Beautiful lakeside family or corporate retreat with pool, hot tub, and more!

We very much enjoyed the house, the property, the neighborhood, and the lake. The house had plenty of space for all of us and easy access to the lake. The neighborhood itself was friendly and quite (we were there in the off season). The location of the house also provides convenient access to most restaurants and shops on the east side of the lake.We also found the hosts to be very communicative / responded quickly.10/10 would recommend for familes.

Incredible home. Just as described- actually it’s even better in person. Didn’t get to enjoy the pool, as it’s too late in the year but you couldn’t ask for anything more. This house truly has it all. It was the perfect spot for our trip. Spotless, has every amenity you could want. Lots of parking. The boat dock was perfect for our boats to tie up to. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! 12/10!

What a gem! We stayed at this house this September, and it was perfect in every respect. The location is awesome — secluded and private, with direct access to the lake, and a dock that we could use to tie our boat. The house is appointed with such an exquisite taste that it makes you think of Newport mansions, yet it has a charm and homey feel of a family house, has every modern fixture, and is spotless-clean. Dennis is an excellent host: prompt and clear with communications, welcoming and a pleasure to deal with. We cannot recommend this property highly enough!Andrey

We absolutely loved this property. We loved the location. It is right near Mitchell’s for fueling boats. We always like to stay down in this area when we come to lake - closer to dam and mountains. The house was clean and beautiful. The back area pool, hot tub and fire pit is gorgeous and so nice to hang out. The pool felt great and was heated. Just a perfect place for our family of 8 to spend a long weekend. We will definitely be back. Best meal at Napoli on the Lake.

Had a wonderful stay at this lakeside retreat. The amenities are unmatched for the area with the hot tub, pool, dock and fire pit. The view of the lake also cannot be beat. It is conveniently located near the state park, marina and grocery store. The owners are very nice and came by to say hello while retrieving their boat one of the nights. We have already booked for next year.

My family (children and grandchildren) enjoyed the house for the 2nd year in a row. SML has become our favorite summer destination. It is a beautiful property in a great location. We rented a boat and wave runners for the week but as we travelled with little children the pool is a necessity. I do highly recommend this rental if you are visiting SML just leave me a week in August! Thanks for sharing your amazing home Dennis and Mary Ann

The house was beautiful and spacious - the setting on the lake, with a pool and dock, was very inviting.Our whole family enjoyed the house for the week.The place was well-maintained and had everything we needed to relax and enjoy. Would do it again.

The property was great. Beautiful large, home directly on the lake with plenty of space for our family both inside and out. Lots of amenities including the pool, hot tub, fire pit, barbeque and lakeside dock with toys, kayaks and life jackets. However I must point out that the rental descriptiom on VRBO said there were 2 kingsize beds in the house but in reality, there was only 1. otherwise this would have been a 5/5.

The home is spacious and beautiful. It was very hot during our stay so the saltwater pool and lake were very much utilized. We did rent a boat for the day and the kids and adults loved the tubing. Dennis and Mary Ann are great owners and made themselves available if needed. This was are second stay at this home.

Beautiful, spacious, welcoming - just a few superlatives describing our wonderful trip and stay at Dennis and Mary Ann’s home at Smith Mountain Lake. This is the second year that my family and I have stayed here over Memorial Day to celebrate birthdays and the beginning of summer. From the hot tub to the fire pit to the amazing pool, all the kids and family members had a fantastic time. It's on a quiet cove right on the lake with beautiful views. We rented a boat and enjoyed the lake and scenery of the mountains. I highly recommend this home for your next getaway. It had plenty of room for my family with an open kitchen and different areas for gathering. We are creating wonderful memories and look forward to returning next year. Thank you!

Rented this place for the weekend to celebrate a birthday. Great spot to get together with friends. House and stay were great. Only thing I have to say is that the cleaning / check out process was a little unreasonable.

We had a wonderful stay! The lakefront view was stunning and provided the perfect peaceful backdrop for a relaxing getaway. The quiet neighborhood made it easy to unwind, and we especially enjoyed ending our evenings in the hot tub under the stars or gathered around the fire pit. The kitchen was well-equipped, which made preparing homemade meals a breeze. Beds were comfortable—everyone slept great! We would definitely return. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a cozy, scenic retreat.

Single best VRBO I've stayed at. Beautiful house, well appointed and fully stocked. The property is peaceful and packed with options for fun. The owners were very easy to communicate with and helpful. We will definitely be back!

The house is beautiful, with plenty of space for everyone. Beds were all very comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked with appliances. Great views and lake access and the teens enjoyed the fire pit--nice to have plenty of firewood at the house and smore sticks available. Nearest grocery store is about a 20 minute drive, but there was a corner store, White House Store, which had the basics only about 10 minutes. Definitely recommend, hosts were very helpful.

Had a wonderful family vacation at Smith Mountain Lake. The lake house was awesome. The house had everything available that we needed. We swam in the pool, relaxed in the hot tub, went kayaking and rented a boat to explore the lake and go tubing. We also went fishing. The boat rental was very convenient as the marina was just across the cove from the house. The house was absolutely beautiful and the host promptly answered all of our questions. 5 stars out of 5

You can’t beat the view with a large tranquil cove off SML and that gorgeous salt water pool. Coffee on the upper deck in the morning was awesome. Our family had a nice time and made many happy memories.

This home is absolutely magnificent. It is right on the waterfront with a beautiful private dock equipped with two double seater kayaks and plenty of life preservers. We were able to fish and swim off of the dock. Fish were caught to the kids delight. The water is very clean. It also includes and salt water pool and a large hot tub that we all enjoyed, Our last night we set up a glow stick pool party with a fire. S'mores were of course the main attraction. During the week there was hiking with observing the many deer residents that seemed comfortable with our presence. A dinner out with karaoke, putt-putt, bungee jumping and delicious adult beverages. The kitchen is set up for entertaining. There is enough room in the home to also seek solitude if need be. We are excited to make more heart felt memories soon at this location. Dennis and MaryAnn were definitely a big plus to work with, They responded quickly to any questions that popped up.
