Beautiful sunsets, Romantic, Secluded, Fish from the deck. Lots of wildlife.

This place is fantastic! Roland and Becky are great hosts! The place had everything we needed and then some. We went for Christmas and the place was cutely decorated. Becky even left cookies for santa upon arrival. We cant wait to visit the place in the spring to enjoy the river. The desk is also awesome. It is quiet and secluded and the most comfortable place that I have ever stayed at in Mena.

We loved our visit to the Glass House Retreat! The home is well-stocked and very comfortable, the surroundings are gorgeous, and the hosts are beyond kind. We will be back!

Great stay at the Glass House Retreat. My wife and I went to celebrate our 2nd anniversary, and it was beyond expectations. The house being situated on the river and you can actually fish and catch nice fish from the deck. We came on a Friday and as they state, follow the directions THEY give you not Google bc it will take you to a dead end. The property is immaculate and beautifully laid out. They have 2 big dogs, but they are very friendly, like to be pet, lol. I had my 3month old yorkie w us and their dog even friendly to her. The house has no internet but a DVD player and direct tv w a few channels, no premium movie channels mind you. If you go it's a good idea to bring a few DVDs with you, they have some but are a few years older, you can also bring your phone as a hotspot and watch movies on your laptop. Other than that, they have EVERYTHING you can think of. They thought of everything, towels, toys, treats, doggie, cat bed for your pet, the homemade variety cookies from scratch that you get on the counter were gone before we finished unpacking, they were that good. You can open the doors and windows and hear the small river rapids behind the house it's so relaxing, even after a heavy rain the river still flows at a nice pace to enjoy it, fishing, or just taking it in. Plus, nearby Wilhemena State Park has the 2nd highest mountain in Arkansas, and has a natural spring that you can get in. All in all, one of my top 3 VRBO trips, will definitely be back soon, GREAT hosts!

Peaceful setting, thoughtful hosts, enjoyed our stay

This is a beautiful and magical place!It was everything I could have wanted and more.

Beautiful little place on a lovely, flowing creek. We enjoyed our stay here in February. The hosts met us at the door, and were warm and welcoming. They live on the property, but were not intrusive, and we did not see them after the initial welcome. There are two very friendly dogs on the property, and the rental is stocked with a dog bed and several dog toys, so I think pets are welcome. The beds were comfy, kitchen was well stocked, there were even some canned drinks already in the fridge, the bathrooms are nice, the fireplace was a fantastic bonus, with the wood already laid…we just had to strike a match. The home has some wonderful views through its large windows, the property is relaxing and very private, there is an automatic gate at the entrance. I can just imagine how wonderful the porches are to use in the spring and fall. The road in to the property is gravel, so I would not want take a nice car in and out for a stay, but it doesn’t require four wheel drive. This is not a fancy place, but it is comfy and private. We enjoyed our stay here.

Absolutely breathtaking! We even extended our stay because it is so perfect here. The hosts were so inviting and nice. We were also greeted by Reese’s and Gunner, their black labs. It is so serene and the water is constantly flowing. You can even fish from their deck.

We arrived in the dark so was very helpful to have directions to rely on as GPS not always reliable in this area. The house was lit up & welcoming with logs in the fireplace & homemade cookies in the kitchen! Hosts were very gracious & responsive. Very quiet serene setting just miles from town but felt like we were getting away from it all.

Home was ready early and let us know, all the amenities were there, if anything needed just a phone call away, very cool and secluded location easy check in and out.

We had a wonderful stay over Thanksgiving week! The beds are super comfortable, the living space was bigger than I expected (and perfect for our 11-month-old to crawl around and play), and the view of the creek through the expansive windows around the living room is beautiful. The owners have made really nice updates to the house, and it was stocked with everything you could need. The owners were also very conscientious and responsive, and they gave clear directions to access the house. I ended up needing internet access to do some work while I was there, and I had no issues whatsoever hotspotting (service is Verizon). Highly recommend this property, and we definitely plan to book again the next time we come to Mena!

This was the best get away. We arrived after dark and it was just beautiful driving in thru all the trees. The house is so nice and cozy. The hosts have thought of everything and more! Highly recommend if you want to get away and enjoy peace and quiet.

Upon arrival we were greeted by the host who were very sweet Christian people! They provided everything you would need even with special goodies! The deck area and grounds were beautiful! We saw several deer, turkey and squirrels! We wish the river would have been at a higher level, but enjoyed the serenity of the trickle. Would definitely recommend this Glass House to stay again!!

We had a great and relaxing time. It was definitely a home away from home. We will be back.

WOW—can’t say enough about this house. It is right on the river, has a nice deck, very clean, well appointed, great hosts, amazing gardens & landscaping and comfortable. All to be enjoyed. You might even get lucky like I did and see the bear!!

Hide-a-way bed in couch has a mattress in poor shape. My daughter slept on it by herself for two nights. Although, pet-friendly there are stipulations that the animals can not be on the furniture or beds. The house itself was clean and well maintained. The cupboards were maintained but did not have any cooking oil which we forgot ourselves. It rained while we were there and that was still charming and nice. The ONLY legit concern I have is for directions to the cabin. Since you can't see county road signs, we ended up going in to the Quachita National Forest and going up the mountain. It took two different phone calls to the owners to get there. And that is the best thing, the owners were available at any time and they have done the best they can to get the county out there to clean up around the Road signs. Just take your time getting there and don't be scared to call and ask for directions. OH one more thing, it was dry so no fishing off the deck.

This house was just amazing! Everything was thought of! All the comforts of home were right there. The otts know what they are doing for sure!

