. The area is nice and quiet, but convenient to Ludlow, Plymouth, Woodstock. Absolutely would stay here again!
Went to World Cup Races. Great place. Dog friendly and just overall nice place to stay. Phil was great host. Very comfortable.
This is perfect if you like to walk. We walked to the top of the mountain for the beautiful view and walked up the hill several times. The area is perfectly populated and is close to our kids’ day camp. We loved the deck in the trees. The house is clean and well managed with plenty of towels and good showers. The windows let i. The cool summer air.
Nice spot, close to Killington.
second time staying at Phils beautifull condo! We love it here! Everything is perfect the heated bathroom floors and wood stove are to die for, and very close to Killington. Phils the nicest guy around, great communication! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
The property was great for our group of 3 adults and 3 kids. Plenty of space, good location and outfitted with the supplies we needed. The upstairs is even a bit more updated than the photos suggested and was very comfortable for post-skiing dinner and relaxing. The heated bathroom floors were great and the individual room thermostats were very effective and flexible for everyone. We would definitely recommend it.
Property was clean, views were stunning. Near Woodstock, Killington and Ludlow. It was hot and humid the week we were there, luckily we brought fans with us. Otherwise, we had a GREAT stay!. Phil was very helpful too.
20 min drive to base area. Nice size house and very clean. Get set of games as well.
This was the perfect location for a weekend of hiking and leaf peeping. Beds were super comfy and appreciated being able to bring our dog.
Enjoyed the location and always grateful for owners who will accept pets. ?
