The property was well cared for, roomy and comfortable. We appreciated the outdoor lighting that activated when we drove back to the home in the dark. The master bedroom (and bed) were particularly comfortable, as was the main room furniture. I have two complaints, however: 1. The main bathroom tub/shower floor is far too slippery for safety. I am in my late 50s, but fit and active, so I'm not (yet) decrepit and frail, but I would be very concerned if I had mobility issues or difficulty with balance. 2. The internet was essentially unusable, despite several reboots of the WiFi access point/router. I know the description of the property includes commentary regarding spotty or unreliable access, but it was so bad that we were essentially limited to using cellular networks during our stay.
Spent a week at bear den and it was great. Few things could be improved but the the management team went out of their way to make up for any shortcomings. Only minor issue I had was with a gate bell that’s (I think) set up to ring when someone or something passes through and with the deer in the area it would ring periodically in the middle of the night.
We had great time. Stayed at the Bear Den for 3 nights. Enjoyed a deer family showing up at the property every day. House was clean and just great for family of 4. I think it can accommodate 4 more. In close vicinity of Bear lake, Yosemite. I would definitely recommend this place for a nice & quiet stay and relax. I wish I can buy a place like this :) Thank you.
I rented the house for my father, brother and me on a trip to Yosemite. The house was spotless, the heating worked perfect, and it was just as described. Kitchen and bath nicely updated. The only issue is that the internet performance is poor, but that is more likely a function of the mountain location than anything else.
The home was perfect! Clean, comfy, beautiful backyard! The only issue was the cute old fashioned tub I couldn’t get hot water from it..we all had to shower in stand up shower. But overall perfect! Would stay again
