Stayed Mar 12, 2021Host didn’t provide door code until two hours after check-in time. WiFi passcode wasn’t provided until 4 hrs after check-in, network name was never provided. Home smelled musty and was dingy and dirty. Couch was broken and could not be utilized as a sleeping spot. No hand soap in the bathroom, dirty q-tips found behind a mirror in the hall. Carbon monoxide alarm batter was dying so it kept beeping all night while we tried to sleep. Flimsy side table in the living room tipped over when we put an item on it. The ad to this home says Padre Island is 45 min away and it is actually an hour and a half away. Bedroom tv remote was missing. Dining table booth bench was torn and duct taped together. We left feeling like we couldn’t get out of there fast enough and like we wasted so much money on such a filthy property rented to us by a host who didn’t even communicate enough to provide us with the basics of what we paid for. I took photos of everything. We will never be staying here ever again. We were in town for my son’s (who just passed away) birthday party and we just wanted a comfortable place for the weekend and this only added to the stress of this already difficult and stressful time.
