Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Welcome to our newly renovated extravagant South Side Slopes 4br/2.5ba home! Perfect for traveling business partners, families, or groups visiting the beautiful City of Bridges! Incredible rooftop deck with skyline view. Large and relaxing living room to unwind! 2-Car private garage! A short walk to Carson St and South Side flats. Less than a 10 minute Cab/Uber to downtown and all that Pittsburgh has to offer! Comfy wrap around couch and enough space to accommodate groups of 2-12!
SLEEPING ACCOMMODATIONS: 1 king beds, 1 queens, 1 fulls, 2 single bed via daybed, 1 queen fold-out mattress pads (think air mattress, but way more comfortable and 0% chance of popping) (by request). Four levels of living space plus an expansive rooftop deck with an incredible view of the downtown skyline and Mt Washington. Open floor plan with charm, exposed brick, and a large family style kitchen. Great combination of privacy and gathering areas for families and large groups! + where else can you find a 2-car garage! ! NOTE: The 4th bedroom is the bar/game room area in the photos... this does not have a physical bed, but is a good spot for some of the fold-out mattresses!
LOCATION: Central location with easy access to everything Pittsburgh has to offer! The neighborhood is a wonderful combination of families, early 30's, college students. Pius is off of 18th street and provides faster access to the Southside compared to the traffic of Carson. Additionally, 18th street has the famous "18th street stairs" which provide a 3 story staircase down from Pius to the bottom of 18th street. To get there, exit my door and go right, travel 200 yards down the road, and the stairs will be marked by a sign. This provides quick access to Carson Street. Roughly 7-10 minute walk. 18th street and Pius both do not require parking permits.
The Southside, in general, is a staple of Pittsburgh. 100 years ago most of the Southside was steel mills. You can still see fragments of the mills at the Hot Metal Bridge and various pieces along the bike/walking path next to the river. Carson Street is a combination of bars, cafes, and quality restaurants. Down towards the end of the SouthSide is The Southside Works, which is a great, family-friendly, newer part of the city where the American Eagle Headquarters resides. Overall, this is an ideal location with easy access to everything Pittsburgh has to offer!
Downtown Pittsburgh (about a 8 min uber)
North Shore (10 min uber)
Strip district (12 min uber from SouthSide)
Lawrenceville's (15 minute uber)

Beautiful spacious property in a good location close to east Carson and downtown
Our stay was great! Clean, very spacious, and had an incredible view of the city from the upstairs patio! Would stay here again and would recommend to others!
We were in town for baseball and softball. A convenient spot for our ball players and to take in parts of the city.
Completely uneventful stay in a beautiful house with spectacular views of downtown. I had some challenges with the VRBO app freezing up on me about 20 minutes before we were supposed to check in. I texted the owner who responded just about immediately to email me the access instructions. But a really nice property inside with plenty of room for the 8 of us.
Was visiting area for a long weekend with friends. Great property within minutes of downtown and north shore. Property was well kept and spacious.
We booked this property well ahead of our daughter’s graduation from Pitt, and it was the perfect spot for our group. Comfortable furniture, beds, etc. and amazing views from the rooftop deck! Loved the charm of the exposed brick. Our visit was fantastic!
A great stay, perfect for multiple families. Garage is tight especially for a large car but road parking was fine. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend.
Overall a fantastic property. The view was spectacular and there was plenty of room for our group to spread out. We greatly enjoyed the place and it's walking distance to local bars and restaurants. I would highly recommend staying here and enjoying a trip to Pittsburgh!
When you arrive at the property, you may feel regret for booking because of the crowded streets with houses right on top of the other and only a garage door and front door to see. However, the inside is definitely worth it! The pictures online are accurate and the views from the top deck are amazing. We had a group of 8 adults that fit perfectly without the need for the use of any of the extra floor mattresses. One negative would be that there are only two showers - to sleep as many as it advertises, it would be nice to have another one, but we managed. Thankfully we had no issues with running out of hot water. The other big negative is the parking situation. The garage is listed as a two car garage, but it would have to be two compact cars to fit. We had a rented SUV and sedan and only the SUV fit in there, with very little room to open the doors and walk beside it. Thankfully the provided information about additional parking was helpful, but slightly inconvenient to park the second car on a nearby busy street. The kitchen supplies are definitely aged and could use updating (burned on stains on cookie sheets for example).
Great place!
The outside of the property is rough, but the inside is amazing. The view from the top balcony is priceless. Would stay here again when visiting the 'Burgh.
Our group of 6 adults & 5 children enjoyed our stay at this property. The views from the roof deck are outstanding and we found the location easily driveable to most spots. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped and the property was very clean.
We had the extended family in tow for a graduation at Pitt. Great space to be together, but also have your own space. The roof top view is even better than you think. The kitchen bar area is definitely funky, but we found it fun (then again maybe we are too short :). The host was responsive on two, small unforeseen issues. We'd highly recommend this place!
