This 16' diameter dome sits on a raised wooden platform in a secluded wooden area, overlooking Church Pond and the Atlantic Ocean. It has a double bed and chairs to sit and look out of the bay window. Half the roof is a skylight, so the star gazing is wonderful. There's no electricity or source of heat, but battery powered lanterns are provided. The bathroom is a short walk away; there is also an outhouse a few steps from the dome.

The dome itself was lovely and well situated on the water. The bed was uncomfortable, but the linens were clean. I was very disappointed in the facilities. I have no issues with using a pit toilet, however you must provide some running water for guests. The only way I was able to fill up water bottles was to ask the people at the lodge to go into the kitchen to fill my water bottles. I was also incredibly disgusted by the showers at Cabot Shores. We were first directed to use the showers in the activity center, however they did not have any hot running water. We next tried the shower located outside the staff house. It was incredibly dirty and smelly and not usable. The shower in the lodge was not much better, with hair and dirt all over the floor of the bathroom. If you're only going to provide guests on the property with a couple showers to choose from, they definitely should be cleaned regularly. The breakfast is sub-par and not worth the expense of the meager options they provide when there are other restaurants a short distance away with delicious food. Overall, a cool experience to stay in a geodesic dome in a beautiful location, but definitely wayyyy overpriced for the services provided.
