This is our second year staying at this home. We love it. Two large bedrooms with two large bathrooms works out well for my parents to travel with us. The smaller room is large with two twin beds. The home is clean and well stocked. The layout provides comfort for all parties. The backyard is beautiful and has provided us with many outside meals. Great access to the beach club and Harbor Town.

This property is in a great location in Sea Pines. We stayed with our dog. The back yard was perfect. My dog is older and does not see well, all of the area rugs in the house were perfect for her. The home was clean and well stocked. We had some questions about bikes at the house. Erin, our property manager, was prompt at getting back to us and keeping us informed of what we needed to know. We have stayed in Sea Pines 3-4x/year for the past 3 years and this is by far the best experience with the management company. Only recommendations would be to pressure wash the deck and outside furniture. We used the gas grill but were not able to sit outside. The property manager did offer to come and clean the area, we decided we did not want them to come. Other suggestion is in the 2nd bathroom (btween the 2 rooms) could use a handle in the tub to get in and out of the tub. My elderly mother stayed with us and it was difficult for her to get in and out of the tub with nothing to hold onto. Over all a great place to stay. We will book this home again.

This is a great house! The owners were gracious enough to open the house to dogs and I am thankful because it meant we could take our dog with us. The house is a little dated but fairly clean and has a great big deck and back yard. We did not use the hot tub. A couple of things that should be noted: there are pee stains on the master bedroom carpet. I would have thought that since we pay a fee for bringing our pets that that would have been taken care of before we arrived; the vent in the bathroom does not work; the bed in the master bedroom is soft and uncomfortable. But overall a great house. I would consider returning for our week in HH next year if the bed is replaced!

This is the second time I booked this property. Last year, the property was a little dirty (IE: dust, dirty vents, spider webs), but I chose to ignore it as we didn't spend much time in the house, and the issues were small. This year, all of the issues we noticed last year were amplified (probably never addressed, and we encountered a laundry list of other issues. The issues we had were as follows: 1: Mold throughout the master bathroom shower 2: Disgusting hot tub (algae growing/filled with sand) 3: Vents that have not been cleaned in years (absolutely disgusting) 4: Spider webs in nearly every corner of every room (fell on us multiple times/ran into them when walking through doorways) 5: Roach feces all over the fireplace mantle 6: A dirty tissue on the living room carpet 7: Water damage and mold above the main entry 8: A rotted-out step to the trash room (safety hazard) 9: A broken dryer machine 10: Second bathroom shower did not drain 11: Bag of dog feces grown into shrubbery next to the front door 12: Windows covered in grime (not cleaned in years) 13: Trees/plants/vines growing out of the roof/gutters 14: Moss (slipping hazard) covering the brick patio by the hot tub 15: Multiple lights that were burned out/never replaced 16: Dead bugs in multiple light fixtures 17: Old food crusted to the inside of kitchen cabinets 18: A water filter in the fridge that is outdated/never replaced (1 year) 19: Old dog treats behind furniture I was extremely disappointed that the house was not just dirty when we arrived but neglected. None of these issues cropped up in the last few days. Some of them have been ignored for weeks, months, and quite possibly years. I contacted Vacasa about the big issues and was told they would be addressed. The mold in the bathroom shower was cleaned the day after we arrived (nearly 24 hours after check-in). The hot tub was cleaned 6 days after we arrived (the day before we left). We were told the vents would be cleaned, and the spider webs removed, but they never were. We had to live in the house for the week dodging spider webs, watching dust fall down from filthy vents, and breathing in roach feces from the fireplace mantle. I read a few other reviews on the site for this property and noticed some of these issues were present with other renters (IE: dryer, rotten step, etc.). I requested a refund for the $900+ I paid to Vacasa in 'fees' as they obviously did not clean the property prior to our arrival or clean it in a timely fashion/address the concerns we had while we were there. Sadly, they only gave me a portion of the 'fee' charge back. Given the state of the property, I was not happy with the refund. They did not deserve any of the 'fees' that I paid to them given the state of the property upon our arrival or the lack of service for our complaints/concerns. I also requested money back from the property reservation itself as we could not use amenities listed for the property that we paid for: hot tub, dryer, guest bathroom shower, but Vacasa ignored my phone calls and my emails. No one should pay for amenities listed on the site and then not be able to use them. I am not happy with the service provided, the lack of reimbursement for not cleaning the property/addressing our issues, and the inability to use the amenities we paid for. I gave Vacasa a chance to make it right, but they ignored my concerns/complaints and my request for a fair refund (I was told I would be getting a larger refund when I spoke to them on the phone while staying at the property, but this appears to have been a lie). I will never use their services again, nor will I ever book this property again. If you choose to book this property, I caution you. It may be disgusting and unkempt when you arrive. If you try to have your issues addressed, they may not be. Renter beware.

While the house holds a lot of potential and the location is great, it definitely is in need of a lot of TLC. Overall the house did not feel very clean, Vents are covered in layers of dust and dirt, cockroaches were found several times in the house and we had to throw a lot of food away after waking up to ants in the kitchen. The toilet broke in the master and it wasn’t fixed for four days. We were not provided the door code in the welcome email. Lots of hiccups renting with Vacasa and we will not do it again.

We had a good stay in a beautiful house. I would recommend it to others but there are a few things that need to be done. First an exterminator needs to be called on a regular basis. Second all the air filters need to be changed. They are bad. Also the water filter in the refrigerator needs to be changed. The home is beautiful but a deeper cleaning and regular maintenance needs to be implemented. Jody W

The property was generally good, but it needed additional cleaning above eye level. There were tons of cobwebs hanging from the ceilings and windows that had obviously been there a very long time. We were unable to use the beautiful deck because it was so dirty, even after the debris was blown off. It needs a good deep cleaning. The shower head in the 2nd bath needs replaced as it gave very little water. The drier made a terrible noise while running and should be looked at. The bedding on the 2 king beds obviously need to be replaced as they was very dirty looking and had holes. The lamps on the nightstands in the master bedroom have holes burned into the insides of the lamp shades. They need replaced and should have LED bulbs that burn cooler. The box spring on the one twin bed is stained very badly and should be replaced. I certainly wouldn’t want to sleep on that bed - don’t just put a dust ruffle on it. The steps going into the garbage can location are rotted and need replaced because someone is going to get hurt very badly. There was no information as to when garbage would be picked up or that there would be someone coming to care for the hot tub and the lawn. It would just be nIce to know that since most of the windows are without window coverings. We killed several roaches. Upon arriving after dark, it would be helpful to have a motion detector light come on because we actually had to go back to our vehicle to get flashlights in order to get into the property. The vertical blinds have many slats missing; the mini blinds are very dirty; the windows all need washed. It took our husbands hours to try to figure out how the TV remotes worked. There should be instructions how work them. We wanted them to operate but it took time away from our vacation time just for those to be figured out. I’m glad we did not have six people because there is no private bathroom for the third bedroom and no closet! There are only three chairs in the kitchen. For a million dollar property, it certainly did not meet our expectations. I will say, our contact with your company was very helpful. He kept in contact and handled most of what he could do by making it right. Some of the things I mentioned are not within his realm of duties, but are things the property owner should address. We have rented other homes on HHI and I must say this house is at the bottom of our list, but not because of the associate . Like I said, he was very helpful.
