Beautiful oceanfront beach cottage in South Nags Head

Where to begin, let’s start with no email about check in process. I had to call the owner to get the keyless door code. The sliding glass door was broke off and wasn’t locked. We had to lock it with a wooden stick. The view was obscured by the grasses and the dune. But could see the ocean. There is not a beach you have to walk to get a decent place to sit. Since the LITTLE DEBBIE storm we had no beach accessibility at the house had to walk down the road to another access. The house is older and looks to have some updates not much. The carpet needs to go it smells, wood or vinyl is a better choice. The location is good.

Loved the location on the beach with awesome views of the ocean. So nice to be away from other crowded beach area.

This home has been well cared for and was super clean! We loved the early morning sunrise with an unobstructed view of the ocean! Too bad the weather didn't cooperate for us...thank heavens the house was spectacular!

Overall good experience and great quiet location with amazing views and access to the property. Lots of bedroom and closet space and access to beach chairs and toys for the kids. Comfortable furniture and a good sized countertop with stools and a huge table for the family to be around to enjoy. The updates done were tasteful and very nice. Some minor cleanliness issues with pots and pans being dirty in cabinets, ants in kitchen (easy fix with some traps; with location it is to be expected a bit) and a dining room chair that collapsed at dinner with a guest in it but all other furniture was sturdy enough. TV had a Roku so access to all streaming services was great. We had small children and the steps are narrow going down and we needed to move a chair to block the entrance to keep the two year old safe. Would recommend a nightlight at bottom of stairs as two adults fell going down at night towards the last step as they are short and narrow but it’s also just the design of the beach house with the two levels. Would also recommend an internal deadbolt lock higher up that kids can’t reach and get out as the steps and railings are high. Recommend to bring trash bags as none were available outside the one in the trashcan. Again, overall good location and rental house. The quiet beach location not being near hotels and the immediate access and views were great.

Terrific house right on the beach with unobstructed beach views in each direction. The house is very well cared for and the upper floor and living space and deck were great social spaces. Recommend!

You can’t beat the location of this home right on the beach. It is nicely updated with cute decor. The large windows in the kitchen and dining area are great for oceanfront views.
