Beautiful property and home. Was a wonderful experience. Would like to visit again.
We had so much fun here! Thank you for sharing your clean, cozy cottage. We loved that the beach was a 10 minute walk (or short drive with gear and kids), a best bakery was a 5 minute walk away, we were close to so many fun things and a great screened-in porch at the house. We had a great family vacation. We can’t wait to come back!
All the comforts of home. Very spacious and clean. Loved seeing all the birds and deer. Highly recommend !
The house is immaculate with very clear directions regarding the house. I saw deer and babies every morning right across the street. They have everything you need regarding pots, pans, storage. Just a great place
Beautiful home in quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to beach, antique shops, bakery and some restaurants. Hosts are very welcoming and easy to get in touch with! Would definitely use this property again!
My group of 2 adults and 2 young kids had a wonderful stay. The cottage was very comfortable, clean, and well-stocked, with space for everyone to stretch out and relax and a very nice screened in porch to enjoy the nice weather. The location is fantastic, with the bakery and the beach in walking distance. We would definitely stay here again in the future!
This cottage is very charming and wonderfully clean. It's a great value for how close you are to Lake Michigan. It's within walking distance to Cherry Beach and Harbert Beach and only a 5 minute drive to Warren Dunes State Park. There is a long walking/biking trail going down Red Arrow Highway that can easily lead you to bakeries, restaurants, and a park. The kitchen stocked with any gadgets you may need. The master bathroom is absolutely gorgeous. Checking in and out is very easy. The property management is incredibly responsive. We already are anticipating booking next year!
Lovely, clean home in a quiet, wooded neighborhood. This cottage has every necessity and comfort. Furniture and beds are comfortable, sheets are soft. Home is stocked with everything a family needs. We were a group of 4 adults and two small children. We especially enjoyed the screened porch and firepit with smore ingredients provided by the hosts. Very close to multiple beaches. Bring your own beach towels and fire-starter logs (wood is on-site, but needs a little help to get going) and you will have a great time.
It was great. Clean comfortable good location would like to go back. Really enjoyed it!
Overall we liked the house and the location UNTIL we headed home and learned the owner decided to keep a large portion of our deposit for no reason. We followed every house rule and our family treated the house and property as if it was our own. We followed the check-in and check-out checklist and even washed all the towels to give the cleaners a head start. Their claim was that we had a dog on the property that a neighbor saw, and that the housekeeper found dog hair and pine needles in the house requiring extra cleaning. Here’s the thing- we had NO DOG at any point in our visit! We traveled over 9 hours and spent most of our time at the beach so bringing a pet along would have been unmanageable. We also had no visitors. It is absolutely impossible for anyone to have seen a dog with us! Other families walked through the neighborhood headed to the beach and some had dogs with them, but I never recall any group lingering in the yard while we were there. We were also never allowed to see any “proof” of a dog, dog hair, or the extra cleaning bill they were supposedly charged- just withheld our deposit without any recourse. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were some pine needles in the house as the property is covered in pine trees and we had 3 young children along. However, we were already paying for professional cleaning and assure you that we left the home at an appropriate level of cleanliness when we left. Further, if dog hair was in the home it could have been from previous renters as we were somewhat grossed out that there was hair clogging the bathtub drain and we also found an earring on the carpet while staying. At any point during our stay if the owners were concerned we had a dog they could have contacted us or come over to check. They only communicated this by keeping our deposit after we were already driving home- causing stress and ruining our return trip. We attempted to contact VRBO twice to resolve this, and they kept sending our case to a “higher unit.” We waited weeks and were never contacted back. Since we live so far away taking this to small claims court is not an option. Please beware.
This was a perfect place to catch up with old friends. Just as pictured and clean! We spent most of our time on the porch & beach and look forward to our next visit!
This was a great location and very cute cottage feel. The Swedish bakery down the street was wonderful for breakfast/brunch.
We had a great experience at the cottage! It is such a cute little place, surrounded by gorgeous hydrangeas, yet feels very spacious inside! Hosts took great care to think of everything! From a fully stocked kitchen with every tool or appliance you could need to games galore. Lots of helpful labels and discreet signs around to make things easier. Master Bathroom was shockingly awesome! Pictures don't do it justice with four skylights, gorgeous light fixtures and huge shower with rain head, body spray jets and hand held sprayer; perfect for soothing away aches after a long hike or day on the water. Can't say enough good things about this place! I highly recommend it!
This house was perfect for our girls getaway this past June. The house was well stocked with everything you could need, was very clean and in the perfect location for sightseeing, wine tasting and shopping. Just a short walk and you were at beautiful Lake Michigan enjoying a sunset.
Great spot to getaway to nearby Lake Michigan! Very clean and roomy for our group. Hosts were very helpful with accommodations and suggestions of fun activities close by. ?
