Stayed Jul 1, 2022Michelle was a very good host and took care of any of any issues that we had. A very nice location and wish that I could have stayed longer. Will definitely stay there again if we make it back to LA.

Stayed Jun 10, 2022Overall we had a wonderful experience! The location is perfect - super close to major retailers, and other highlights such as Disneyland or Laguna Beach, etc. It's in a great, safe neighborhood with plenty of walking and running spaces, and a playground nearby too. The parking garage was super easy to operate and coming and going was seamless. We especially appreciated the high chair, bunk beds, and crib available for kids. We traveled from abroad via LAX and also appreciated arriving to find plenty of toilet tissue and paper towels, as well as other great amenities such as shampoo, soap and other basics like a bit of laundry detergent. That being said, little things were a bit frustrating. All cleaning supplies, I assume, are either kept with the housekeeper or locked away. I requested access to a vacuum which took a few days to acquire and even then it didn't work. There is a large bottle of vinegar available which I was able to use for cleaning, but I found it really frustrating to be on my hands and knees cleaning the floors and tabletops with paper towels and a concoction of vinegar I whipped up in the absence of any cleaning items. For short-term visits, this may not be an issue, but we stayed for 2 weeks with a 15-month-old, so a vacuum and basic cleaning items would have been very much appreciated! I did read previous messages people posted about the ledge/stair in the living room, and the neighbors. The stair is one small step once you enter the home (which is probably where the photographer stood when taking the photos). It does blend into the floor, but we did not find it to be a problem. Also, I'm very much under the impression that the neighbors do not appreciate the home being a rental (which is in a gated neighborhood on the golf course). Since our visit was more long-term, we did our best to keep a low profile and be respectful. We did not have any issues, but it does make staying in the home a bit uncomfortable. The only last thing is that a few items are a bit run down. Some kitchen supplies are absent such as measuring spoons (except for one 2 tbsp spoon) and a blender to name a few. But, again we stayed for 2-weeks and found the location and property to be great. If you can get creative, you'll also enjoy your stay!

Stayed May 1, 2021We stayed here for 3 months and enjoyed our stay here. The view from the patio of the golf course is really peaceful and beautiful - you can watch the sunset there. It's within walking distance (~17 min walk) to shops/Target/restaurants, which we found to be really convenient. Heads up that the neighbor had a Trump sign in their window, so do with that info what you will.

Stayed Mar 1, 2020I rented this house for the entire month of March for a business trip. I wanted a home that was safe and clean. This house is not as advertised. 1. Not clean - Had to clean sink and floor upon arrival, asked to have housekeeping come again, weird smell, and children's footprints on the couch. 2. Sliding Glass doors won't open - so full of dirt, that the handyman came and cleaned out the dirt and greased the track. 3. Electrical issues - there is something that trips the circuit and you have to go into each room and reset the breaker. Again the handyman reset the breakers and showed me how to find the one in the garage that also needed to be reset. 4. Outdoor Gas Fireplace - isn't connected to gas. Michelle gave me wood after finding out there was no gas. 5. Foyer step is very dangerous - Dark woodwork and it is hard to see the step. 6. BEES - during my 20 days of stay, I killed 31 bees in the kitchen. I got stung on the bottom of my foot by stepping on one that was embedded in the rug. So being a single female staying in the house - this house did not fit my criteria of being clean or safe. Michelle did attend to each of the items above except the bees. But for the money I spent, I would have expected a nicer place. The main thing is when I told Michelle I was leaving for COVID on March 20, she did not reimburse ONE penny of my stay. So I paid the full price for 11 days. I had even paid extra insurance for some friends coming at the end of the month, which didn't happen either (nor did the reimbursement). She wouldn't respond to my calls or messages. I know it is out of either of our control, but the response I got was not a positive one. I called VRBO and they reimbursed me my service fee but nothing from the owner. I would have even negotiated.

Stayed Dec 6, 2019This vacation home is located inside a gated community, surrounded by neighbors that are unhappy with the fact that it is being used as a revenue generator. They can and will try to make your experience here a poor one. Not described in the listing are: no on-street parking, no admission to the community for ride-shares, no check-in or check-out procedures shared in advance, and most egregiously, hidden fees (owner fee, additional guest fee, service fee, an absolutely onerous damage deposit) in addition to the base nightly rate. This property does a lot to try and look like a bargain, right up until you actually book it. I haven't booked a house in California before now through VRBO, so I can't say whether there is a common thread, but if this is unique behavior, then try another property instead.

Stayed Nov 6, 2019Upon arriving to the house, there was a very strong smell that resembled garbage. We eventually found the smell to be coming from the kitchen sink disposal. We ran the water and poured dish soap and vinegar down it. We alerted the property manager, and she had the housekeeper come check it out while we were gone, but couldn’t find the source. The step in the living room is really dangerous. Especially in low light, and there are no blinds downstairs. We were woken up at 3am on our second night, to the sound of beeping. Thinking it was the fire alarm, we took the battery out but the beeping continued. We let the property manger know, but she never responded the whole rest of our stay. We eventually realized the beeping was coming from the carbon monoxide detector, on our last day. The beeping was obnoxious and affected our sleep, so it was a little frustrating the manager wouldn’t get back to us. They didn’t provide a garage door opener, due to “the last customers taking it home with them.” There was open AND used toothpaste and mouthwash in the bathroom upstairs, along with a used hand towel downstairs. Floor was dusty. They do not provide more than a roll of paper towels, and no ice. Small garage that barely fit one car. Pretty, and quiet location, and they do provide a crib. Just needs a step up in cleanliness and communication.

Stayed Aug 16, 2019It was a beautiful home however the last step in the foyer is very dangerous. An ice maker would be nice also. A guest book would be nice to sign along with a folder with information on the operation of all appliances, WiFi codes, fire pit, etc. Also there is a leak in the garage. Thank you for a wonderful week stay. Love the gazebo.