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. Every thing was as described and very clean. We enjoyed being able to sit out on the wrap around porch, watching the fish and turtles in the creek that run just beside the porch. Thanks to the host for all the extra details they put into the cabin to make our stay more enjoyable. .

Roland and Becky have a hidden gem this was my favorite stay for me and my daughter. So relaxing and quiet and Miss Becky with most beautiful up kept yard that she has worked so hard on. My daughter had a blast catching fish too. I couldn’t do this review without mentioning there neighbor was an excellent help to me on helping with a flat tire I had. I highly recommend renting this stay!

Beautiful and peaceful, absolutely love it.

Excellent stay. Becky went above and beyond with welcome cookies. They left worms for fishing, and poles, and just a bunch of wonderful things which you don't think of until you don't have them. We had a family gathering for 5 days, and we all enjoyed it thoroughly. Very relaxing property.

1st, there is a trick for the host to know how much interaction to have with guest…they were PERFECT. 2nd: the location was PERFECT. We wanted to be secluded, away from the daily grind. Even w the hostess on backside of property, we couldn’t see it from living room or porch. 3rd: you you can fish from the porch. 4th: come prepared to tube the Iron Fork River. Walk upstream about 50/60 yard and enjoy a relaxing 10-12 min float. We did it about 15 times. Can’t say enough about how excellent the accommodations were for 4 adults, 1 child (13yo) and 2 dogs. Everything was…PERFECT!

We truly enjoyed our stay , and the owners were great....so were the four legged greeters! I loved the fact you could fish from the deck too! The grounds remind me of what a fairy garden would be like. So much love has been put into the grounds and the cabin was so cozy...the only thing I have as a negative is the pergola with the nice seating area was gone....bummer...I would recommend this out of the way place for sure...so quiet and peaceful...like a big hug. Thanks Becky and Roland for sharing!!

Excellent property! Super clean. Beautiful setting next to a soothing river. Relaxing, peaceful. Well stocked with everything needed. Pet friendly. Wonderful hosts, kind and accommodating. We read and rested and hiked the many nearby trails in Ouachita National Forest. Tranquility.

Very well maintained property right on the river. We had so much fun fishing off the deck. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, almost like a botanical garden. Thoroughly enjoyed our very relaxing stay. The hosts could not be more accommodating.

We loved staying at the Glass House!! My twelve year old son and his friend loved fishing nonstop! We loved roaming the property all along the river. So peaceful! Are biggest highlight of the trip was the ATV rentals on the trails into the mountains. Absolutely amazing experience that I will never forget.!!

We really enjoyed this property. The owners were gracious hosts who provided a wonderful atmosphere. They have well-stocked kitchen and baths with some extras in case you forgot them. If you need something else, there's a Walmart in town. The deck was so nice to sit by and listen to the water and fish off of. Everything was welcoming for our dog, too. She loved the winding paths and enormous greenspace to explore!

Our stay was amazing. Wish we could have stayed at the house more. House was immaculate and spacious. The bed was just right. Roland and Becky are great host. The scenery is beautiful.

It’s a piece of heaven on earth. It is everything on the description and more. They left us a happy anniversary note, fabulous cookies and candy, they decorated in the Christmas spirit and had Christmas lights and Christmas music playing when we arrived. The grounds are meticulously detailed. I can’t wait to come back in the spring when everything and I mean everything is in bloom Roland and Becky greeted us shortly after arrival. They have paid attention to every detail down to the dog bed and extra leash The river was absolutely beautiful and running. The deck is an awesome place to sit and listen to the cares of the world rush away with Water running downstream. It’s a must

This home and property is exactly what we needed. Walking the property with the fall colored leaves on the ground and in the trees was beautiful. Sitting on the deck and the only sound you hear is the birds and the sound of the river passing by. My sister fished off the deck and caught catfish. Roland and Becky Ott thought of everything you would need for your stay and then some. If you are looking to getting away from it all this is your place. If you are bringing children or pets they have provided a lot of things for them. You will never regret booking this home for your stay.

Before reaching the house, we were impressed with the grounds and the ambiance of the property. Even with the river reduced to a few deep pools,due to drought, the house is beautifully situated on the river bed. The house is very clean and comfortable, the manicured woods and gardens surrounding it provide a sanctuary for those seeking peace.

Property is well kept and Roland and Becky are great! The river/creek was nearly dry due to drought, so we weren’t able to fish from the deck ☹️. Otherwise everything was great! Nice & peaceful. Trees had good color. We will be back!

This property was a nice, quiet getaway. It's large glass windows were perfect for viewing the great outdoors. The river was very low but that was ok, as our state has been in a drought as well. I would recommend driving the Queen Wilhemenia scenic drive (2 hrs) - it was so relaxing! Becky and Roland have stocked the whole house with many little things we all tend to forget to pack. Absolutely wonderful.

If you are looking for a place where you can relax, be secluded and have all the amenities, this is this is place! My husband and I went to just get away and it was beyond our expectations. The hosts are wonderful. They had music playing for us when we got there with homemade cookies and our names on the welcome bar. The cabin was super clean and had everything we needed for our stay. I highly recommend this cabin for your next get away or vacation!

Water was not high enough to kayak but it was low enough to see fish in their natural habitat. Very much enjoyed the view. Nature was literally all around! Relaxing- calming - absolutely wonderful! We will return!

Beautiful property and you couldn’t ask for better hospitality!

We were welcomed with a plate of cookies and jazz music playing on the TV. The hosts were friendly and provided us with helpful information about the area. We were disappointed in the river as it was low due to recent drought but we were still able to catch a catfish during our trip. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The grounds around the property are well maintained with many plants to enjoy and paths to walk. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is a great place to find it,
