My wife and I brought our three kids (14, 12, and 10) up for a long weekend. Check in was perfect and the house was so comfortable. We really enjoyed the views and the fireplace. We went skiing, cooked, played games, and had a great time. The master bedroom didn’t have the sleigh bed that is advertised, but the rooms were spacious, the beds comfy, and we really had a blast. Unfortunately, we had to leave out a day early due to an incoming winter storm on the mountain and at our home in TN.
Property was clean and cozy! Great location!
Great place to get away and relax. Clean and convenient. Family was able to spread out, but also connect.
We love Beech Mountain and have stayed several times in various cabins. This one is close to the top of our list of faves! I'll go ahead and address the very few negatives I noticed...STAIRS. If you have mobility issues AT ALL (pregnant, little kids, older...) you will struggle here. Lots of steps up to go inside the cabin, and the spiral staircase is a BEAST inside between the 2 levels. Very narrow steps, very narrow in width (heavier guests will be uncomfortable here) and super steep. Those things aside, very cute inside! Super clean and well appointed, though pics are a bit deceptive as far as size of common areas. Our family of 4 is perfectly comfortable BUT if we all wanted to sit and chat together, we'll need to all go downstairs to the living area there. My teens love that fact and have commandeered the top level as their own lol. Beds are memory foam and very supportive but comfy! Furniture well kept. Kitchen spotless and well stocked. 2 decks are relaxing with nice views. Bathrooms were spotless upon check in and plenty of towels. In addition to the standard beds in the listing, we also found a roll away bed available, plus an air mattress and additional mattress under one bed. Games, books, DVD's and PS3 plus games are available in the property! No need to get bored here lol. We would definitely book again, even with the stairs! *side note, I'm the only one who seems to think the stairs are scary in our group, so this may not be an issue for your group, but is worth noting for certain people*
The house was awesome. There was a few things broken when we got there. We tired to help them fix it but didn’t want to make it worse. But other than that it was overall a great stay and we had a blast!!
Great location and property! ?
Delightful
This is our third time staying here. We love the home, the location, and it has all the amenities (kitchen needs, plenty of sleeping room, fireplaces, WiFi for activity planning and rainy weather binge watching. We've already booked our ski weekend for Jan 2023. Beware the dryer: there is no lint trap installed so it can be Thunderdome with socks (even expensive hiking ones) where 2 go in but only 1 come out. Wish I had noticed it before running some laundry.
The place was very clean. The decor was tasteful. There are 2 fireplaces that are woodburning but didn't realize that we had to go find our own firewood. We knew that the staircase was spiral but didn't realize how narrow and steep it was. Wouldn't recommend to people who are large or are older than 60. Also wouldn't recommend for young children. Beech Mountain is beautiful and sitting out on either deck is delightful. Many nice places to eat and plenty of hiking trails. A very relaxing visit.
Everything was great but the spiral staircase was annoying as the only way between the first and second floor inside. Then there's the master bedroom the furnace intake is running nonstop in this room;and new mattress was hard as a rock.
