Saint Ignace, Michigan
This house is the perfect getaway to beautiful downtown St. Ignace, looking overtop of the town with a great view of Mackinaw Island. The boat trips, restaurants and stores are all within walking distance making this location convenient and close to all the action ! There is a nice front deck to cookout and enjoy the sun while watching ships sail into the great lakes. This house also is right above little bear where events are held year round and the trails begin entering the u.p.
The house was just the right size for us. Everything was clean and updated. And the location could not have been better. We did not spend a lot of time at the house, however, because the weather was so beautiful and we had lots to see! It was our first trip to the UP and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
Good location, easy access and very nice property.
The cabin was very comfortable. Beds, pillows and linens good, though one bed was a smaller size than expected. No air mattress was available, and no fan for the 2nd bedroom in the non central AC home. Night time temperatures were cool enough fortunately. The dining table and chairs, and especially the wood finished ceiling were wonderful. The room air fresheners were overpowering, and it took more than 12 hours with many open windows to clear the smell. A note through vrbo to the owner on the night of arrival was never answered, and no telephone contact was available. Luckily, one of the adults did not come so the double bed sufficed for the ten year old and an adult.
This property is very nice with recent renovations. It was comfortable, well stocked, and a perfect place for our visit to St Ignace.
We had a great time and the host was great! I highly recommend and we will be back next year if not sooner❤️
Great place with a convenient location. We had a wonderful time.
We had an amazing time here, would definitely stay here again. Very good location, close to everything. Owner of the property was great too! 10 out of 10!
We are native Floridians and we have heard so much about the UP of Michigan and it was time to explore:). This house was a perfect starting place. The house was very comfortable with a nice front porch on a quiet road looking down on Lake Huron through the trees. The Main Street is a five minute walk that leads you to the Ojibwa Museum where Marquette is buried…(worth the visit, gardens in the summer are beautiful, don’t miss the metal sculptures west of the church). Easy access to the ferry for Mackinac Island… a must. Highly recommend this house.
