Our lakehouse has wonderful views of Lake Nantahala and features a rustic mountain décor. We offer a large kitchen, dining room, two large fully-furnished family/rec rooms and 3 full+1 half bath. We can sleep 12 comfortably. We have Frontier DSL high speed internet and satellite [DirecTV] with streaming capabilities. Stayed Nov 23, 2025Wonderful home. Cozy outdoor living room with fireplace was great for after dinner movies. The boat house was fully stocked with everything you need for fun in the lake. The house had all the touches that make it feel like a home.

Stayed Jul 5, 2025Wonderful. Although a pontoon boat is available, it is only 35 horsepower, which is very slow. As a family, we love tubing, and 35 horsepower is much too slow. We rent a pontoon from Lake's End that is 150 HP for tubing. That being said, the boat for the house that is parked at the house dock is an impediment. That means there is a boat docked on either side of the house dock, limiting the area for guests to swim. We bring a Lilly pad for the children, and the the house-owned boat limits their area to swim, play and fish. The dryer timer does not work. Would like some games such as shuffleboard and air hockey for families. Not criticisms, just suggestions. A Lilly pad would be nice.

Stayed Jun 7, 2025This house has it all! One of the most spectacular lake views, clean and spacious, and very well stocked. Pristine lake water and every lake accessory to have fun on the lake which includes paddle boards, canoes, pontoon boat and fishing poles. Will definitely come back. Diane was very helpful and made my stay so much easier.

Stayed Dec 23, 2024This is my second time staying here and it did not disappoint! My family (my husband and our three kids ages 10,8,6, my sister and her 11 year old) and I absolutely love it here and never want to leave lol. Diane is an amazing host, so easy to communicate with and always prompt with responding to any questions. Her property has one of the best views of lake Nantahala, providing a wide view which is vast and gorgeous, even in the dead of winter! We came for Christmas and it was lovely, had good weather and on the warmest day (60 degrees) our kids went kayaking over to the little peninsula and hiked and had a great time. All the beds were super comfortable, kitchen well stocked with the essentials. Plenty of space for us with plenty more room to have another family there too. There is a bottom floor with a kitchenette, tv room and bedroom that was awesome for the kids to hang out, play games and watch movies.Both indoor and outdoor spaces were great. I loved the peace and tranquility the quiet nature brought us here. No light pollution or traffic heard here which is I think amazing. I am definitely planning on coming here again!

Stayed Sep 21, 2024I booked this place for my wedding party and myself to stay at. This home is beautiful. The outdoor area with the fireplace was our favorite part! We had such a great time staying here. Also, the host was the most thoughtful and great host I’ve ever encountered. She left us a very sweet wedding gift. I can’t recommend this place enough. We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed Aug 28, 2024Diane's Lake House provided everything you could dream of for a mountain lake get away! The home is spacious, well stocked and comfortable. Easy access to the dock and watercraft were a highlight of the trip. The exceptional outdoor fire-pit provided a cozy atmosphere for gathering and playing games. Diane was so attentive to our needs during our stay and went out of her way to make sure our visit was a pleasurable experience. It would be fun in the colder months as well with outdoor fireplace and heaters. Very well appointed living spaces and well stocked kitchen. Stayed Aug 3, 2024This was our second time staying here and it again was perfect in every way. Diane’s home is super clean , and is fully stocked with anything you may need . The view of the lake is amazing and my family enjoyed skiing all Week. The house is also well equipped with life vests and water toys. This was our 5th summer on lake Nantahala and this is our favorite house !!

Stayed Jul 29, 2024This house is PERFECTION in every way!! I honestly can’t say enough wonderful things about it! It’s gorgeous in the photos and even better in person! We have stayed on the lake before this house is by far the best we have stayed at! If you have been to the lake you know that some houses have super steep drive ways and also many many steps down to the dock. The driveway to this house is basically flat and super easy and convenient. There are wooden steps to the dock that make for an easy an easy and accessible path, and also not so many steps like some of the other houses. The house has lake views from every floor. The dock is spacious and so beautiful. Theres is an amazing stone deck down by the dock to sit and watch the lake and relax. It’s gorgeous and so comfortable! The outdoor sitting area with the fire place is amazing! We sat and played games and roasted s’mores! This house even has a full storage room full of every lake toy you can think of for the guests yes! We were a family of 10 and everyone slept very comfortably l! All the beds were great! Diane is absolutely the best host! She was extremely detailed with every instruction. The house is beyond organized and everything is labeled so you know where to find everything. She was so kind and available for anything we needed! I can’t say enough about our time at the lake! We will definitely be back to this house!

Stayed Jul 23, 2024It is hard to decide which amenity was our favorite in this lovely Lake Nantahala home. The fully equipped kitchen, the covered pavilion with fireplace, and the dock access with fun pontoon were all accessible and clean. Our time fishing, paddle boarding, outdoor grilling, game playing, and s'more making was fun with family and friends. The owner, Diane, was very friendly and helpful. We are already planning our next stay.
