Best Deal in Concan! Luxury Lodge, 3 Minutes 2 River, Mountain & Valley View!

This house is gorgeous! The layout is amazing! It allowed the young adults in our group to socialize without disturbing the older adults! The decor is easily one of the best we have seen and we have stayed in a LOT of vacation rentals! The porch is seriously amazing! We found the location to be perfectly situated for all things we love to do at the Frio. We are Texas Parks annual pass holders so we booked reservations at Garner for each day of our stay! It’s the perfect place to hang in the river! The cons of this home are few but to assist others when booking here they are! We chose to bring our own linens. The listing is not accurate listing twin bunk beds in the rooms. What is actually in the rooms are twin over full beds (which we thought was amazing) but could pose an issue when bringing your own linens! As other reviewers stated the A/C is inadequate in one bedroom upstairs and in one bedroom downstairs. We made a quick trip to Family Dollar and purchased fans to make the rooms slightly more bearable. Another issue we found was there was one garbage bag provided, one roll of paper towels, and one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom for our 6 night stay. The hand soaps were empty and no dish soap was provided. These things aren’t deal breakers but would have been nice to know ahead of time since things are pricey to purchase in Concan. We really enjoyed our stay at this property and would definitely book here again!

The cabin was perfect for our family of eight. The large deck and campfire area were an added bonus. We stayed three nights and had a great time. The Frio was too low to float but we were able to swim and hike at Garner State Park. The hike up Old Baldy was outstanding and the Frio Bat Cave was amazing. I highly recommend the Rustic Retreat.

We enjoyed the spacious and clean cabin. The outdoor patio was an added bonus. It was a relaxing place to hang out with the family.

We enjoyed a three night stay. The Frio Fun team was very responsive in terms of clarifying our questions. They manage over 30 homes in the area and know the market well! Enjoyed smores on the outdoor fire pit, star gazing (even saw a Starlink Train!), giant jenga on the porch, foosball matches inside, and delicious food prepared on the grill and spacious kitchen. This is a well built well maintained unit at a competitive price to market!

This property has a great location. Super close to everything you need on River Rd. It is stocked with the basic necessities. Plenty of space for everyone. Some of the other reviews mentioned the a/c not keeping up. There are notes near each thermostat telling you exactly how low you can go with the temp. I’m 51. 72 is warm for me but the other guests were ok. We were also on the river during hottest parts of the day. It cooled down nicely at night. ?

Enjoyed the size of the house.

We had a great trip - the water was low and we were unable to float but so it goes in Texas draughts. The cabin was great for our group of 12, rare that each of us can get a bed. The downside was having to bring our own sheets, towels, etc. Outside of that we had a great time!

This place was amazing. It was so beautiful inside and outside. Our entire party of 18 had such a great time! Home was very spacious and the river is not too far at all. Everyone we ran into at nearby stores had great hospitality. We are definitely going back next year!
